Ministry bans blue crab fishing during March every year
The Ministry of Municipality announced on 30 July 2025 that His Excellency the Minister of Municipality has issued a decision banning the fishing of blue crabs in the month of March every year.

The ban on fishing applies year-round to pregnant female blue crabs carrying eggs.
The bans are to preserve the balance of the ecosystem and the sustainability of marine resources.
