Ever since the pandemic passed, I've been consistently trying to find the perfect method to achieve this 'work-life' balance that a lot of people are chasing. However, recently, a thought came to mind; what if what we really need is work-life integration more than balance? This is because what does 'balance' mean in a world that's on fire anyway?
One of the few things I've enjoyed about our post-pandemic lives is embracing remote work. Not only has it made it possible for me to show up to work on my terms, but it has also created small windows where I can enjoy life in-between all the deadlines and stand-up meetings. While it has been easy to embrace this new way of work, I find that many other women have struggled with exploring it for various reasons.
What is digital nomadism?
Once associated primarily with millennials, digital nomadism is now attracting people of all ages, including women over 40. Digital nomadism is a lifestyle that allows people to work remotely while travelling and living in different locations around the world. Unlike the traditional nine-to-five office job, digital nomads have the freedom to choose their own schedules and work environments.
