Massive Samsung leak just revealed nearly all the specs for Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE right before Unpacked

Samsung is all but certain to announce its next set of foldable phones at the Galaxy Unpacked July 2022 event in less than two days. But even with the July 9 launch event looming, leaks about the new devices aren't stopping. In fact, a new rumor appears to reveal a number of core specs for the trio of Samsung foldables expected to arrive later this week — the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and a lower-cost flip phone reportedly called the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. Here are some specs, plus others we've seen rumored previously. Galaxy Z Fold 7 Galaxy Z Flip 7 Galaxy Flip 7 FE Storage 256GB, 512GB 256GB, 512GB 128GB, 256GB Battery 4,400 mAh 4,300 mAh 4,000 mAh Screen size Cover: 6.5 inchesUnfolded: 8-inches Cover: 4.1-inchesUnfolded: 6.9-inches Cover: 4.1-inchesUnfolded: 6.9-inches Refrresh rate/Brightness 120Hz, 2,600-nit peak N/A N/A Camera (main) 200 MP 50 MP 50 MP Camera (ultra, selfie) 12 MP, 10MP, 10MP x3 telephoto 12 MP, 12MP N/A Color Blue shadow, Jet black, Silver shadow Blue shadow, Jet black, silver shadow Black, white Galaxy AI Yes Yes Yes Chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite or Exynos 2500 Exynos 2400e or unnamed Qualcomm or MediaTek RAM 16GB 12GB 8GB Thickness 4.5mm unfolded8.9mm folded N/A 7.4mm The leak comes from WinFuture's Roland Quandt and appears to reveal storage, displays, batteries and other specs for the three phones. Quandt claims all the information comes from "official Samsung promo materials." All of this in the last couple of posts is from official Samsung promo materials Quandt's leaks don't provide pricing or full dimensions, but we expect the Galaxy Fold 7 to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor. The leak does quote a couple of marketing quotes saying the phone will be 8.9mm thin folded and "4.2mm when unfolded" while weighing 216 grams (7.6 oz). The current version, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, is 5.6mm thin when it's unfolded. It weighs 239 grams. So that's quite a substantial change for the new model. For furterher comparison, those measurements are the same as the Oppo Find N5, and 0.1mm thicker than the Honor Magic V5. The rumored 216 gram weight would make the Galaxy Z Fold 7 one of the lighter foldables available. The N5, for example, comes in at 229 grams. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Beyond weight, the Z Fold 7 will supposed;ly feature bigger displays — namely, a 6.5-inch cover screen and an 8-inch main panel. It's supposed to deliver a similar 4,400 mAh battery as the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Other marketing quotes say the new Samsung foldable will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. It should come with 256GB or 512GB storage options. Only one camera is listed with a resolution of 200MP — presumably this is the main camera, which is rumored to be getting the same sensor Samsung uses for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Finally, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 should come in blue, black or silver, according to Quandt. Like the Z Fold 7, the clamshell Galaxy Z Flip 7 is in line to increase in size with a larger 4.1-inch cover display and 6.9-inch interior screen. (Previous rumors had claimed respective sizes of 4 inches and 6.85 inches for those two screens.) The cover display looks to wrap around the exterior camera lenses much like the Motorola Razr Ultra 2025. Despite also getting thinner, the Flip 7 is supposed to feature a bigger 4,300 mAh battery and the same colors and storage options as the Fold 7. The scaled-back Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE isn't likely to match the Flip 7's specs. It reportedly features 128GB and 256GB storage, plus a smaller 4,000 mAh battery. Surprisingly, it appears to have the same size cover and unfolded displays, which contradicts earlier reports that that it would be more similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 6. We'll know for sure how real this is on Wednesday (July 9) when Samsung officially debuts its foldables and wearables. Quandt also teased some marketing images for the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. He doesn't mention the Project Moohan headset or the rumored triple-fold Galaxy G Fold device, though both might make appearances at the event.

How to watch Samsung Galaxy Unpacked July 2025 online live — Galaxy Z Fold 7, Watch 8 Classic, Project Moohan and more

The time has finally come to officially find out what Samsung has in store for all of its foldable phones and smartwatches. If you watch the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked July 2025 event online this Wednesday (July 9), you can find out exactly what Samsung has in store as each product is revealed. The main focus of Galaxy Unpacked Summer 2025 will most likely be Samsung's new foldable phones. Rumors about the phones have been percolating for so long that you may feel you've already seen the handsets already, but those are only renders. We're still waiting for the official word on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 — including answers to burning questions about those devices. But those two foldables may not be the only products Samsung shows off this week. Other devices might steal the thunder from the foldable lineup, including the return of the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic and potential glimpses of Project Moohan and the Galaxy G Fold. Samsung is holding this year's edition of Galaxy Unpacked Summer in Brooklyn, New York, and Tom's Guide will be there in person to cover the event. If you can't make it there, Samsung is more than happy to bring the show to you with a live stream of Galaxy Unpacked. Here's what you need to know to watch it. Galaxy Unpacked takes place Wednesday, July 9, with a live event in Brooklyn, New York. Unpacked gets underway at 10:00 a.m. ET / 7 a.m. PT / 3 p.m. BST. Samsung plans to live stream Galaxy Unpacked, so you can watch the event from the company's YouTube channel. There you'll find the official live stream for Galaxy Unpacked, along with teaser videos hinting at some of the likely features. In addition to YouTube, Samsung says it will post a video of the event in its online newsroom. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Samsung generally holds two Galaxy Unpacked events every year — the one at the start of the year focuses on Galaxy S phones, with the January 2025 edition showing off the Galaxy S25 series. We also get a teaser of the Galaxy S25 Edge that launched later in the spring. Samsung's summer event gives us new foldable phones, and lately, it's been happening earlier in the year. Like last year's summer Unpacked, the one likely to show off the latest foldables is being held in early July. Here's a closer look at what's likely to be on the agenda for the July 9 Unpacked. Both of Samsung's current foldable phone lines are in line to see updates this summer. The more expensive model will be the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Current rumors point to a larger phone with a larger 8-inch interior unfolded display and a 6.5-inch cover screen. Other iterative potential upgrades include a the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a 200MP main camera and a redesigned S Pen. Samsung has spent 2025 promoting its optimized Galaxy AI features and we expect similar updates this year. There might be two models of clamshell foldables announced this year, the standard Galaxy Z Flip 7 and a more wallet-friendly Z Flip 7 FE. Like the Fold, the Z Flip 7 is expanding with a larger 6.85-inch display, though its unclear if it will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite or Samsung's own Exynos 2500 processor. As for the fan edition, there are rumors that it will cost 1 million Korean won (or about $737) — that's roughly $350 less than the Galaxy Z Flip 6. So far leaks have painted the picture of phone that looks much like the Galaxy Z Flip 6 with slightly better features including a better display and potentially some kind of Qualcomm or Exynos chip. Separate from the main two foldables, there are conflicting rumors that Samsung might at the very least preview the rumored Galaxy G Fold tri-folding phone at Galaxy Unpacked, similar to how the Galaxy S25 Edge popped at the end of the January's Unpacked event. Samsung has teased the concept phone that folds in three places, but it is allegedly moving from concept to reality. It is very likely that Samsung will bring at least three different Galaxy smartwatches during Galaxy Unpacked. Alongside the Galaxy Watch 8, we could see the return of the Galaxy Watch 8 classic, plus at the very least a new colorway for the Galaxy Watch Ultra. The newest Classic is rumored to be available in one size; 47mm, but should feature a rotating bezel, 1.5-display and a 435 mAH battery. The latest Ultra, labeled Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) by leaker Evan Blass, may only see a new navy blue color in lieu of new features added to a model that made its debut last year. As for the base Galaxy Watch 8, rumors point to a more squircle design and a new microLED display. The big health feature we may see is blood glucose monitoring, which would be a major addition to Samsung's other health monitoring features. Google revealed Android 16 far earlier than normal this year at Google I/O and Samsung should follow suit with its One UI 8 system. The One UI 8 beta has already been rolling out to the Galaxy S25 first through its beta program. We expect Samsung will highlight new features in One UI 8, though we don't yet know if it will be ready for the launch of the new foldables. First announced in late 2024, Samsung's Project Moohan XR headset has popped up at several events this year. Details have been slight beyond the Samsung and Qualcomm Android XR-powered headset should make another appearance at Galaxy Unpacked July 2025. One leaker has said that the headset will show up but that full details won't be revealed at the event. Whatever Samsung winds up announcing, you have the opportunity to save money. Rumors claim the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 will retain last year's prices, so they won't be cheap. As a result, any extra savings could come in handy. Samsung Galaxy Foldables Leak Ahead of Unpacked Event: Key Specifications and Variants Revealed

Just days before Samsung's much-anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, major specifications for three upcoming foldable smartphones have leaked online. According to German tech journalist Roland Quandt of WinFuture, promotional materials for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and a new Z Flip 7 FE have surfaced, revealing key hardware details ahead of the official launch. The biggest of the trio, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, is expected to be significantly thinner than its predecessors. Quandt cites official marketing language that claims the device will measure just 4.2mm when unfolded and 8.9mm when folded. That would place it among the slimmest foldables on the market—just 0.1mm thicker than Honor's Magic V5, and on par with Oppo's Find N5. Even more impressive is the weight: at 216 grams, the Fold 7 may be the lightest book-style foldable yet. Despite the slimmer body, Samsung isn't compromising on performance. The Fold 7 will sport larger displays—6.5 inches externally and 8 inches internally—alongside a 4,400mAh battery, matching its predecessor. It's expected to run on Qualcomm's high-end Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and will offer 256GB and 512GB storage options, though a 1TB model might be available in select regions. The only camera spec currently confirmed is a massive 200MP main sensor. Colour variants are likely to include blue, black, and silver. Next in line is the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which is also seeing significant upgrades. Most notably, it will feature a larger 4.1-inch external display that wraps around the dual camera lenses—mirroring the design of Motorola's Razr line. This detail aligns with renders and a leaked hands-on video that emerged recently. Under the hood, the Flip 7 will house a 4,300mAh battery—just shy of the Fold 7's—while maintaining a sleek profile. It will offer the same 256GB and 512GB storage options and colour choices, with a 50MP primary camera completing the hardware suite. Samsung is also set to debut a more affordable version: the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. Designed to bring foldable technology to a wider audience, this model will reportedly come with 128GB and 256GB storage options, as well as a slightly smaller 4,000mAh battery. It's expected to maintain the same screen sizes as the standard Flip 7, indicating it might also include the wrap-around cover display—though earlier reports had suggested a reused Flip 6 design. For now, it appears the FE variant will launch in black and white. In addition to these foldable smartphones, Quandt also revealed what appear to be official images of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic. These wearables seem to adopt a new "squircle" body shape, first seen in the Galaxy Watch Ultra. However, there's no word yet on the long-rumoured Samsung trifold phone. While it may be teased at the Unpacked event, a full reveal seems unlikely this week.

Galaxy Z Flip 7 looks drastically different than Flip 6 in leaked video

Galaxy Z Flip 7 | Image Credits - Mincu Andrei (@andrei_eclynoh) on X We have seen various Galaxy Z Flip 7 renders, and while those are always great to give you an idea about what an unreleased product will look like, nothing compares to images and videos of the real deal. For those who were itching for a look at the new and improved Flip 7 , a video has been posted video was uploaded on X by user @andrei_eclynoh and is no longer available. You can still watch it on YouTube, where it was reposted by Talks Daily Tech. This doesn't seem like a dummy unit, and we even get to see the phone in action. The biggest highlight this year is that the Flip 7 has a bigger outer screen, which wraps around the cameras, abandoning the folder-style cover display of its predecessor. Apparently, the size of the external display has increased from 3.4 inches to 4.1 far from the only change that will increase the Flip 7 's odds of beating the best foldable phones of 2025. The outer screen is also bigger, with rumors saying it has grown from 6.7 inches to 6.9 Flip 7 also looks thinner than the Flip 6. This aligns with rumors that said the phone would be 13.7 mm when folded, down from 14.9 mm. In the unfolded state, it will be 6.5 mm, so it will feel thinner in your hand compared to the 6.9 mm Flip being thinner, the phone will be slightly heavier, clocking in at 188 grams. This will make it 1 gram heavier than the Flip 6, which, of course, is negligible, but is a reminder that while the device may be thinner, it's not going to weigh less. This is understandable, though, considering the Flip 7 is not just going to be bigger, it's also going to house a bigger 4,300mAh battery. In contrast, the Flip 7 features a 4,000mAh cell. Moving on, the Flip 7 doesn't appear to have a crease, which has always been a problem with foldable phones . The crease is likely still there and may become more noticeable with use, but it's still a noticeable improvement over the Flip 6. Samsung was one of the most innovative companies in the early days of foldables, but somehow lost ground to Chinese rivals. This impacted its sales and served as a reminder that it can't keep running on its early success. That's perhaps why it has allegedly made noticeable changes to its upcoming everything is going to change, though. Apart from a bigger battery and the faster Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, other specs will reportedly remain customers will likely not mind, considering the outer display will be a lot more useful now. It will now be able to display more widgets, while the additional space will seemingly be used to show the date and time. The Fold 7 and Flip 7 will be officially revealed on July 9 and will reportedly go on sale on July 25. An early reservation will get you a $50 credit. Galaxy Unpacked July 2025: How to watch and what to expect

Samsung's summer Unpacked, where we're going to see the company's latest contenders for the best foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 , is now almost here. Leaks and rumors have long shown us what we can expect in quite a lot of detail, and now the time to find out what is true and what is not has almost come. Samsung's event is scheduled for July 9, in just a couple of days. Here's what you can expect to see during the 2025 summer Unpacked, and how to watch the livestream. The summer Unpacked will be held in New York City on July 9 as an in-person event. However, as usual, there will also be a livestream on Samsung's YouTube channel for people who cannot attend the live event. The stream is embedded above for your viewing convenience. The event is scheduled to start at 10 AM ET / 3 PM BST / 4 PM CET. A look at a dummy unit of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7. | Image credit – The Sinza The stars of the show will likely be the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 phones. There have been plenty of leaks for Samsung's upcoming foldables, so we know quite a lot about them year, we expect evolutionary updates rather than a revolution. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be the thinnest foldable Samsung has made so far. Reportedly, the phone may measure just 8.9mm when folded and just 4.2mm when unfolded. Also, we expect a bigger cover screen and foldable screens, as well as an upgraded 200MP main camera for the Fold. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will reportedly come with two big updates: a larger cover display (around 4 inches) and a larger battery - reportedly, 4,300 mAh. The Flip 7 is also said to be thinner, but the difference is expected to be less dramatic than the one between the Fold 7 and the Fold 6. And, reportedly, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may feature an Exynos chip - the Exynos 2500, instead of Qualcomm's variant. A 'more affordable' Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is also expected to be unveiled at the event. The Fan Edition version will reportedly have the same design as the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and may sport many of its components. Under the hood, it's said to be powered by the Exynos 2400. There are exciting rumors that Samsung may tease an upcoming tri- foldable phone at the event. We may not get a full announcement, but a teaser may appear at the event. The Unpacked announcement teased at a new addition to the Galaxy portfolio. There aren't a lot of things known about this triple-folding Galaxy. We expect a short mention or a brief teaser about it during the event, similar to a "One More Thing" moment. A dummy unit could also be shown, just like how Samsung teased the Galaxy S25 Edge. A full reveal of the tri-folding Galaxy may happen later in the year, possibly in the fall. Leaked renders of the Galaxy Watch 8 series. | Image Credit – SammyGuru and OnLeaks Samsung is also expected to introduce the Galaxy Watch 8 series during the event. Rumor has it that the announcement will also mark the return of the beloved Classic model with a physical rotating bezel. Last year, Samsung skipped this model and unveiled the Galaxy Watch Ultra with the Watch 7. But this year, reportedly, there will be a Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. Reportedly, it will sport the new 'squircle' design that Samsung introduced last year, and it may also come with an action button. We expect the Exynos W1000, which is the chip in the Watch 7 and Ultra, to power this year's smartwatch models as well. Expect more health and tracking features and new software tricks. Meanwhile, rumor has it there won't be a Watch Ultra sequel this time, and instead, Samsung is expected to launch new color options for the existing model. One UI 8. | Image Credit – Samsung Rumor has it that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 may come with One UI 8 (based on Android 16) out of the box. Speculatively, Samsung may start the rollout of the new OS around the Unpacked event to eligible devices. Right now, Galaxy S25 phones are testing the One UI 8 beta.
