Sioux City Historic Preservation Commission to host downtown walking tour
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Sioux City Historic Preservation Commission is hosting a walking tour of the northern downtown area Tuesday evening. The event comes as part of the annual celebration of Historic Preservation Week. Road construction season is underway in both Iowa and Nebraska The stroll will begin at the Sioux City Public Museum at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6. Museum Archivist Tom Munson will guide the tour, which will focus on the history of the area as well as local architecture. The event is free and open to the public.
