Woman who died for two minutes says she saw our ‘true home'
Hiyah Zaidi Published July 30, 2025 10:09am Link is copied Comments No one really knows what happens when we die. Some say we see a white light, others – pure nothingness. But Nicole Meeuws says she saw something different when she flatlined for two minutes, claiming she experienced 'the original home from which we all come from'. So, what did she see? (Picture: Nicole Meeuws/Facebook) When the 49-year-old artist from Greece underwent emergency surgery having sadly lost her baby, she says her body gave out. Nicole told Need To Know she felt herself pulled into a tunnel of light, something like a corridor that moved with her. She claims the air had weight and temperature, and sounded like music made of water – fluid, pulsing, and familiar (Picture: Nicole Meeuws/Facebook) But that wasn't all. Nicole said that she entered a glowing space filled with silver, soft violet, and deep, radiant blue. Everything around her pulsed gently like a heartbeat, and that's when she saw two blue-skinned beings with large indigo eyes, like those in the film Avatar, sitting on thrones that shimmered with energy (Picture: Nicole Meeuws/Facebook) She said: 'Their eyes were large and indigo, filled with kindness and recognition. They looked human, but had gentle gills on their cheeks. I remember seeing their fish-like tails, rather than legs, covered in scales. They were both male and female intertwined and didn't speak in words – but I understood everything they had to tell me' (Picture: Nicole Meeuws/Facebook) Nicole said they made her feel at home and told her, telepathically, that life is actually an illusion and we only start living when we die. She said: 'I felt more known than I had ever felt in my life; I didn't want to leave. I understood this place, this feeling, and I truly believe it was the original home from which we all come from. I learned that death is not an end, it's a return to our actual lives' (Picture: Nicole Meeuws/Facebook) Nicole believes that she wasn't meant to have children and her gift was to bring this memory of the other side back to Earth and help others. After a few minutes, but what she says felt like a lifetime, she was 'zapped' back into her physical body. Her husband, a specialist doctor, was with her but at first she could not speak – only emit a high-pitched, unfamiliar sound she compared to dolphin clicks, which she said was coming through her, describing it as overwhelming and completely beyond her control (Picture: Nicole Meeuws/Facebook) Now, she says she often has visions of the blue beings who greeted her on the other side, and believes they are from the Apkallu interdimensional tribe, which are non-alien creatures, also know as Demigods, that are said to have given civilisation to mankind. Nicole says they gave her a mission to spread the message that love is stronger than death. She said: 'Love will always win; it's where we came from. We're all one big family, regardless of boundaries, cultures, religion and politics. Everything that exists came from the same spark. The more we hold onto fear, hate and lies, the easier it is to control humanity. To create heaven on Earth, we must spend each day spreading love. I'm no longer afraid of death because I know what's waiting for me on the other side. It was a beginning, not an end' (Picture: Nicole Meeuws/Facebook) Your free newsletter guide to the best London has on offer, from drinks deals to restaurant reviews.

James Cameron Plans for a Brand New "Avatar" Spin-Off
Yara Sameh James Cameron is planning to expand his blockbuster 'Avatar' franchise. In an interview with Empire magazine, Cameron, the writer, director and creator of the Avatar films, unveiled his plans for that world, which included him saying that he told Disney he wants to make more Avatar stories using animation. 'I said, 'Look, I want to do an animated anthology series that's essentially in the world but stories that you wouldn't have expected from that world',' the Titanic director recalled. 'There might even be an animated feature in there — it might be a feature for streaming, or a theatrical feature.' Cameron went on to note that 'great examples' for his idea include The Animatrix, because 'they went afield in the Matrix world.' However, the Oscar winner explained how his ideas for Avatar haven't left the drawing board. 'We haven't done much with that yet. We're still gathering our stories and that sort of thing,' he said. 'I've got to find the boutique filmmakers, the animators, that want to do it.' Cameron's third Avatar film, "Avatar: Fire and Ash", is set to release in theaters on December 19, and the first trailer for it dropped on Monday, is already receiving rave reviews and being called 'some of the most beautiful footage I've seen all year.' Also on the horizon for Cameron is an unknown 3D project he's working on with Billie Eilish that was announced earlier this month. 'So you may have noticed that there are more cameras than usual in here. Basically, I can't say much about it, but what I can say is that I'm working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron, and it's going to be in 3D,' the singer told the crowd at night one of her Manchester shows. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results

Steven Yeun's 'The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender' Role Revealed To Be 'Avatar' Fan-Favourite
17 years have passed since Avatar: The Last Airbender wrapped up Aang's journey, but it continues to enjoy an enduring legacy. The beloved world created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko is set for a return under their Avatar Studios banner, starting with a trilogy of animated films. Hot on the heels of a first look at the upcoming Avatar: Seven Havens , the sequel to 2012's The Legend of Korra , the duo has revealed who Steven Yeun will be playing in The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender . Previously cast in an undisclosed role, The Walking Dead star is now revealed to be the voice of a persistent fan-favourite: Zuko, the Crown Prince of the Fire Nation, portrayed by Dante Basco in the original series. 'Steven Yeun was Avatar Wan,' Konietzko told IGN during San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2025. 'He played the first Avatar in The Legend of Korra . We loved working with him and we're excited to have him back in the universe.' Yuen lent his voice to Wan in the first three episodes of the sequel, but neither Konietzko nor DiMartino have confirmed if he will also reprise the role in The Legend of Aang . While plot details remain under wraps, the project is expected to feature an adult Avatar Aang and his friends set between The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra . The Invincible actor is joined by an ensemble cast that includes Dave Bautista (a mysterious antagonist), Eric Nam (Aang), Dionne Quan (Toph), Jessica Matten (Katara), and Román Zaragoza (Sokka). It will hit the silver screen on 9 October 2026, and is the first of three films planned to take place in that universe. The original show ran from 2005 to 2008, following Aang on his quest to master all four elements — water, earth, fire, and air — to fulfil his destiny as the Avatar and bring peace to the world by defeating the Fire Lord, the ruling supreme of the Fire Nation. Since its finale, the series continued for four seasons with The Legend of Korra , receiving a string of comic books, prequel novels, and two live-action adaptations: M. Night Shyamalan's widely-panned film, and an 8-episode outing on Netflix. As for Avatar: Seven Havens , due out in 2027, the forthcoming threequel is centred on two long-lost Earthbending twins as one of them discovers that she's the newest Avatar, a being who can uniquely manipulate or 'bend' the four elements: air, water, earth, and fire.
