Woman found dead in south Sacramento home, homicide investigation underway
Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation into the death of a woman in south Sacramento over the weekend. Sacramento police say first responders were called to a home along Center Parkway, near Tangerine Avenue, a little before 4 p.m. Sunday over reports of a woman being found unresponsive. Officers noted that the woman had "traumatic injuries," but no specifics were given. Medics pronounced the woman dead at the scene, police say. Her identity has not been released by authorities. Crime scene investigators and homicide detectives were out processing the scene Sunday. No suspect information was available.

3 hurt in fiery crash involving stolen car in Dolton, Illinois
Three people were injured after a crash caused a car to flip over and explode Friday afternoon in south suburban Dolton. The car was seen on its side near the corner of Sibley and Cottage Grove. A village spokesperson said a person was driving a stolen car when it hit another car and then flipped over another vehicle. The spokesperson said three people were taken to the hospital— two of them with traumatic injuries. Their genders and ages were not released. It is unclear if the person driving the stolen car is in custody or if any charges will be filed.
