Real Madrid starlet called up for senior training for 2nd day in a row
A highly-regarded up-and-coming member of the youth ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid was on Wednesday afforded a fresh chance to showcase his talents at senior level. The player in question? Thiago Pitarch. The name of youngster Pitarch all of a sudden emerged as a prominent one in the media chatter surrounding Real Madrid on Tuesday. This came after word was forthcoming that the midfielder, fresh off celebrating his 18th birthday, had been called up to train alongside Xabi Alonso's senior Blancos squad. And as alluded to above, Pitarch evidently did enough to impress Real's first-team coaching staff. As much comes amid confirmation that the Spaniard, who spent last season plying his trade with Los Merengues' U19s, was this morning called up to senior duties at Valdebebas once more. Amid something of a shortage of options in his midfield ranks at present, Xabi Alonso appears to have identified Pitarch as a player who could potentially contribute this coming season. Official: Highly-regarded Barcelona youngster leaves in permanent deal
La Liga champions Barcelona have this week bid farewell to an altogether highly-regarded member of the club's youth ranks. The player in question? Eman Košpo. Stopper Košpo is for his part fresh off a starring campaign with Barcelona's U19s, which saw the Swiss play a leading role in an eventual treble. Advertisement Košpo is considered one of the standout up-and-coming talents in Catalunya's capital, long hailed for his abilities on both sides of the ball. It therefore came as a major surprise when word was forthcoming over recent days that, out of the blue, the 18-year-old was on the verge of moving on. News of as much did not go down at all well with those of a Barca persuasion, aware of Košpo's significant potential. But as alluded to above, this has not stopped the two parties, this week, from parting ways. Manchester United sign young forward Enzo Kana-Biyik
Manchester United have signed talented young forward Enzo Kana-Biyik as they continue to bolster their youth ranks in their future planning. Kana-Biyik, who scored nine goals in 18 appearances for Le Havre's Under-19 side last season, will not be in first-team contention for Ruben Amorim 's side now. United have immediately loaned Kana-Biyik to Lausanne, who finished fifth in the Swiss Super League last season. United have brought in a series of young players in Amorim's reign, with Patrick Dorgu, bought at 20 in January, making 20 appearances and 18-year-old Ayden Heaven going on to make six first-team appearances. Left wing-back Diego Leon, 18, completed his move from Cerro Porteno on Saturday in a deal that could cost £7m. The Paraguayan has said he hopes to be in the first-team squad this season.
