French Open Day 13 Order Of Play: Djokovic takes on Sinner, Alcaraz faces Musetti test
After the scintillating women's semi-finals, it's time for the men to take centre stage at Roland Garros on Friday, June 6. Novak Djokovic will be going up against World No.1 Jannik Sinner while defending champion Carlos Alcaraz will face the in-form Lorenzo Musetti. All four men have been in sensational form at Roland Garros with Djokovic enjoying a sensational turnaround after four first-round exits in tournaments heading into the French Open. The Serbian eased past Mackenzie McDonald, Corentin Moutet, Filip Misolic, and Cameron Norrie, before meeting Alexander Zverev in the quarter-final, where he dropped one set. However, Djokovic bounced back to beat the German 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 in three hours and 17 has wins over Arthur Rinderknech, Richard Gasquet, Jiri Lehechka, Andrey Rublev, and Alexander Bublik and is yet to drop a set in the French Open this year. Djokovic and Sinner have faced each other 8 times, and have four wins apiece. However, the Italian has a 3-0 record in their last three meetings. Alcaraz will take on Musetti after playing his best tennis during the tournament in the quarter-final to dispatch Tommy Paul. Musetti's fine run saw him beat Frances Tiafoe in the last round and move up to the fifth spot in the live rankings. A win over Alcaraz will see him reach the fourth spot. Alcaraz and Musetti have faced each other six times, with the Spaniard dominating the head-to-head record 5-1. In their last two meetings this year, Alcaraz beat the Italian in the Monte-Carlo final and the Rome semis. advertisementApart from these two blockbuster matches, we will also have the men's doubles semi-final and the women's doubles semi-finals.
