Bristol, Tenn. City Council makes changes to water rates
BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Bristol, Tennessee City Council approved changes to water rates Tuesday night.
Currently, the first 1,000 gallons are free to water customers. But starting in July, customers will instead pay for all water used.
The change means most customers will see an increase of $3.14 in their monthly water bills.
The city also said charges to utility customers will increase by 5% for customers inside and outside the city through 2029 before considering further adjustments in 2030.
