Viral AI-generated kangaroo video sparks confusion and raises concerns over deepfake content

A viral video featuring a kangaroo holding a boarding pass and seemingly waiting to board a plane has captured widespread attention — but the clip is entirely AI-generated, sparking a mix of amusement and surprise among internet users. The original video was posted on Instagram by the account @infiniteunreality, which shares a variety of strange and entertaining AI-created content. Other examples from the account include a two-headed baby in a shopping cart, a dolphin sitting in an office chair watching TV, and the cast of Shrek in a hot tub with Donkey vomiting green slime. These unusual clips illustrate the kind of imaginative AI videos the account produces. As the kangaroo clip spread across social media platforms, many viewers believed it was real, praising its cuteness and humor. One user on X (formerly Twitter) commented on the kangaroo's 'little hands' holding the boarding pass as 'the cutest thing' they had seen. However, the truth was soon uncovered with the help of Grok, X's built-in AI search engine, which revealed that the video was a sophisticated AI creation rather than genuine footage. This revelation left many users shocked and amused, with some comparing their gullibility to that often attributed to older generations. Comments ranged from humorous self-deprecations about falling for the video to memes expressing disbelief and panic. Several users reflected on the rapid advancement of AI technology, noting concerns about how difficult it has become to distinguish AI-generated content from reality. One user observed, 'We've gotten to a point where people genuinely can't tell what is AI and what is not,' underscoring the growing challenge posed by deepfake and AI-generated media. Despite the initial confusion, the viral kangaroo video also served as a reminder of the evolving nature of digital content and the need for critical viewing skills in the age of artificial intelligence.

Possible Plot for Shrek 5 Describes a Reverse-ISEKAI Plot

DreamWorks had already dropped a first teaser for Shrek 5 , but we still don't know what kind of story to expect with the movie. Rumors have been going around that it would have something to do with Shrek and Donkey coming to the 'real world', and another rumor suggests that could be the case. According to @MyTimeToShineH, this could be the synopsis for Shrek 5 : 'Shrek's daughter (played by Zendaya) practices magic and accidentally transports Shrek and Donkey to the real world. And now they must find a way back because she doesn't know the spell to bring them home' Admittedly, MTTSH has had a lot of missteps in the past, but they did make the point that they did accurately scoop that Zendaya was up for the role of Shrek's daughter back in February. With the Shrek movies all going through the motions of Shrek's life from meeting his in-laws to becoming a parent, a lot of fans were sure that the story was going to involve Shrek clashing with his daughter about her wanting to get her own life and Shrek not ready to let go. I don't really know how a Shrek and Donkey adventure in the real world could have some relevant emotional arc for the characters, but I am willing to let DreamWorks cook. The Shrek franchise is probably one of their most popular, and if they're going to take it out of hibernation, they better have a great story. Shrek 5 is expected to come out in theaters on Dec. 23, 2026.

Visliuk fibre-optic tracked robot approved for use in Ukrainian Armed Forces

Ukraine's Ministry of Defence has approved and codified the use of the Ukrainian-made Visliuk (Donkey) ground robotic system in Ukrainian defence forces. Source: Ministry of Defence of Ukraine Details: The system is compact enough to fit inside a van or a trailer. It is equipped with two silent electric motors and metal tracks, which provide high cross-country capability on difficult terrain. "The system moves confidently off-road, through sand and mud. At the same time, the robot can transport up to 200 kilogrammes of payload. The traction force of the electric motors also enables evacuation functions. It is sufficient to pull out an SUV stuck in the mud," the ministry stated. The ministry added that Visliuk is manufactured in various configurations: for logistics, evacuation, mine-laying and installation of engineering barriers. It can also serve as a mobile platform for transporting communications relay towers, combat modules, or day and night surveillance systems. "It has jam-resistant control channels. This ground robotic system can optionally be equipped with a fibre-optic module," the ministry noted. The robotic systems are operable in all weather conditions. The battery capacity allows for several hours of continuous movement at maximum speed. Background: It was previously reported that Ukraine's Defence Procurement Agency had already ordered about 8,000 ground robotic systems in 2025. Support Ukrainska Pravda on Patreon!

I stayed in pod hotel where rooms cost £37 a night - but others think I'm crazy

When you think of Hawaii, you think of luxury beach resorts – but the U.S island is now branching out into budget pod hotels. Also known as capsule hotels, these cheap accommodations typically offer rooms with just enough space for a bed, and shared bathrooms. And First Cabin International – which already has 10 hotels in Japan – is now opening a branch in Hawaii in May, and taking reservations. So travellers from all over the world can afford to explore the island. As well as Japan, many countries are home to pod hotels, with the UK's first, St Christopher's at the Village, opening in London Bridge in 2018, with beds costing from £25 per night. But would you stay in one? In Copenhagen, the average price of a three-star hotel is £181 per night, according to Skyscanner. But Chelsea Dickinson, aka @Cheapholidayexpert, stayed at pod hotel CityHub in Denmark's capital for just £37 a night. @cheapholidayexpert £37 a night for COPENHAGEN?! 🇩🇰 Copenhagen isn't particularly known for being budget-friendly, but this futuristic pod hotel was how I managed to do a £100 trip to Copenhagen with This Morning - without having to share a room with anyone! ⬇️ THE DETAILS ⬇️ 🏨 CityHub Copenhagen 📲 @CityHub 📍 Copenhagen, Denmark 💰 I paid £37 a night for my pod! Bizarrely, it was £37 a night for a twin pod for single use and the double pod was a little bit more. HOWEVER, if you were sharing a twin or double was only £50 for double occupancy meaning it would only cost you £25 a night each - BARGAIN! 🎉 You would deffo need to know that person quite well though… 😆 ⬇️ MORE INFO ⬇️ 📍CityHub in Copenhagen is located in Vesterbro which is a really cool area full of cafes, restaurants, exhibits and concerts. 🚴 There's a bike hire shop a few doors down so a great way to get about - or hire a bike on the nearby streets using an app like Donkey. 💰 Like most hotels, prices do fluctuate but I've just seen a twin room for £38.50 on a Sunday night in a couple of weeks - so it wasn't just cheap pricing because I went in January! 🛌 There are CityHubs in Amsterdam and Rotterdam too! 📣 BUT LET ME KNOW… Would you stay in a pod hotel?! ♬ original sound - Cheap Holiday Expert She booked the twin room, which was two single beds pushed together, as opposed to the double room, as the latter cost £50 a night. In a TikTok video, showing her 173.6k followers around the room, Chelsea shows that her pod has its own Bluetooth speaker, as well as 'fancy lights' which you can put on to different settings. She also points out the room's shutters that you can close for privacy, as well as space for hangers, plus two robes and two large towels. Chelsea then takes her camera to the shared bathroom, which has 'loads of stalls, showers and spaces to get ready'. Amazingly, there is also a sauna, Rituals hand soap, 'and even a space to do your ironing'. In the communal areas, Chelsea points out a 'self-serving beer tap' and a kitchen which guests can use to cook their food if they want to keep the cost down. Or, like Chelsea, guests can pay extra for breakfast and will receive some tokens to use at a nearby café. On check out, guests are able to use lockers to keep their stuff in until they're ready to head on. Many of her followers aren't convinced, complaining the pods look 'claustrophobic' – and lack a view 'I absolutely love it! What more could you want?' Chelsea finishes. But many of her followers aren't convinced, complaining the pods look 'claustrophobic' – and lack a view. One says: ''What more do you need?' - a window would be nice.' Another adds: 'My claustrophobia would never let me.'
