Man dead after being struck by tree in Dorval, Que.
A man in his 50s has died after a tree fell on him Wednesday morning in Dorval, Que.
The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) said a 911 call was placed around 10:40 a.m. to report the incident at a private residence near Brookhaven and Carson avenues.
An SPVM spokesperson said the man suffered "significant" injuries and was unconscious when he was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The SPVM says it was a work-related incident.
The CNESST, Quebec's workplace safety board, is investigating. It says the man was working for a tree-trimming company when the incident happened.
