Shafaq News/ On Thursday, the Israeli military urged residents in Beit Hanoun and Sheikh Zayed areas of northern Gaza to evacuate westward toward Gaza City. The Israeli military announced plans to carry out strikes in these areas, "In light of sniper fire and terrorist activities originating from the aforementioned area, we will conduct a strong attack targeting the area used for these terrorist operations," according to an Israeli Army statement. — افيخاي ادرعي (@AvichayAdraee) April 24, 2025 The announcement comes amid ongoing military operations, with previous instances where the Israeli army directed civilians to relocate to areas it had described as safe, only for those locations to later come under fire. Meanwhile, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported that hospitals had received 50 fatalities in the past 24 hours, including two bodies recovered from beneath the rubble, along with 152 injuries as a result of what it called the "ongoing Israeli aggression." The death toll in Gaza since the onset of hostilities on October 7, 2023, has risen to 51,355, with 117,248 people injured.

Israel under rocket fire: Hamas claims attack
Shafaq News/ Rocket sirens sounded across multiple cities in southern Israel on Sunday, including Ashdod, Ashkelon, and the outskirts of Tel Aviv, amid a fresh round of rocket fire from the Gaza Strip, Israeli and Palestinian sources said. The Israeli military confirmed that approximately 10 rockets were launched from Gaza toward the Lachish region and other southern areas. Most of the projectiles were intercepted by Israel's air defense systems, while assessments are ongoing, the army added. #عاجل متابعة للانذارات في تمام الساعة 21:01-21:02 فقد تم رصد اطلاق نحو عشر قذائف صاروخية من قطاع غزة ليتم اعتراض معظمها. التفاصيل قيد الفحص — افيخاي ادرعي (@AvichayAdraee) April 6, 2025 Israel's emergency services reported injuries at several sites where rocket fragments landed, including light wounds sustained by civilians en route to shelters. Ashkelon's municipality confirmed property damage and at least one person injured. The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that it was in retaliation for recent Israeli military operations in Gaza, which they described as 'massacres against civilians.' Israeli media reported rocket impacts in Ashdod and Ashkelon, with Channel 13 and Israel Hayom citing three individuals wounded in Ashkelon and transported to hospital. Sirens were also activated in Yavne and other areas south of Tel Aviv. The escalation comes as the Gaza war, now entering its 18th month, continues with no clear end in sight. 50,695 Palestinians were killed and 115,338 others were injuried, with thousands still trapped under the rubble.

Second Eid day massacre: 11 killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza
Shafaq News/ On Monday, Israeli airstrikes and drone attacks killed at least 11 Palestinians and injured dozens across the Gaza Strip, as military operations extended into the second day of Eid al-Fitr. Strikes hit several areas, including Deir al-Balah, Jabalia, Khan Younis, Rafah, al-Bureij, al-Maghazi, az-Zawayda, and al-Mawasi. In eastern Jabalia, a drone strike killed two civilians, while three others were killed east of al-Musaddar, Arab media outlets affirmed. In al-Maghazi, three farmers died in a drone attack, but ongoing shelling has reportedly obstructed recovery efforts. A tent sheltering displaced civilians in al-Mawasi was also struck, and a child was injured in a drone strike on an UNRWA school in al-Bureij. Since resuming operations 12 days ago in Gaza, Israeli airstrikes have killed more than 900 Palestinians, bringing the total death toll to 50,280, with around 114,100 wounded, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. These attacks followed an evacuation order from the Israeli army, which instructed residents in Rafah, Nassr, and ash-Shawka to move to designated shelters in al-Mawasi ahead of what it called 'intensified combat operations.' — افيخاي ادرعي (@AvichayAdraee) March 31, 2025 Meanwhile, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society recovered the bodies of 15 emergency workers killed near Rafah a week ago. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) condemned the incident as 'a violation of international humanitarian law.' Access to the area was only granted five days after the incident, the office confirmed. OCHA's Jonathan Whittall stated that Israeli forces opened fire on civilians attempting to retrieve bodies. 'We witnessed a woman shot in the back of the head. When a young man tried to retrieve her, he too was shot,' he said, adding that UN staff used a marked vehicle to recover the body. 4/6 While traveling to the area on the fifth day we encountered hundreds of civilians fleeing under gunfire. Israeli strikes target southern Lebanon, casualties reported
Shafaq News/ Israel launched a fresh wave of airstrikes on southern Lebanon on Sunday, marking the fifth round of attacks within 24 hours as cross-border tensions escalate. According to local sources, three Apache helicopter raids targeted three prefabricated houses in Kefarkla – one near the Fatima Gate and two in the town center – while another helicopter simultaneously dropped four sound bombs. No casualties were reported so far. Hours before, the Israeli Army targeted civilian houses in Ainata with the Ministry of Public Health confirming that two people were killed. Another attack hit Yaroun village. In the morning, an Israeli drone struck Meiss El Jabal, southern Lebanon, killed one person, while another airstrike in Yater reportedly killed one and injured another, Lebanese officials stated. Israel's military radio quoted the Defense Minister as saying, 'We will not allow gunfire from Lebanon and will respond forcefully to any breach of the ceasefire. I have issued orders to the army to respond to gunfire from Lebanon on a car in Avivim.' Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated on X that 'an unoccupied car parked in the Avivim area near the Lebanese border was fired upon, although no injuries were reported.' He added that 'the incident, which appears to involve gunfire from within Lebanon, prompted the Israel Defense Forces to conduct sweeps in the area,' noting that 'firing from Lebanon toward Israeli territory violates the understandings between the two countries.' — افيخاي ادرعي (@AvichayAdraee) March 16, 2025 Since the ceasefire took effect on November 27, 2024, Israeli forces have violated its terms over 1,500 times through airstrikes, artillery shelling, overflights, and machine gun fire. Although the war ended nearly four months ago, Israel continues to occupy five strategic hills with no declared timetable for withdrawal.
