Spice Girls star Mel B marries Rory McPhee in London
Spice Girls star Mel B, known to fans as "Scary Spice," has tied the knot with hairstylist Rory McPhee in a romantic ceremony held in London. The couple exchanged vows on Saturday at The Crypt of St. Paul's Cathedral, a historic venue beneath the iconic landmark. Mel B, whose full name is Melanie Brown, wore a custom ivory gown by designer Josephine Scott, featuring a pearl-adorned neckline. Caroline Black, owner of Evelie Bridal Boutiques in London, told People that Mel B was 'a dream to work with,' noting the singer brought her own style to the event. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds hosted a reception at the Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard, where Mel B changed into a second dress by designer Justin Alexander. The guest list included notable names such as model Cara Delevingne, comedian Katherine Ryan, and Daisy Lowe, daughter of musician Gavin Rossdale. Fellow Spice Girl Emma Bunton, known as 'Baby Spice,' was reportedly the only group member in attendance. Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Melanie C (Sporty Spice), and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) did not attend. Mel B's daughters—Phoenix, 26; Angel, 18; and Madison, 13—served as bridesmaids, making the celebration a deeply personal affair. The singer, 50, became engaged to McPhee, 37, in October 2022 after dating for three years. She shared details of the proposal on the UK show Celebrity Gogglebox, describing it as a romantic evening filled with rose petals and a log fire at Cliveden House. The couple reportedly met through Mel B's cousin, actor Christian Cooke, who is friends with McPhee. This marks Mel B's third marriage; her previous unions were with Jimmy Gulzar and Stephen Belafonte, the latter of whom she accused of abuse—allegations he has denied.

EXCLUSIVE The special meaning behind Mel B's wedding dress revealed as she shuns her trademark leopard print for traditional bridal gown
Mel B was the epitome of a beautiful, blushing bride for her wedding to Rory McPhee at St Paul's cathedral on Saturday. The Spice Girl, 50, is famed for her love of leopard print, but opted for a traditional bridal gown as she walked down the aisle for a third time. Mel's gorgeous gown was a bespoke design by Evelie Bridal Boutiques and featured a sheer illusion design adorned with white pearls and a ruched bodice, with the singer adding a flowing to her bridal look. Speaking to MailOnline about Mel's decision to go for the dress, Evelie Bridal Boutiques' owner Caroline Black revealed the singer wanted to embody 'strength, sensuality, and timeless glamour.' She added: 'From the moment Mel walked through the doors at Evelie, this journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Helping a real Spice Girl choose her wedding dress - what could possibly top that? But what's truly made this experience so meaningful is getting to know Mel as just Mel [not the icon, but the woman. It's been such an honour.' The Spice Girl, 50, is famed for her love of leopard print, but opted for a traditional bridal gown as she walked down the aisle for a third time (pictured in 1997) Designer Josephine Scott added: 'Designing this gown for Mel was about capturing her fearless spirit and softness all in one look. 'She's iconic, powerful, and radiant — and this dress had to be worthy of that. Every detail was chosen to honour her strength and sensuality, while celebrating the woman and the love story beneath the girl power.' While Mel opted for a traditional gown, as did groom Rory, who wore Scottish attire complete with a red and green tartan kilt. Emma Bunton, the only other Spice Girl in attendance - led the celebrity guests arriving for the wedding as Scary Spice prepared to walk down the aisle for the third time. While Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell and Melanie Chisholm were absent - Emma ensured she was there to support her friend. Also in attendance was Mel's sister Danielle Brown, Daisy Lowe, Katherine Ryan and Gaby Roslin - who were dressed to impress for the ceremony. Emma echoed her Baby Spice days as she donned a bay pink mini dress worn with platform heels and a matching fascinator. She was accompanied by husband Jade Jones and their son Beau, 17, with both men looking dapper as they joined Emma for the ceremony. Danielle looked radiant in a blue floral mini dress as she headed into the cathedral with her children Mimi, Hendrix and Myla. Gaby, 60, also looked incredible as she opted for a nude midi dress with a sheer overlay that she paired with a long pink coat. Earlier in the day, staff were seen organising the cathedral for the ceremony - which Mel has been given permission to wed in because she was awarded an MBE in 2022 for her services to charitable causes and vulnerable women. Giant bouquets of white flowers were seen being brought through the front doors ahead of the guests arriving. MailOnline understands that the nuptials will see Rory's brother Jordan act as best man, while pal James Steen will fill in as father of the bride in place of Mel's late father Martin Brown and walk her down the aisle. Mel's nieces will be flower girls.
