Unleashing a Legend: 2013 Camaro ZL1 Hennessey 750 Convertible Roars With Rare Power and Drop-Top Style

⚡️ Read the full article on Motorious A rare and barely driven 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible modified by renowned tuner Hennessey Performance is turning heads on the collector market with just 7,436 miles on the odometer—and a staggering 708 horsepower under the hood. Starting life as a factory ZL1 with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8, this Victory Red convertible was transformed into an HPE750 by the Texas-based performance powerhouse, Hennessey. The upgrade, which reportedly cost around $25,000, brought extensive modifications including a new camshaft, ported heads, custom pulleys, and an upgraded heat exchanger. The result is a dyno-verified output of 708 hp—up from the factory-rated 580 hp. Performance isn't the only standout. This Camaro wears aggressive styling cues, from carbon fiber hood vents to blacked-out trim, custom badging, and staggered 20-inch wheels wrapped in sticky rubber. The cabin complements the bold exterior with Alcantara-trimmed sport seats featuring red stitching and Hennessey embroidery, along with a touchscreen infotainment system and retro-inspired auxiliary gauges. Shifting duties are handled by a TR6060 six-speed manual transmission, sending power to a 3.73-geared limited-slip rear end. Beneath the surface, a strut tower brace, stainless headers, and upgraded exhaust system refine both handling and soundtrack. Braking is managed by Brembo-supplied power discs at all four corners. Originally built for straight-line muscle, this version shows that open-air performance and track-capable dynamics can coexist. Despite its ferocity, the car remains in near-showroom condition, making it a standout example of modern American muscle. With the ZL1 Hennessey 750 Convertible, Chevrolet and Hennessey prove that even in a world leaning toward electric performance, there's still plenty of thunder left in the old-school V8—and room for the wind in your hair while you're at it. Hennessey Reveals The Super Venom Mustang

Read the full story on Backfire News Texas tuning shop Hennessey has a reputation for pushing the envelope, and the newly revealed Super Venom Mustang follows that tradition faithfully. As the company says, this 'ultimate Hennessey Mustang' gives the best in power, aerodynamics, even looks for a vehicle which will impress many. Prominently featured on the car is a completely new, bespoke VenomAero kit made of carbon fiber. Not only do the components improve handling at speed, they're designed to enhance cooling. Among the additions is a duck bill integrated into the rear deck lid and a tall fixed rear wing, which might seem excessive to some. While the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 has been played with successfully by many, it's still impressive to see Hennessey has boosted the one for the Super Venom from 500-bhp to 850-bhp, a 70 percent increase in power. Torque has been dialed up 55 percent to 650 lb.-ft. at 4,900 rpm. According to Hennessey, the Super Venom can do 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds, blowing away the Dark Horse, which does it in 3.7 seconds. It's also a ten-second car, running the quarter mile in 10.9 seconds at 133 mph versus the Dark Horse logging 12 seconds at 118.4 mph. With those performance specs, the Super Venom should really move. But if you want one, you'll have to be similarly fast. Hennessey says it's only make 91 units total. That number wasn't just pulled out of thin air but instead represents the company's founding in 1991. If you want one, you have to order a Super Venom through an authorized Hennessey Ford dealer. We don't expect these to last long, even with GT models priced at $149,950 and Dark Horse models going for $163,950. Buyers can add one of three bespoke liveries to their Super Venom in black, silver, or red. Founder and CEO of Hennessey Performance, John Hennessey, expressed excitement about this latest model. 'Over the years we have only branded our most potent cars with our 'Venom' trademark: Venom Vipers, Venom GT and most recently our Venom F5. We are excited to unveil our SUPER VENOM Mustang as it offers supercar performance and can now be ordered directly from Ford dealers with a full warranty! Further, we are excited to commemorate our company's founding in 1991 by offering only 91 units and a unique '91 Icon' livery.' Images via Hennessey Performance

The Hennessy Super Venom Is a Limited-Edition Ford Mustang With 850 Horses Under the Hood

Hennessey Performance continues to push the seventh-generation Ford Mustang to new heights. The Texas-based tuner unveiled its latest take on the long-running muscle car, the Super Venom. The build is based on the current GT and Dark Horse variants and boosts output to a ridiculous degree to turn the vehicle into a race-ready burnout machine. More from Robb Report This All-Electric Chevy Blazer Prototype Is a 1,300 HP Ode to NASCAR This Rare 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 Was Completely Restored. Now It's up for Grabs. Even the Tesla Cybertruck Is Outselling the Ford F-150 Lightning Now As with all Hennessey builds the only place to start with the Super Venom Mustang is under the hood. The shop has taken the fourth-generation Coyote 5.0-liter V-8 found in both variants and added a high-performance supercharger, high-flow air induction system, upgraded fuel injectors and fuel pump, and a new engine management system. Those changes combine to bump output up to a ridiculous 850 hp and 650 ft lbs of torque. That's 350 hp and 418 ft lbs of torque more than the standard version of the Dark Horse, which works out to an increase of 70 percent (and slightly more in the case of the GT). Drivers won't have any problem feeling the boost in performance, either. Hennessey says the muscle car, which is available with either a 10-speed automatic or a six-speed manual, can rocket from zero to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and run the standing quarter mile in 10.9 seconds. Those are improvements of 0.5 seconds and 1.1 seconds, respectively. In addition to the upgraded powertrain, the Super Venom also wears a special '91 Icon Livery (Hennessey was founded in 1991), which is available in either black, red, or silver. The coupé has been outfitted in a carbon-fiber aero that includes a new front splitter, side skirts, and a rather prominent rear wing. There is also Hennessey badging on nearly every surface and 20-inch lightweight performance wheels. The interior, meanwhile, is available in either blue or black leather and Alcantara upholstery and features a 'tailor-made' dash plaque with the car's serial number and optional Recaro sports seats. Pricing for the Super Venom Mustang starts at $149,950 for the GT version and $163,950 for the Dark Horse. That represents a steep increase over the variant's $46,560 and $63,080 starting prices. If those numbers don't put you off, you'll want to reach out to Hennessey now about reserving your build slot. Is Hennessey Trying to Build Its Own Mustang GTD?

There's a new pony car rolling out of the Hennessey Performance facility in Texas. It's called the Super Venom Mustang, and the shop says it's meant to commemorative the company's 1991 founding. It's sold in super-low numbers, has gobs of horsepower, and boasts a track-focused carbon fiber aerodynamic package, too. All of which makes us wonder... is this Hennessey's version of the Nurburgring-smashing Ford Mustang GTD? On paper, it certainly sounds that way. The Super Venom makes 850 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, which Hennessey points out that those are boosts of 70 and 55 percent respectively over the stock Mustang Dark Horse the car is based on. It's worth noting that those numbers are slightly above and below the Mustang GTD's horsepower and torque, company achieves those figures mostly through forced induction. A supercharger sits atop the intake plenum and gets paired up with high-flow fuel injectors, a high-flow fuel pump, a high-flow air intake, and custom engine mapping to keep everything safe. (Notably, Hennessey doesn't mention any internal changes to the 5.0-liter V-8.) All of it enables the Super Venom to go from 0-60 mph in just 3.2 seconds, the shop says, and on through the quarter-mile in 10.9. Normally, Hennessey focuses primarily on straight-line performance, but in the Super Venom, it pulls out all the stops. This car boasts a ton of unique carbon fiber both outside and in. Some of it, such the fender louvers, mimic the design on the GTD — but they're fully functional, too. The cabin is full of unique touches, including a dash plaque, embossed backrests, and tons of Alcantara. "Over the years we have only branded our most potent cars with our 'Venom' trademark: Venom Vipers, Venom GT, and most recently our Venom F5," he said in a statement. "We are excited to unveil our Super Venom Mustang as it offers supercar performance and can now be ordered directly from Ford dealers with a full warranty! Further, we are excited to commemorate our company's founding in 1991 by offering only 91 units and a unique '91 Icon' livery.' Notably, each of those examples undercuts Mustang GTD pricing quite a bit. Those who want one will pay $163,950 to start, unless they opt to start with a a Mustang GT instead of a Dark Horse, in which case they'll spend $149,950. That's well beneath the $315,000 price tag of the 'Stang that lapped the 'Ring in under seven minutes.
