MG Cyberster to launch on July 25, produces over 500 bhp

JSW MG Motor India has announced that they will be launching the Cyberster electric sports car on July 25. Interested customers can book the electric vehicle through MG's newly launched MG SE lect website or by visiting any authorised MG dealership. First unveiled at the Auto Expo 2025, the MG Cyberster is an all-electric roadster that will be offered through the brand's premium retail channel, MG Select. It will be sold alongside the MG M9 electric MPV, which also made its debut at the same event. The cabin also features sport-style seats, a flat-bottom, multi-function steering wheel with integrated controls for audio and instrumentation, and a rotary dial for launch control. Paddle shifters are also present, enabling the driver to switch between different regenerative braking modes. The MG Cyberster will come with a soft top. Additional comfort features include an electric-folding roof, six-way power-adjustable heated seats with memory function, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system. The model also comes with Level-2 ADAS capabilities. The battery pack is positioned between the front and rear wheels, so it serves as a floorboard. It uses a 77 kWh battery pack paired with dual electric motors, delivering a combined output of 510 bhp and 725 Nm of torque. The carmaker claims it can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, making it the most powerful MG production vehicle to date. It offers a driving range of up to 510 km on a single charge. This variant delivers 295 bhp and is claimed to offer a slightly longer range of up to 519 km. JSW MG Motor India will reveal the prices of the Cyberster on July 25, 2025. The Cyberster is MG's first electric sports car and will be sold exclusively via the MG Select premium showrooms. MG started pre-reservations for the Cyberster electric roadster in will bring the top-spec Cyberster in India, featuring a 77kWh battery pack and dual electric motors, one on each axle, offering an all-wheel-drive (AWD) experience. The electric powertrain delivers an impressive 510bhp and 725Nm of peak torque, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 3.2 seconds. The EV claims a driving range of 580km on a single charge, based on the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC).advertisementFor the Indian market, the Cyberster will be offered in four colour options—red, grey, white, and yellow. In Europe, the model is available in six colours. Flanking it are two additional 7-inch displays on either side. The centre console, designed in a waterfall layout, houses a vertically mounted 7-inch touchscreen next to the gear selector. Just below this are the soft-top convertible roof vehicle uses touch-sensitive controls for its HVAC system, replacing conventional physical switches. Among the notable features are adaptive cruise control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and a 360-degree camera system. The Cyberster is also equipped with an extensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) including blind-spot detection, lane-keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and forward collision the outside, the Cyberster draws inspiration from the classic MG B Roadster, featuring the octagonal MG emblem, a long sculpted bonnet, and a sealed front end with an upward-curving air dam that gives the car a distinctive 'smiling' appearance. It holds the distinction of being India's first electric vehicle with scissor sporty two-seater rides on 20-inch alloy wheels as standard. At the rear, it features arrow-shaped LED tail-lamps on either side, linked by a horizontal LED light bar, while the lower section sports a bold black split diffuser for a more aggressive look. Targeted at buyers seeking a premium electric driving experience, the MG M9 will be sold exclusively through the company's select dealership network, MG Select. MG's upcoming electric sports car, the Cyberster, will also be retailed through this channel in the future. In the first phase, MG M9 will be available across 14 showrooms in 13 cities, with plans to gradually expand nationwide. Bookings for the M9 are now open with a token amount of Rs 1 lakh, and deliveries will begin from August 10, 2025. Powerful Electric Performance & Fast Charging The MG M9 features a powerful front-wheel-mounted electric motor producing 245 PS and 350 Nm of torque. It's equipped with a 90 kWh battery, offering a certified range of up to 548 km on a single charge. When using a 160 kW DC fast charger, the battery charges from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes, and reaches 100% in about 1 hour and 30 minutes. A standard 11 kW AC charger takes approximately 10 hours for a full charge. The exterior features sleek LED headlights, a bold front grille, and waterfall-style LED taillights. With 19-inch alloy wheels and self-sealing tyres, the car ensures a strong grip across all seasons. Its heated ORVMs (side mirrors) improve visibility during rain or fog. Luxury Interiors With 'Presidential' Rear Seats Inside, the MG M9 offers the feel of a luxury hotel. The rear seats, called 'Presidential Seats', come with 16-way adjustment, heating, cooling, and 8 massage modes. A dual sunroof and 64-colour ambient lighting elevate the cabin's appeal. The front seats are also generously equipped, offering 12-way adjustment for the driver and 8-way power adjustment for the passenger. Both seats include massage functions, a first in this segment. MG M9 is the latest big electric car in India: Key things to watch out for

MG M9 will be sold through the MG Select retail network. Notify me MG M9 is the next big electric car in the Indian passenger vehicle market. Through this same retail channel, MG will sell the Cyberster electric roadster as well. The MG M9 comes as a key competitor against rivals such as the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire. It is the brand's first people carrier. The carmaker is introducing it as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) product in the Indian market. The MG M9 electric MPV is the latest electric car from the automaker after models such as Comet EV, ZS EV, and Windsor EV. Unveiled in India at the Auto Expo 2025, the MG M9's booking has already commenced across India in May this year, at a token amount of ₹ 51,000. Now the carmaker is finally announcing the pricing of the M9 on July 21. Here are some key highlights of the MG M9. MG M9: Plenty of features The MG M9 gets a cabin that is loaded with a wide range of advanced technology-aided features. It gets a 12.23-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 7.0-inch fully digital driver's display, digital IRVM, cabin air filter, panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, 13-speaker JBL sound system, leather and suede upholstery, powered front and rear seats with heating, massage, ventilation, connected car tech, etc. Also, it gets Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) functionality. It gets a Level 2 ADAS suite, a 360-degree surround view camera, seven airbags, front and rear disc brakes, an electronic stability program (ESP), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), etc. MG M9: Powerful powertrain The MG M9 EV comes powered by a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery, promising a range of 500 km on a single charge. It has a front axle-mounted motor producing 245 bhp peak power and 350 Nm of maximum torque. The M9 is capable of running at a top speed of 180 kmph. The battery takes about 8.5 hours to be charged fully from five per cent to 100 per cent using an 11 kW charger. First MG Select Dealership Opens In Delhi

JSW MG Motor India has launched its first premium vehicle dealership called MG Select in Delhi. The first-ever MG Select Experience center in the national capital was inaugurated by Delhi Cabinet Minister Parvesh Verma. It is to be noted that this experience centre will deal in the premium models of the brand, like MG Cybertser and the M9 MPV. Based on the brand's statement, it takes cues from modern art exhibitions, the area showcases natural hues and endless white backdrops, positioning the vehicle as the focal point of the experience. The brand says that the car is displayed as a structural masterpiece. Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India, commented, "Luxury consumption in India has grown exponentially in the recent years, with MG SELECT we aim to further create a niche for the luxury car buyers by redefining and elevating the car ownership journey. Our vision of redefining the Indian luxury automotive landscape aligns with our dealer partners and together we will create newer benchmarks by offering technologically advanced products and exclusive experiences." Amit Garg, Dealer Principal, MG Select Delhi, added, "This centre transcends the traditional showroom experience to redefine automotive luxury for our discerning clientele in Delhi. As a component of its broader expansion strategy, JSW MG Motor India intends to launch 14 MG Select Experience Centres in 13 major cities throughout the country by the conclusion of Q3 2025, making the brand more accessible to luxury car customers nationwide. In February, the brand began accepting pre-bookings for the Cyberster electric roadster and the M9 electric MPV.
