Whoops! Apple just accidentally leaked 10 new products — here's everything that's coming

A massive new leak in Apple's own software code has reportedly revealed several unannounced hardware devices. In total, 10 new products were found by MacRumors — that's a lot of Apple news to drop in a single day. This includes a new HomePod mini, a new Apple TV, new iPad, new Vision Pro and three new Apple Watches. In fact, that's probably more than Apple will even announce at its iPhone 17 event, which is rapidly approaching. These devices may be available further down the road, so you may need to be patient for some of them. Here are all the devices that have been leaked, along with the information we have about them (for some, the details are very limited). We've heard rumors of a new HomePod mini for some time, and the big Apple leak seemingly confirms that the company is working on one. The code leak references a device with a chip that uses T8310 microarchitecture, the same used in Apple Watch devices. While we don't know the exact model — it could be the S9, S10, or S11 based on all of those using the same technology — we can safely assume it'll be an upgraded version of the S5 chip found in the current HomePod mini, which is getting a bit old now. It's about time for Apple to release an updated Apple TV device, and it appears that it will happen in the relatively near future. Based on the leak's claim that the new device will use an A17 Pro chip, it could represent a significant power boost from the previous generation — the current model features a reasonably powerful A15 Bionic chip. Unfortunately, that's about all we know about this new Apple TV device. Form factor and other performance elements weren't revealed in this leak, but if the device is coming soon, I'm sure additional news will follow. The original Studio Display was released in 2022, so it's time for Apple to introduce a new one. A Studio Display 2 with the codename J427 was spotted in this giant leak, indicating that the monitor is likely part of Apple's plans. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Unfortunately, we have more questions than answers regarding what the monitor will offer, but we're excited to see it next year, as the prevailing rumors suggest it'll launch in early 2026. The iPad mini is Apple's most portable tablet option, making it ideal for a specific subset of buyers. It appears that a new one is on the way, and it features the A19 Pro chip that Apple plans to use in the iPhone 17 Pro models. That means the small tablet should offer stellar speed and performance compared to its predecessor with the A17 Pro chip. The base iPad is one of the best choices for many tablet buyers who don't need the most powerful devices on the market. The 12th-generation entry-level iPad is expected to utilize the A18 chip, according to MacRumors' findings. That would be Apple skipping the A17, as the 11th-generation iPad already features the A16. There have been conflicting reports about whether Apple was giving up on the Vision Pro or making a new one. This code leak seemingly confirms the company is, in fact, working on a new model and that it will have the powerful M5 chip. Other rumors have suggested minimal hardware changes and improvements, but a new chip could be enough to incentivize others to hop on the bandwagon. This should come as no surprise, but new Apple Watches are reportedly on the way — three, according to this leak. There should be an Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch SE 3 at Apple's upcoming event. The code also mentions an Ultra 4 and Apple Watch Series 12, but those are further down the road. A new S11 chip is on the way, although the leak suggests that it won't offer significant performance gains compared to the S10, as it's the same underlying technology as the S10. Still, we're excited to see some new Apple Watch models on the way. Follow Tom's Guide on Google News to get our up-to-date news, how-tos, and reviews in your feeds. New Apple TV 4K biggest upgrades just leaked ahead of launch

A new report suggests that Apple's refreshed set-top box could be kitted with the A17 Pro chip, which was used in the iPhone 15 Pro, allowing it major gains in performance. As reported by MacRumors, the updated processor should give this fourth generation Apple TV 4K as much as a 15% to 30% boost in both CPU and GPU workloads. Aside from that, the A17 Pro processor also supports Apple Intelligence, which could be a major game-changer for the new Apple TV 4K. The current third generation hardware, released in 2022, still uses the A15 bionic chip, and neither its RAM capacity nor its underlying software infrastructure allows it any compatibility with Apple Intelligence. But, it's still unclear what Apple even wants to do with its AI. Specifically, when it comes to set-top boxes and Apple TV Plus. Rumors have been circulating for months on the potential launch of a refreshed Apple TV 4K, which would make sense, seeing as we haven't seen a new model in nearly three years. Still, it's not quite like the third generation Apple TV 4K is showing its age, but several improvements would definitely be fitting. A major upgrade being tossed around for the new set-top box is a new processor in the A17 Pro chip, which was first made available on the iPhone 15 Pro. MacRumors claims it saw code references that point to the A17 Pro, allowing the streaming device 15%-30% improvements in benchmarked CPU and GPU performance. Other huge advancements purportedly arriving on the new streaming device include an Apple-designed Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip, which is being referred to internally as "Proxima." It's suggested this chip will support Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E, or even Wi-Fi 7 as some other insiders theorize. If these upgrades already wouldn't shoot it to the top of the best streaming devices list, the potential inclusion of Apple Intelligence on-device most certainly would. This has been a long-sought-after upgrade for several Apple products, but its debut on the fourth generation Apple TV 4K could be a major game-changer. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. But the most important question still remains: what exactly would Apple Intelligence be good for on this new set-top box? Apple still doesn't quite have a plan for its AI just yet, at least in terms of its use case on something like the Apple TV 4K. The potential is definitely staggering, especially when you look at both Google Gemini and Amazon Alexa Plus and what they both bring to the table for navigation, search, and recommendations. Even Gemini's AI wallpaper generation is pretty fun to play with. As for Apple, though, mum's still the word. Even when it comes to more basic implementations, Apple has yet to really voice what Apple Intelligence could be good for aside from summarizing notifications, translations, and more general writing advancements. Apple's Visual Intelligence definitely wouldn't translate at all to the Apple TV 4K, unless it worked in a way that read what's on the screen for certain information, like shopping for the sunglasses Brad Pitt is wearing in F1 or giving you location data on where a particular shot takes place. That would actually be pretty nifty, but it's hard to say if that's what Apple is going for with Apple Intelligence on its new set-top box. Apple is also working on completely overhauling Siri for new underlying features, as well. That could also prove pretty remarkable if implemented on the device, but this new version of Siri is slated for debut in 2026. However, Apple's AI functionality takes shape on the new streaming box, it is clear that a refresh for the Apple TV 4K is sorely needed. We won't know if these rumors prove accurate until early September, when Apple shows off all its new products, including the Apple iPhone 17. This chip made its debut in the iPhone 15 Pro series. According to rumours, Apple could target a spring 2026 launch for the OLED version, but other sources claim the switch might not happen until 2027. Until then, the iPad mini is likely to retain its Liquid Retina this leaves us with two possibilities: the 2026 iPad mini could launch with the A19 Pro chip and keep the LCD until the OLED refresh the following year, or Apple could bring both major upgrades together in one release. What Apple actually brings to the table, only time will the leaked code also reportedly points to Apple's work on an updated entry-level iPad (codenamed J581/J582) powered by the upcoming A18 chip, which could arrive as early as next last refreshed the iPad mini in 2024.
