Jeremy Clarkson to front new ITV show Millionaire Hot Seat
Millionaire Hot Seat will see 18 episodes in a fast-paced version of the classic quiz show. It will be presented by former Top Gear star Clarkson, who has fronted the show since 2018 after replacing former host Chris Tarrant. Millionaire Hot Seat has aired in Australia since 2009 and had 15 high-rating series. What are the rules of Millionaire Hot Seat? The format of the show sees six players compete against the clock and one another as they answer questions in a bid to win big money. Contestants queue for the hot seat, where one person at a time will face Clarkson. They then have to answer questions on the Million Pound Money Ladder. In another twist, only the top prize left on the ladder can be won and the player taking on the question has to get it right to take it home. Katie Rawcliffe, director of entertainment & daytime commissioning at ITV, said: 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire has reached 18 million viewers on ITV so far this year alone. 'Commissioning a new spin off format to further capitalise on the brand's success and popularity was a no brainer, especially with Millionaire Hot Seat already doing so well in other territories also.' Coronation Street launches search for new dog to join ITV soap - but there's a catch
Coronation Street bosses are on the lookout for a dog to star on the soap and have launched a nationwide talent search called Pup Idol with Strictly's Shirley Ballas on board to help Coronation Street has launched a nationwide casting search for a dog with their new competition Pup Idol. But there's a catch, as the doggies keen to become the next big soap star must meet a list of requirements to be a contender. The ITV soap has decided to look for a new canine star to appear on the cobbles, and Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas is leading the search through a campaign with This Morning. The TV star called out to viewers in a recent episode of the ITV magazine show, where she reminded hopefuls that their pooch must be well-behaved and obedient to be within a chance of securing a role on the long-running soap. She said: "We'll be looking for the best little pup in Great Britain, so I'm very excited about that and would like to see that we have some obedience. Continuing to rhyme off the list of requirements, she added: "Good behaviour - we're looking for something with [a] really good temperament. [The dog will also have to be] loving, kind, caring, well groomed and not easily distracted on TV sets, and maybe some good little tricks would be nice." Shirley will be assisted in the search by veterinarian Dr Scott Miller and Jodie Prenger - who plays Rovers barmaid Glenda Shuttleworth - and the West End star referenced some of the furry friends of Weatherfield past. Jodie, who lives on a farm with her fiance Simon Motson and once helped Andrew Lloyd Webber look for a Toto to star in The Wizard of Oz, said: "From Schmeichel to David [and] Eccles, many paws have graced these famous cobbles and they've probably cocked their legs on a few lamp posts as well. "Your furry friend could be joining that illustrious list. I am so excited to be part of the judging panel that will be putting the pups through their paces to see who will win the walk-on part in the nation's longest-running soap. "So if you think your pooch should play the part, then what are you waiting for? And who knows, you could be watching your four-legged furry friend make their television debut," she told viewers live from the Corrie set. Applications for the search can be found here, and fans must enter by July 25 to be in with a chance of getting their four-legged friend on screen. The lucky canine will be one of several pets who have featured on the programme throughout its 65-year history. Some of the more recent canine residents of Weatherfield included Evelyn Plummer's greyhound Cerebus, and the Platt family dog David, whom David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) inherited from a salon client. Prior to that, Maria Connor ( Samia Longchambon) was gifted a Labrador by her husband Liam Connor shortly before he was killed in a hit-and-run accident. Perhaps two of the more famous dogs to have resided on the cobbles include Chesney Battersby Brown's (Sam Aston) Great Dane Schmeichel, and Border Terrier Eccles, who lived with the Barlows at number one for several years. Other pets to have been included on the cobbles over the years included Yasmeen's pet chicken Charlotte Bronte, and rat Darryl, who arrived along with Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) shortly after his debut in 2011. In the early days, original Street battle axe Ena Sharples (Violet Carson) received a budgie called Archie but passed it onto her friend Martha Longhurst (Lynne Carrol), and Vera Duckworth (Liz Dawn) took a cat called Cleo to the factory to catch the mice. In the 1990s, Rovers landlady Natalie Barnes ( Denise Welch) had a cat called Tiger, and David Platt famously had a rabbit called Barney. Jack Duckworth (Bill Tarmey) was known for keeping pigeons, and his surrogate son Tyrone Dobbs ( Alan Halsall) found a stray one that he named after Beyonce.

With her long blonde curly hair down to her waist, Princess can be seen posing with her hand on her hip at a luxurious-looking retreat. With a glowing tan and wearing a white two-piece bikini, the star looked every inch like her mum back in her early modelling days in 1995. The fashionista's blue eyes popped against the water backdrop as she pulled some stances in the string floral bikini, accessorising with simple jewellery, spa wristbands and long painted nails. The pictures are a stunning match to her mum's old modelling shots, with curly natural hair, minimal make-up and an au natural figure. Step mum Dr Emily Andre replied: "Omg that spa!! Mills and Theo had a chocolate facial there." The Sun previously revealed how Princess is set to be a millionaire now she's 18 after signing a huge deal with fashion brand PrettyLittleThing and moving into TV. The youngster, whose mum shot to fame as glamour girl Jordan at the same age, is getting her own ITV show. Princess, whose dad is singer Peter Andre, is already signed to the same agency as older brother, Junior. But she hopes the fly-on-the-wall series will help launch her catwalk career. Princess is the daughter of singer Peter and Katie, the latter of which has undergone countless procedures over the years including veneers, filler, Botox, BBL, facelifts and boob jobs. The 18-year-old influencer was forced to hit back at trolls recently who accused her of having lip filler. But Princess has insisted she will stay natural, but did not judge anyone for the choices they made for their own body. "I feel like everyone is entitled to do what they want to their body. But I personally don't look at [cosmetic surgery] and think: ''Oh, yeah, I want to do that'," she previously told The Sun. "I think it's important, especially for the younger generation on social media, to embrace natural beauty. My sisters are 10, and I want to set an example to them that they're amazing how they are." Katie previously confessed that her many operations had put Princess off having surgery on face. Speaking on Olivia Attwood 's So Wrong It's Right podcast previously, she said: "She won't have surgery, she's seen me go through it all, she knows she's pretty, that's the difference." Katie - who recently went to Turkey for another facelift - spoke about what her kids see when she's in recovery. She said: "I look f****** awful. It's awful but it's real. It's not just the before and after, it's the in between. The glamour model has 'lost count' of the times she's gone under the knife to enhance her looks and has recently had another face lift. Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters is TV without bite
Photo by ITV Plc / Plimsoll Productions Doubtless it won't have escaped your notice that this summer, Steven Spielberg's briny masterpiece Jaws is 50 years old. But how to mark such an important cultural anniversary? At ITV, commissioning editors quickly pulled on their (rubberised) thinking caps and after some seconds of contemplation the word 'celebrity' floated into their minds, like a dubious shoal of microplastics finally reaching shore. Yes! What if scaredy-cat famous people could be induced to swim with sharks, the better to prove that Spielberg, for all his brilliance with the camera, had done these creatures a grave disservice? No one would be voted off in this full-fathom show. Instead, all seven would return to Blighty as fully signed-up 'shark ambassadors', a role that, if nothing else, would surely help them with the apex predators who inhabit the stormy seas of show business. My guess is that persuading Lenny Henry and the others wasn't, in the end, too difficult. Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters isn't 24/7 jungle camping, and those human bottom feeders Nigel Farage and Nadine Dorries, are nowhere in sight (unless one of them is unaccountably lurking under that bit of bladderwrack over there). Handily, the Bahamas are the shark capital of the world, home to 40 species, and who would ever complain at the thought of a few days by an azure sea? A nice break, especially for Henry, who's also a brand ambassador for Premier Inn. Admittedly, there's a bad moment when our celebs are greeted by Paul de Gelder, one of the experts who'll be looking after them, only for him to reveal that his missing arm and leg were bitten off by a 10ft bull shark in Sydney Harbour; absorbing the sight of his prosthetic limbs, Lucy Punch adopts a rictus smile that's more than worthy of her influencer alter-ego in Amandaland. But never mind. Grab your sunscreen and chuck another calamari on the barbecue – the producers say everything's going to be fine. Punch's view of sharks is that they are 'savage tubes of teeth', a description that doesn't for me entirely distinguish them from some of their human counterparts. But like Countdown's Rachel Riley and McFly's bassist, Dougie Poynter (if any reality show is to be worth the name in 2025, it must have a member of McFly or of Busted among its participants), she's very game. Show her a wetsuit, a metal cage and a substantial shiver of bull sharks and – splash – she won't hesitate. Ditto the TV presenter and disability advocate Ade Adepitan and the comedian Ross Noble, both of whom are phlegmatic almost to the point of slicking themselves with tomato ketchup, the better some hungry fish might enjoy their dinner. Only Helen George (Call the Midwife) quails at the thought of the deep. She doesn't like to put her head under water, which sounds like a disqualification for a show like this, but in fact may be the reason she was recruited. Someone needs to go on a 'journey' after all. Amazingly, ITV has spun this out into five episodes, the last of which will apparently culminate in the celebrities swimming freestyle (ie minus a metal cage) with tiger sharks: quite a strange goal when you think about it, and I kept asking myself why. Sharks are important to the health of the seas. Many species are under threat. Conservation is vital. Bloody headlines apart, there are only about 70 shark attacks a year, involving five or six deaths. But none of this makes them cuddlesome. Leave them alone! Don't send Helen George into the water, shrieking about her feet. Don't expect them to put up with Lenny Henry's well-rehearsed jokes about how this whole experience is more real than 'panto in Lewisham'. When, in the first episode, a juvenile lemon shark nipped Ross Noble's leg, I felt a sense of utmost solidarity. Go, fish! Perhaps, like me, the poor thing had grown weary of the lines we were being thrown about gills and mangroves and ancient times (sharks predate the trees). Why pretend this stuff is even remotely educational? Steven Spielberg may well regret the negative impact his movie had on the feelings of an entire generation for sharks; speaking personally, my PTSD in this matter is ongoing, as anyone who has ever seen me swimming will testify. But he had absolutely everything else right. Let's cut to the action. Shark!
