Road in front of airport Costco to close temporarily
The westbound lanes of 46 Avenue near the airport Costco will close for a few days in August 2025. (Supplied) The road in front of Costco near the Edmonton International Airport (YEG) will close temporarily for repairs. The westbound lanes on 46 Avenue up to 26 Street will close on Sunday for utility work. One lane will open on Aug. 18 and the road will fully reopen on Aug. 22. 'This temporary road closure is due to utility work required for the Airpoint II development west of Costco,' the airport said in a release on Friday. Drivers are asked to plan ahead and follow detour signs.

Road reopens in Carlisle after utility works caused 'severe delays'
A ROAD in Carlisle is now open, according to Cumbria Road Watch, after undergoing utility work. James Street in Carlisle was closed from Tuesday, August 5, and reopened today (Thursday, August 7). During the closure, drivers experienced delays on surrounding routes as traffic was diverted. Stagecoach Cumbria also said all their services using Botchergate were experiencing 'severe delays'. The road was closed northbound between the petrol station and Nelson Bridge.
