Disgraced Harrods owner Mohamed al Fayed 'bought Princess Diana's old school to groom and rape underage girls', new book claims
Princess Diana 's old school to groom and rape underage girls, a new book has claimed. A former teacher at West Heath School in Kent, England, has revealed how the disgraced businessman bought the school on the promise to protect Diana's legacy - but instead used it to prey on vulnerable school pupils. The former owner of Harrods, who died in 2023 aged 94, raped one school girl, caused the suicide of another, and even fathered a baby with one underage pupil, the bombshell book alleges. In an extract from The Monster Of Harrods seen by The Sun, author Alison Kervin reveals how the depraved Egyptian business mogul targeted vulnerable school girls as well as young players at Fulham FC. Just a year after the death of the Princess of Wales in May 1998, al Fayed bought West Heath School which was teetering on the brink of financial collapse, under the guise of protecting a place which had been so special to the late royal. The Monster Of Harrods alleges that the businessman would regularly wander around the school unaccompanied, chatting to underage pupils. A former teacher revealed his visits always seemed inappropriate and 'creepy'. The former teacher explained he believed al Fayed was grooming the pupils and said he would promise them careers after they had finished and shower them with gifts from Harrods. The former owner of Fulham FC would also allegedly give girls lifts in his Rolls Royce and invite them to his house. He said: 'He shouldn't have been there. Benefactor or not, a man of that age should not be mixing with young girls, offering them lifts in his and chauffeur-driven limo, and buying them presents before inviting them to his house. How is any of that appropriate?'. The tell-all book also claims that one pupil was attacked by al Fayed in a bathroom, ripping her clothes and hurting her after inviting her to Harrods. A former pupil described how her friend was terrified to share what had happened to her: 'He told her that her parents would be told about how she had behaved and all the school would know that she was the one who had closed the school down. She was terrified - she felt like she was to blame, and nothing I said would calm her down.' Author Ms Kervin alleges that the brutal businessman threatened to close the school if the pupil reported him and refused to go to the police or to lawyers until the litany sexual abuse was revealed following his death. The former pupil said she was also aware of at least one other pupil who was raped by the predator and another who gave birth to a secret child. She also believes one woman committed suicide because of her experience with al Fayed. The school told The Sun: 'We do not tolerate abuse or harassment in any form.' In September 2024, in response to the BBC documentary Al Fayed: Predator At Harrods, they commented: 'We have no further information other than what is currently in the news.' And his abuse did not end with the Princess Diana's former school. A former soccer player for the Fulham Women's team al Fayed set up revealed she was humiliated and sexually harassed by the club owner. In The Monster Of Harrods, she alleges that she was desperate to become a footballer and took al Fayed at his word when he promised to help her make the team. She described sharing her hopes with the businessman who offered to speak with her privately in his apartment. But when she arrived, she claimed the conversation was centered around whether she had a boyfriend and if she had lost her virginity. When conversation did turn to football, the promising player said she was asked to show off her legs and despite feeling uncomfortable, took off her tracksuit bottoms at which point al Fayed tried to reach out and touch her. She said he also asked her to take off her underwear but he felt uncomfortable and ran for the door only to find it locked. She said she repeatedly banged on the door while al Fayed laughed at her. After her experience she said she fell out of love with the game and eventually left the club. And the aspiring player was one of several who experienced harassment and abuse at the hands of the al Fayed and despite them all reporting it to the police, they say nothing ever came of it. Mohamed al Fayed was hit with an avalanche of rape and assault claims after at least two former Harrods workers told a BBC documentary they had been raped or molested by the Egyptian tycoon. Meanwhile last year, London's Metropolitan Police revealed they were investigating 40 new allegations against al Fayed and others since the BBC documentary. The 40 new allegations related to 40 alleged victims and were in addition to allegations police were aware of before the BBC's investigation and documentary, Scotland Yard said. Prior to recent media coverage, 21 allegations were made against the late billionaire which resulted in crimes being recorded relating to 21 separate women between 2005 and 2023. The Met has now widened its investigation to look at associates who may have assisted and facilitated the abuse - meaning criminal charges could still be on the cards even though the direct perpetrators have died. It comes as a survivors group Justice for Harrods Survivors says it has 'credible evidence' suggesting the sexual abuse allegedly perpetrated at Harrods and the billionaire's properties 'was not limited to Mr al Fayed himself'.

Troubling history of man 'who bought beers for 20-year-old Pirates fan' before near-death plunge
The man charged with buying alcohol for the underage fan who fell from the outfield stands at Pittsburgh's PNC Park already had a lengthy rap sheet before the April 30 incident. Ethan Kirkwood, 21, was arrested Tuesday for allegedly buying alcohol for his 20-year-old friend, Kavan Markwood, a college football player who was left critically injured after falling 21 feet from the bleachers to the warning track during a Pirates game last month. Markwood continues to recover from a broken neck, back and collarbone, as well as a traumatic brain injury, while Kirkwood faces misdemeanor charges of furnishing alcohol to a minor. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 23. Kirkwood has admitted to buying alcohol for Markwood at the game, according to a criminal complaint obtained by WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh. Surveillance video from PNC Park shows Kirkwood buying two 24-ounce beers before another video minutes later shows Kirkwood and Markwood together, each with one beer. His previous arrests were reported Wednesday by the US Sun and corroborated by Daily Mail with the help of Lexis Nexis and various internet reports. In 2022, when Kirkwood was a minor, he pleaded guilty to public drunkenness and purchasing alcohol for another minor before being arrested and admitting to the same charges again in 2023. Markwood, 20, went tumbling over the wall and crashing onto the field in a horrifying moment This year, Kirkwood has faced several traffic violations, such as a reckless driving charge in Allegheny County. He has since pleaded guilty to careless driving and paid a $327 fine. He was also picked up for operating a vehicle without a valid inspection but managed to beat that charge. Meanwhile, Allegheny General Hospital chief medical officer Dr. Allan Philp has issued positive reports on Markwood's recovery. "I'm happy to say that he's progressed well; he's at a point now where he's off the breathing machine, he's out of the intensive care unit, and is preparing to move on to the next step, which will be physical therapy, rehab," he told WTAE. Footage from the Pirates-Chicago Cubs game shows Kirkwood jumping up and down in the front row of the right-field stands when he somehow ends up topping over the railing and landing on the warning track.

Hartselle man out on bond for burglary arrested for second-degree rape
May 17—A 27-year-old Hartselle man was charged with three counts of second-degree rape after investigators say he had sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old on three separate occasions, according to an affidavit. The Morgan County Sheriff's Office said they arrested Benjamin Preston Bolan on Tuesday at an apartment on Mitwede Street in Hartselle and initially held him in lieu of a $300,000 bond. On Wednesday, Morgan County District Judge Stephen Brown revoked that bond after finding probable cause that Bolan committed new crimes while out on release for a previous third-degree burglary charge, according to court records. On April 26, an investigator with the Sheriff's Office contacted the Department of Human Resources after he received a report from the father of a 13-year-old female that his daughter had sex with a male over the age of 21, according to the affidavit. The investigator conducted a forensic interview with the victim on May 7. "She disclosed during the forensic interview that the male subject's name was (Ben) and they had sex at three different locations," the affidavit said. "Two of the locations were at her mawmaw's house and her mimi's house. The third location is unknown." The affidavit said during the third encounter, Bolan parked down the street and the victim walked to his vehicle and had sex inside. "(The victim) disclosed that every time he showed up, they smoked weed and had sex and he knew she was 13 years old and he could get in trouble," the affidavit said. On May 8, the victim and her mother came to the Sheriff's Office and gave the investigator a picture of the victim and Bolan, and he confirmed Bolan as a suspect from the picture on his driver's license. "(The victim) also identified Bolan in a photo lineup and the vehicle he was driving," the affidavit said. Bolan also faces other charges. In 2024, Bolan was charged with third-degree robbery. An affidavit said the owner of a storage unit in Hartselle made a report on Oct. 31 that the unit had been broken into and multiple items including a guitar, amplifier, and power tools were stolen. On Nov. 4, a Morgan County Sheriff's deputy went to Pawns of Decatur and recovered a receipt showing that Bolan had pawned the items from the storage unit on July 1 for $650 and "then went back to get the pawned items on July 22." He was arrested and taken to Morgan County Jail on Nov. 6, but was released the same day on $2,500 bail, according to court records. — or 256-340-2442.

Auckland man admits to prostituting and being in illegal relationship with 14-year-old girl
Wiparera Paraire found the girl prostitution work, ensured she was paid and got her to recruit her friends. Photo: Women's Refuge WARNING: This story includes content that some viewers may find disturbing An Auckland man has admitted prostituting a 14-year-old girl he was in an illegal relationship with, and recruiting her friends to join them. Wiparera Paraire, 26, on Wednesday pleaded guilty to four charges relating to sexually exploiting young people at the High Court in Auckland. He remains in custody until his sentencing in July. The agreed summary of facts laid out Paraire's offending. Paraire was in a relationship with the 14-year-old girl between April 2023 and January 2024, the document said. A month after the relationship began the girl had run away from home, and during the police search officers "explicitly" told Paraire of her age, it said. Despite that, he continued their relationship. Paraire found the girl prostitution work, ensured she was paid, and got her to recruit her friends - who were also underage - to prostitute themselves, the report stated. It said the 14-year-old's mother found messages from Paraire on her daughter's Snapchat account that were "of an overtly sexual nature" and began monitoring them to see what he was sending her. On one occasion, the girl had been admitted to hospital for assessment by a mental health team. Paraire said: "Where are you, I have work for you tonight someone's been calling". On another, they exchanged messages about a group of people she had claimed to have met up with, and who wanted sex, it said. Paraire instructed the girl to "try get em to get as fkd up as possible act cute don't get too fkd up". He encouraged her to flirt with them, and "make future business". The document showed a week later, the girl told Paraire she was at a hotel with somebody and had "made some money", and was waiting for him to go to sleep. "Ayy ata girl", Paraire replied. He encouraged her to pickpocket the man or distract him through sexual acts but she protested, saying she had already performed sex acts with him, and been paid. The document revealed the girl had also told Paraire her friend wanted to "be on board" and sent him a full body nude picture of her. "Just tell her that you have this guy that will help her make money if she's down," Paraire said. The messages indicated the pair would take a cut from whatever the friend earned, the document said. Paraire pleaded guilty to one charge each of dealing in a person under 18 for sexual exploitation, agreeing to deal in a person under 18 for sexual exploitation, knowingly making an objectionable publication and sexual conduct with a young person under 16. The first three charges carry a maximum sentence of 14 years in jail, and the final charge has a maximum sentence of 10 years' imprisonment.
