Films And Shows That Awakened Viewers' Sexuality
We recently asked members of the BuzzFeed Community to tell us about the TV show, movie, or other piece of media they consider responsible for their sexual awakening. Some of the results really made me giggle. Here's what folks revealed: "The Hex Girls. Dusk, the angsty drummer, just did something for me." —monikap6 "Val Kilmer as Madmartigan in Willow. The hair, the declaration of love to Sorsha, holding Princess Elora Danan…Top shelf Daikini, that one." —luxahoy "Leah Remini on The King of Queens. She's still gorgeous, but in those early seasons, she was my first celebrity crush, and I realized what I wanted my wife to look like even when I was just a child. Now, that's still my type." —edgysealion411 "David Bowie in Labyrinth. I'm sure I really don't have to say much more than that." —padawanryan "The Bangles' video for 'Walk Like an Egyptian' was the first time I remember getting the tingle feeling. Susanna Hoffs' eyes and Debbi Peterson dancing with the tambourine. It still gets me!" —theplunger10 "Alan Rickman in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. And Alan Rickman in anything else. But that was the start." —pastelbutterfly37 "Possibly a bit weird, but Lola Bunny in Space Jam has to be up there. The eyes, the voice, the athleticism were —Anonymous "Catherine Zeta-Jones and Antonio Banderas in The Mask of Zorro. Especially when they spar in the stable and he slices off her clothes!" —Anonymous "Vanilla Ice, when he first came on the scene." —pepperopigeon "I must have been about 10 when I watched The Thorn Birds. I tried to watch it anytime it came on, just so I could watch Richard Chamberlain and Rachel Ward slow burn until they finally had sex. That was the only thing I cared about through the whole movie!" —ssstege11573 "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. Both the horse and Little Creek. But I think mostly Spirit and Rain's 'romance' really did it for me." —Anonymous "The Rocky Horror Picture Show exposed me to bisexuality AND introduced me to Tim Curry. Perfection!" —Anonymous "Walking past Le Senza in the mall (I'm Canadian) had me wanting to kiss girls, so I was then pretty confused when Don Juan DeMarco came out and got me wanting to kiss boys. Turns out, I'm bi!" —Anonymous "The Phantom of the Opera film." —Anonymous "I saw the movie Hellraiser at a slumber party when I was around 13, and DID NOT expect the wild sexual energy that this movie has. In retrospect, it's a pretty well-known fact that Hellraiser explores a lot of pain/pleasure dynamics, but at the time, I was just really confused about why this random horror movie was making me feel so many THINGS. Also, I had an immediate hard crush on both Pinhead AND Kirsty, so there's the added bonus of realizing I was bi." —mcrivellokhan "Jasmine and Aladdin kissing on the magic carpet." —Anonymous "I was watching Hackers with Angelina Jolie. She was so tough, cool, and sexy. I didn't even notice the guys in that movie. My fiancé commented on her beauty and then tried to pressure me into a threesome with another woman. I said I'd rather break up with him and just date a girl like Angelina. I still think about her in that film in ways I never think of my ex. That's when I knew I was not only bisexual, but also not into assholes." —Anonymous "Jacob Black from New Moon. To this day, I'm still Team Jacob. Those abs, man, SWOON!" —Anonymous "Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic." —Anonymous "It was an early TV show called T.H.E. Cat. The leading man was a handsome cat burglar and wore lots of black turtlenecks and black leather gloves and was always tying up bad guys. I wanted him to tie me up because it made me feel funny. I found out later that the leading man was Robert Loggia, who was the 'dancing boss' in Big." —Anonymous "Seeing Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully in The X-Files being a badass medical doctor and even more badass FBI agent when women in male fields weren't nearly as common. She was sassy, smart, and a bad bitch! She is also still one of the hottest women alive. Scully forever!" —Anonymous "Watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Season 3, with Eliza Dushku as Faith. I already knew I was straight and attracted to women, but seeing Faith kick ass in leather pants cemented the type of woman I'm interested in. And I am now married to one." —Anonymous "Jim from Treasure Planet. At the start of the movie, when he's flying on the hoverboard, something about the ponytail and ear piercing had me obsessed for years." —Anonymous "Elvira: Mistress of the Dark." —Anonymous "'Cecilia' by Simon & Garfunkel has a line, 'Making love in the afternoon with Cecelia up in my bedroom.' As a 12-year-old, I was shocked to learn that people had sex during the day. Everything I had been told up until then said it was a nighttime affair." —Anonymous "Star Trek: Voyager. Jeri Ryan joined the cast just before my 12th birthday. That was the first time I felt the stirrings of sexual attraction. No nudity, no sex scenes. Just a beautiful woman in a suggestively tight body suit. That was the first twinge." —Anonymous And: "Sting semi-naked in Dune. Lean but a little muscular guys are still my type!" —Anonymous What do you think is responsible for your sexual awakening? Was it a suggestive movie scene? A swoon-worthy TV character? Ozzy Osbourne was 'totally devoted' to wife Sharon and kids
Ozzy Osbourne was no ordinary man — especially to his wife and children. The world is in mourning after the Black Sabbath frontman died on Tuesday, July 23, with his loved ones confirming the news in a heartfelt statement. 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time,' his wife, daughters Amiee, 41, and Kelly, 40, and sons Jack, 39, and Louis, 50, whom Osbourne welcomed with his first wife, shared on Tuesday. While details surrounding Osbourne's death have not been revealed, Kelly shot down the idea that her parents had a 'suicide pact' — despite Sharon herself previously admitting to the agreement. 'My family has been so supportive,' he said at the time. 'I couldn't have done it without them. It's been really a bad scene.' The 'Mama, I'm Coming Home' singer also admitted that his final wish was to feel 'well enough' for one last live performance. 'That's what I'm working towards, and if I drop down dead at the end of it, I'll die a happy man,' Osbourne told Rolling Stone in 2023. 19 Sharon and Ozzy said 'I do' in 1982. 'My dear dear friend Ozzy has passed away only weeks after our show at Villa Park. 'It's just such heartbreaking news that I can't really find the words. There won't ever be another like him. A Hellraiser game is in development
Calling all gamers with a love of horror films: Hellraiser is getting a video game adaptation. Saber Interactive is turning the cult franchise into a game called Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival. Clive Baker's 1986 novella, The Hellbound Heart, served as the basis for the Hellraiser films. He also wrote and directed the first instalment, which premiered in 1987. Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival is a single-player game that has you play as Aidan while fighting your way through an "action survival horror experience." You also must deal with Pinhead, who's known for harvesting human souls — yeah, this is a creepy game. As Saber Interactive states, "The Hellraiser universe is defined by its unflinching exploration of pain, pleasure, and the thin and terrifying line that separates the two. That essence is at the heart of our game." You can see for yourself in the announcement trailer. To view this content, you'll need to update your privacy settings. Please click here and view the "Content and social-media partners" setting to do so. The team at Saber Interactive took an additional step to ensure fans of the movie franchise are happy. They spoke with Clive Barker, himself, to maintain an "authentic" storyline. There's no word yet on exactly when Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival will launch, but more announcements should come this year. It will be available on theXbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and the PC through Steam.

Clearly not too busy with the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake, Avatar game, and more, Space Marine 2 devs are teasing something new, and fans think it's a Hellraiser title
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. The developer of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is teasing an announcement for next week, and fans are convinced it has something to do with 80s film franchise Hellraiser. Saber Interactive is quite busy at the moment, with the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake, John Carpenter's Toxic Commando, Jurassic Park Survival and Space Marine 3 all in development at the studio right now. Now, it's released a teaser that some are taking as a hint at a game based on the Hellraiser franchise. Saber posts a tweet featuring a teaser video, which shows a CRT TV flashing images at a wall with a circle of candles around it while a mysterious voice speaks, all under a VHS filter. Alongside this is the teaser website / which features a similar filter over the game's reveal time of 1pm UTC (that's 2pm BST / 9am ET / 6am PT) on July 22, 2025. It's not taken fans long to speculate on what it's teasing. One user responds saying "it's Hellraiser!! You can hear Doug Bradley Pinhead speaking," while another responds to Saber CCO Tim Willits saying: "I heard chains, definitely Pinhead." When you look at that teaser website you do get a flash of an image, which features a sign that says 55. And when I – who admittedly knows nothing about Hellraiser – searched for a link between the films and the number 55, it turns out that 55 Hillcrest is the address of the Cotton family from the film, so that's definitely some compelling evidence that it could be Hellraiser. It's worth noting that Pinhead was featured in Dead By Daylight in 2021, but back in April of this year, he was removed from the in-game store. I don't know if I'm thinking too much into this but perhaps Saber's new game is its own asymmetric multiplayer game based on Hellraiser, just like the games based on Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday The 13th. Of course, there's a chance that all of this is coincidental and Saber's upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender game is going to some real weird places. Silent Hill creator is conscious of his age and wants to "pass the baton on to the next generation," but the horror icon's got at least one more game up his sleeve. Solve the daily Crossword

Hellraiser is being turned into a survival horror game
The developers at Boss Team Games have such sights to show you: the studio just announced that it's taking the terrifying world of the classic Hellraiser films and turning it into a survival horror game. The new title is called Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival, and somehow it's the first gaming adaptation of the franchise, which has been around since 1987. According to the studio, the game will blend 'survival horror with a single-player, story-driven action experience.' And, yes, there will be a dark and mysterious puzzle box. There are also some notable names on board. Doug Bradley, the original actor for Hellraiser's iconic villain Pinhead, will be reprising the role, and series creator Clive Barker is assisting with the game's story. In a statement, Barker said that 'I'm eager for both the curious and the damned to experience this new chapter in the Hellraiser mythos, where every moment balances on the brink of nightmare and revelation.' While this will be the first Hellraiser game, it's part of a growing trend of classic horror franchises being adapted for the medium. The likes of Friday the 13th and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre were turned into asymmetrical multiplayer games, as was The Evil Dead, which was developed by Boss Team. Single-player survival horror seems like a better fit for Hellraiser, however, though it's unclear yet when it might be available. Right now it's listed as simply 'in development.' It'll be available on the PC, PS5, and Xbox whenever it does launch.
