Published May 13th, 2025 - 05:55 GMT ALBAWABA - Heavy clashes erupted on Monday night between Libyan rival armed groups in Tripoli, triggering a security crisis and leading to the death of Libyan militia leader Abdel Ghani al-Kikli killed in Tripoli clashes. Libyan authorities confirmed the death of Abdel Ghani al-Kikli, commonly known as 'Gheniwa', who was the head of the powerful Stability Support Authority (SSA) militia. He was killed inside the headquarters of the 444th Combat Brigade, affiliated with the Tripoli Military Region, after it was exposed to gunfire. Social media sites have circulated videos and footage purporting to show the assassination of Al-Kikli and his companions.
