Radiant Wellness Conclave 2025: Rooted in reflection

At a time when attention spans are shrinking and lifestyles have become increasingly fragmented, the Radiant Wellness Conclave 2025 returns to remind us of wellness that goes beyond trends. Set to take place on August 9 at Taj Coromandel, the event open to all for free, marks the 10th anniversary of the Radiant Wellness initiative and the eighth edition of a Conclave that has steadily grown into a platform for purpose-driven conversations. Curated by Dr Renuka David, the 2025 Conclave theme is '9 Dimensions of Wellness in an Era of Disruption', drawing attention to holistic well-being across physical, emotional, financial, environmental, and societal dimensions. 'One day at a time, one conclave at a time,' says Dr Renuka, reflecting on the decade gone by, where they have focused on a list of topics from preventive healthcare and cardiovascular diseases to fitness and work-life balance. These topics were important to talk about at that point in time. 'But today,' she explains, 'when we see ten years gone by, the spark with which we started seems subtle. It [the conclave] has gone to such a huge platform. Thought leaders have come together to share their views, and anyone coming in with curiosity has always got their answers here.'

100 Investment Meet projects have reached work stage: Minister P Rajeeve

Kochi, Aug 4 (UNI) A total of 100 projects, out of 429 yielded by Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS) held in February, are under way in different parts of the state, demonstrating the resounding success of the initiative, Minister for Industries, Law and Coir P Rajeeve said today. The Minister was addressing the Investors' Conclave convened here to ascertain the status of the proposals that came up at IKGS. Over 200 investors turned up for the meet. 'By the end of August, the number of the projects reaching the implementation stage will cross 100. This means 21 percent of realisation so far. This must be the biggest strike rate of any investment meet held in the country. We are trying to raise this to 50 percent soon,' the Minister said. Asking investors to come out with their views, suggestions and grievances, he said this conclave was meant to hear directly from the investors whether they are facing any hurdle in going ahead with their projects, so that the government could step in to address them. When as many as 20 investors pointed out some of the issues faced by them, the Minister assured that each of these issues would be addressed without any delay. The Minister said, if necessary, ministerial level meetings will be held to address issues involving different departments. He also made calls with the field officials to ascertain the status of some of the issues that came up at the meet from the dias itself. The investors present expressed satisfaction at the cooperation from officials of the industries department agencies like KSIDC, KINFRA and Directorate of Industries. APM Mohammed Hanish, Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce, presided over the meet, which was attended by KSIDC MD Mir Mohammed Ali; KINFRA MD Santhosh Koshy Thomas; KSIDC Executive Director R Harikrishnan and Industries Department Additional Director K S Kripakumar. Rahul alleges Jaitley threatened him on farm laws, BJP rubbishes charge

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday claimed that former finance minister Arun Jaitley had threatened him to not speak against the farm laws else he would face action, a charge rubbished by the BJP as 'fake news' and asked him to stick to facts instead. Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addresses the party's 'Annual Legal Conclave' in New Delhi on Saturday. (PTI) The Centre in June 2020 promulgated three ordinances related to agricultural reforms, which got President's assent in September. However, the Centre had to repeal the contentious farm laws in November 2021 following widespread protests by farmers. Rohan Jaitley, son of the former Union minister, also slammed Rahul over his remarks, asking the Congress leader to 'let the departed Rest in Peace'. Addressing Congress' annual legal conclave at the Vigyan Bhawan, Rahul said: 'I remember when I was fighting the farm laws — he's not here anymore, so I really shouldn't say it, but I will — Arun Jaitley ji was sent to me to threaten me.' Rahul went on to add: 'He said to me, 'If you carry on down this path, opposing the government and fighting us on the farm laws, we will have to take action against you. I looked at him in the face and said, I think you don't know or have an idea who you're talking to. Because, we are Congress people, and we're not cowards. We never bend; the superpower British couldn't bend us and who the hell are you?' The BJP hit back at Rahul, saying the farm laws were brought in 2020 while Jaitley passed away in 2019 and asked the Congress leader to stick to facts instead of rewriting timelines to 'suit narratives'. BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya wrote on X: 'Fake News Alert. Rahul Gandhi claims that Arun Jaitley approached him to water down his opposition to the 2020 farm laws. Let's set the record straight -- Arun Jaitley ji passed away on August, 24 2019. The draft Farm Bills were brought to the Union Cabinet on June 3, 2020. The laws were enacted in September 2020,' he said. 'To suggest Arun Jaitley ji approached him for anything at all is factually incorrect and misleading,' he said. No BJP leader threatened us: SAD leader Naresh Gujral Reacting to Rahul's statement, former MP and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Naresh Gujral said: 'The SAD was part of the NDA, and we left them on the issue of the farm laws. No BJP leader threatened us, forget about Arun Jaitley, who was a thorough gentleman. So when the leader of Opposition speaks like this, he only damages his own credibility. I would urge him to be more careful in the future.' 'I am truly shocked and very pained to hear about what Rahul has to say about my late dear and close friend Arun Jaitley ji. The whole world knows that he was a true democrat. Everybody knows he was a gentleman who would never use this kind of threat or this kind of dialogue. When Rahul says things like that, he only hurts his own credibility,' Gujral said.
