Samsung Galaxy S25 FE just tipped for a surprising Ultra-level upgrade

A new report has revealed that the next phone in Samsung's affordable FE series, the Galaxy S25 FE, might feature one advantage over the Galaxy S25. With Galaxy Unpacked having come and gone, you might think Samsung's big phone launches are done for the year. However, the Galaxy S25 FE is expected for release later this year, and while the FE series often features slightly worse hardware, a new report has indicated a substantial charging upgrade for the phone. According to a report from SammyGuru, device quality and safety testers TUV Rheinland have published a listing with the model number SM-S731, which is believed to refer to the Galaxy S25 FE. While the listing in question contains few hardware details, there is one thing of note: the apparent confirmation of 45W charging speeds for the phone. This would mean that the cheaper Galaxy S25 FE would match the charging speeds seen on the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25 Plus, and exceed the 25W seen in the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S24 FE. As we don't know the battery size of the phone, we can't state for certain how speedy a charge you'll get. However, when we tested the Galaxy S25 Ultra, with its 5,000 mAh battery, it managed to reach 71% battery after charging for 30 minutes with a 45W charger. As such, if this news is accurate, we'd imagine the S25 FE to charge impressively quickly too. Aside from the battery, we've heard a few rumors about the rest of the Galaxy S25 FE's hardware. For instance, we've seen reports that the phone will feature the same camera setup as the Galaxy S24 FE, meaning a 50MP main lens, supported by 12MP ultrawide and 8MP telephoto cameras. On the plus side, it appears that Samsung could update the selfie camera to 12MP, compared to the 10MP selfie camera on the current FE. We don't know much about the screen, but we'd expect the phone to at least have the same 6.7-inch display seen on the current S24 FE. There's also a lot of conflicting information when it comes to the chip coming with the phone. We've heard that Samsung could reuse the Exynos 2400e featured on the current phone. However, leaked benchmarks have shown the phone running the Exynos 2400, which would offer a marked performance increase, although it would still lag behind Samsung's other flagship devices and their Snapdragon 8 Elite silicon. Samsung released the Galaxy S24 FE in October last year. While we can't be certain Samsung will stick to the same date, it would seem fair to expect a Fall release date at least. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE costs Rs 20,000 less than Galaxy Z Flip 7, here is the full specs breakdown

Samsung's new foldables are finally here, and while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 might be the showstopper, don't sleep on the Flip series. This year, Samsung has done something different — and quite interesting — by introducing a Fan Edition version of its clamshell foldable. Say hello to the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. It's priced at a cool Rs 20,000 less than the regular Galaxy Z Flip 7, making it the most affordable Flip phone Samsung has launched. But don't be fooled by the FE tag — this is still a feature-packed foldable with enough under the hood to make it worth your attention. Let's break it and buildBoth the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE come with the same Gorilla Glass Victus 2 panels and a sturdy Armor Aluminum frame. So, in terms of durability, they're on equal footing. But if you look closely, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is the sleeker one here. It's thinner — 13.9mm folded versus 14.9mm on the FE — and has a slightly more polished feel. You'll also get flashier colours with the regular Galaxy Z Flip 7: Blue Shadow, Jetblack, Coralred, and Mint (Samsung website exclusive). The Flip 7 FE keeps it simple with black and Galaxy Z Flip 7 goes big on screens. Its 4.1-inch cover display stretches across the front and feels like a proper mini phone. It's responsive, fast at 120Hz, and very bright with 2,600 nits of peak brightness. Open it up, and you get a tall 6.9-inch AMOLED panel with the same high refresh rate and brightness — great for videos, scrolling, and split-screen use. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, by comparison, gets a smaller 3.4-inch cover screen with a standard 60Hz refresh rate and a lower peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The inner display is slightly smaller too, at 6.7 inches, but still offers 120Hz refresh and 2,600 nits. It's still a sharp, vibrant panel — just a bit scaled and softwarePowering the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is Samsung's own Exynos 2500 chip, paired with 12GB RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage. You also get Samsung DeX support, so you can plug in and get a PC-like experience on a monitor. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE gets the Exynos 2400, 8GB RAM and tops out at 256GB storage — still solid, but not as phones ship with One UI 8 based on Android 16, and you'll find the same suite of AI features on both, including Gemini Live and Now hardware is identical on both models: a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 10-megapixel selfie shooter inside. That said, the Galaxy Z Flip 7's newer chip should help with image processing, and its larger cover screen can be used for framing better selfies. So while photos will likely be close in quality, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may offer a slightly better shooting experience and chargingadvertisementHere's another small win for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 — it packs a 4,300mAh battery versus 4,000mAh on the FE. Samsung claims you'll get up to 31 hours of video playback on the Flip 7, and around 24 hours on the FE. Both phones support 25W wired and 15W wireless charging, which is decent enough for day-to-day upThe Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is clearly aimed at users who want the Flip experience without paying flagship money. Starting at Rs 89,999 for the 128GB model and Rs 95,999 for the 256GB version, it covers the basics well — same core camera hardware, similar software experience, and the same sturdy build. Yes, the screen's a bit smaller, performance is a notch lower, and there's no DeX, but for the price, it's a pretty good said, if you don't mind spending more, the regular Galaxy Z Flip 7 offers a better overall experience. You get a sleeker build, a more usable and responsive cover display, a more powerful Exynos 2500 chip, higher 12GB RAM, and support for Samsung DeX. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is priced at Rs 1,09,999 for the 256GB model and Rs 1,21,999 for the 512GB version. So for Rs 20,000 more, you're getting a more premium foldable experience.- Ends

Galaxy Z Fold 7: What to expect from Samsung's thinnest book-style foldable

Samsung's upcoming book-style foldable smartphone, the anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 7, is expected to be significantly slimmer than its predecessor. According to a report by 9To5Google, WSKEN—a company that makes screen protectors—has listed a new product for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 on e-commerce platform Amazon, along with a video that appears to showcase the smartphone's possible design. Samsung is set to unveil its next-generation foldables at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9. Alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the company is expected to introduce the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and possibly a Fan Edition (FE) flip-style foldable. Samsung has also hinted at the debut of a Galaxy Z Fold 'Ultra' model—bringing the Ultra branding, used for its Galaxy S-series flagship phones, to the foldable line. Additionally, there are reports suggesting a preview of the company's maiden tri-fold smartphone, possibly named 'Galaxy G Fold.' Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: What to expect As per the report, the video posted by WSKEN on Amazon shows the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in its folded state. The device appears to feature flat side rails and a boxier design, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, but with a significantly slimmer profile. The panels also seem to have slightly contoured edges, likely making the unfolding process more ergonomic. Samsung has already hinted that its upcoming foldables could be the slimmest and lightest in the series yet. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to measure between 3.9mm and 4.5mm when unfolded and weigh around 215g—approximately 24g lighter than the Z Fold 6. Beyond the slimmer design, the video suggests a wider cover display that could bring a more traditional smartphone look when folded. This aligns with earlier reports stating that the cover screen could grow to 6.5 inches (up from 6.3 inches), while the main folding display may expand to 8.2 inches. At the back, the phone is expected to retain a vertically aligned triple-camera layout on top of a raised camera module, similar to the current model. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 has also reportedly appeared on the European Product Registry for Energy Labelling (EPREL) platform, which revealed key specifications. According to The Verge, the listing suggests the device will offer 40 hours and 28 minutes of battery life on a single charge and carry an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance.
