The Kia K5 Just Got a Little Bit More Expensive for 2026
With affordable used cars disappearing and new car prices creeping ever higher, cost-conscious consumers are looking for cheaper options . The Kia K5 is one of those affordable cars, but buyers will have to pay a bit more for the 2026 model. Kia is increasing the sedan's price by $420 on every trim. The 2026 K5 will now start at $28,565 (all prices include the $1,175 destination charge). The range tops out with the EX, which now costs $36,065 to start, following a $5,000 price increase for 2025 . However, Kia coupled the added cost last year with a ton more standard kit, adding Bose stereo, a 10-way power driver's seat, a heated steering wheel, power folding mirrors, and more. Trim 2025 2026 Price Change K5 LXS FWD $28,145 $28,565 $420 K5 GT-Line FWD $29,145 $29,565 $420 K5 GT-Line AWD $30,745 $31,165 $420 K5 GT FWD $34,245 $34,665 $420 K5 EX FWD $35,645 $36,065 $420 2026 Kia K5 Changes The 2026 K5 largely carries over unchanged from 2025. There are five trims available, four of which are front-wheel drive. Kia offers the GT-Line with all-wheel drive for $31,165. However, there is a small tweak to the K5 lineup—the GT no longer features the GT logo on the brake calipers. Under the hood, the K5 GT continues to feature Kia's turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder, which produces 290 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. The rest of the lineup gets the naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder, making 191 hp and 181 lb-ft and paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The GT benefits from an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Kia K5 Sales Rebound The slight price increase shouldn't deter buyers looking for value. K5 sales have been strong so far this year , rebounding from 2024 and the launch of the 2025 refresh. The K5 is already on pace to surpass last year's sales, and it could beat 2023's as well. The automaker is on track to sell just under 70,000 K5s this year, which is still well under the 92,000 sold in 2021. Kia Sedans Outpacing SUVs In Sales Growth
View post: Walmart is selling an 'efficient' $350 car refrigerator for just $170, and shoppers say it's 'worth the money' Sedans are far from dead It's been a record-breaking first half of the year for Kia America. The company has reported total sales of 416,511 units for the first six months of 2025, up by 8% and the most vehicles the manufacturer has sold over this period. Retail sales were also up 12% year-on-year for the Korean marque. Two things stand out when looking more closely at the numbers. Firstly, four specific models from different segments saw their best-ever first-half sales. And secondly, Kia's sedan sales are growing at a much faster rate than SUVs, which is quite an achievement in these crossover-obsessed times. Huge Growth For K5 Sedan The four models with the best-ever first-half sales are the Carnival (up by a whopping 57% compared to the same period last year), K4 (+7%), Sportage (+9%), and Telluride (+15%). So far this year, Kia's most popular individual model is the Sportage, with sales of 87,172 units. It was followed by the K4/Forte (75,535), Telluride (61,502), and K5 (34,565). The Carnival minivan hit 33,152 units. Like Honda and Toyota, Kia is demonstrating continued support for sedans. The brand has 11 different models on sale in the United States, yet its two sedans both make the top five of its best-seller list. The mid-size K5's sales grew by an impressive 170%, one of the biggest increases for any model, and looking at all Kia sedans, sales are up by 29% year-on-year (compared to 9% for SUVs). Hybrid Sales Up, EVs Down 2026 EV9 GT — Source: Kia Reflecting a broader trend of hybrids gaining traction, Kia said its hybrid models surged by 70% year-over-year. The same can't be said for the brand's EVs; EV9 sales declined by a whopping 49%, while EV6 sales dropped by 46%. Fortunately, these declines were by far outweighed by the improved sales for gas and hybrid models. 'Our core models including Carnival, Telluride, Sportage, and K4, continue to set sales records,' said SeungKyu (Sean) Yoon, president and CEO of Kia North America and Kia America. 'Coupled with the steady sales growth generated by our electrified and hybrid models along with the continued rollout of the 2026 EV9 Nightfall Edition and the newly introduced EV9 GT-Line featuring a two-tone roof, we expect this positive sales trajectory to continue. In the second half of 2025 Kia will remain agile in our response to changing market conditions and steadfast in our commitment to delivering products and services that meet the expectations of US consumers.' At this exhibition, Osstem will hold a special promotion along with a booth exhibition for various digital dentistry lineups. The FAMDENT Show Mumbai is one of the most popular dental exhibitions in India, where dental brands and suppliers showcase and demonstrate new products every June. You can check out the latest trends in the global dental industry, and it has established itself as a platform for dentists and dental industry officials to purchase excellent dental products. Participants of the exhibition are given 18 points of continuing dental education (CDE) certified by the Maharashtra State Dental Council (MSDC), which attracts many Indian dentists every year. This year, more than 200 companies and 10,000 dentists and officials are expected to participate in this show. In this FAMDENT Show, Dr. Milind Karmarkar, the main performer, 20 other performers will play at the Scientific Conference. Among them, Dr. Vipin Mahurkar, a performer of Osstem, plans to give a lecture under the theme "Digital Dentistry – A revolution toads simplicity and acuity," which is expected to attract enthusiastic responses from participants interested in digital dentistry. The MEDIT oral scanner "Medit i900," which will be introduced by Osstem at the exhibition, is intuitively easy to operate with the Touch Band and the Touch Pad, and the weight of the product is reduced to 165 grams, so it is designed to prevent wrist and shoulder strain even when used for a long time, increasing convenience. In addition, its own technology, "dual camera scan" algorithm, has been applied to maximize accuracy. Not only the oral scanner, but also the unit-chair K5 and the portable X-ray N1 will be displayed together. K5 and N1 are products that have won the top three global design competitions, and are receiving favorable reviews for their excellent performance and aesthetic appearance. Osstem offers special benefits to exhibitors at the exhibitions. Participants can buy Osstem products at a lower price when they purchase them at the exhibition site. They can also sign up for "Denall," an Ostem dental shopping mall, and receive A-Oss (bone graft material) or Hysil (impression material) products for free when they purchase the first product. Meanwhile, Osstem signed an exclusive sales and supply contract with Medit, a global oral scanner company, in May for Medit oral scanner products (excluding wireless products) in India. "We will strive to provide better value to customers based on partnerships with global companies with excellent product power," an official at Osstem India said. "We will strive to revitalize digital dentistry in the Indian dental market."

2026 Kia K5 Review, Pricing, and Specs
Overview The sleek Kia K5 could easily be mistaken for something more exclusive than the family sedan that it is. Its styling is a departure from the bland-sedan norm, and the interior appointments feel a step up from others in the segment. Power for most K5s comes from a 191-hp 2.5-liter engine, available with either front- or all-wheel drive, while the front-drive GT model steps up to a tire-roasting 290-hp turbocharged engine. All K5s come well equipped with features including LED headlights, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and rear cross-traffic alert. Though the Hyundai Sonata, the K5's mechanical twin, delivers similar equipment for about the same money, we prefer the Kia's more daring styling. What's New for 2026? There are no major changes to the K5 sedan for this model year. Pricing and Which One to Buy The price of the 2026 Kia K5 is expected to start around $29,000 and go up to $36,000 depending on the trim and options. LXS $29,000 (est) GT-Line $30,000 (est) GT $35,000 (est) EX $36,000 (est) 0 $10k $20k $30k $40k $50k $60k For those who don't care about the extra firepower that comes with the GT's 290-hp engine, the GT-Line has a satisfying mix of racy styling elements at a very attractive price. That's the one we'd recommend, and for those who want the all-weather traction of all-wheel drive, it's available for an upcharge. Otherwise, every GT-Line comes standard with a sportier body kit, 18-inch wheels, a 10-way power driver's seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and wireless smartphone charging. We'd also spring for the Premium package, which brings adaptive cruise control, advanced forward-collision warning, and full LED headlights. Engine, Transmission, and Performance Most K5 models are powered by a 191-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder that pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Using that engine, the K5 comes standard with front-wheel drive; all-wheel drive is optional. The full-Monty GT model has a more powerful turbo 2.5-liter four that generates 290 horses and 311 pound-feet of torque. Along with its exclusive eight-speed dual-clutch automatic (also available on the Hyundai Sonata N Line), the sportiest K5 is fitted with bigger brakes, a unique suspension tune, and wider tires on larger 19-inch rims. 0–60-MPH Times The GT we drove sprinted to 60 mph in just 5.2 seconds and stopped from 70 mph in 163 feet. The Sonata N Line, which shares the same engine and transmission, was slightly quicker to 60 mph (5.0 seconds) and stopped even shorter (152 feet). However, the hi-po Hyundai we tested wore optional summer tires (the Kia only comes with all-seasons), which contributed to its performance advantage. View Photos Kia Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG The EPA hasn't released fuel economy estimates for the 2026 K5 yet, but the 2025 model was rated for as high as 26 mpg city and 37 mpg highway. When we get a chance, we'll take the base K5 on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route and update this story with real-world test results. When we subjected the GT model to this test, it overperformed, beating its rating by 4 with a result of 36 mpg. For more information about the K5's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo Inside, the K5 looks great for how much it costs. The layout is both sophisticated and straightforward, and the cabin is appointed with attractive materials such as wood trim on the dash and doors. The K5 also offers an array of upscale interior features, such as ambient interior lighting on the dash and doors, heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a wireless charging pad. While the driver's seat feels high even set at its lowest point, the comfortable dead pedal for your left foot and floor-hinged accelerator are nice touches. The back seat also provides generous legroom, and the trunk has plenty of luggage space. We managed to fit seven carry-on suitcases back there. View Photos Kia Infotainment and Connectivity The K5 comes standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that shares a bezel with the gauge cluster; in some models that gauge cluster is a 12.0-inch digital unit that can be reconfigured to show a variety of info. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration is standard across the lineup. The K5 is also available with a 12-speaker Bose audio system for those who want the best auditory experience. Safety and Driver-Assistance Features Kia's family sedan also offers a variety of standard and optional driver-assistance technology. For more information about the K5's crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features include: Standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection Standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist Standard adaptive cruise control Warranty and Maintenance Coverage Kia's 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty is one of the best in the business. The only real downside to the K5's coverage is that it doesn't include any scheduled maintenance, something competitors such as the Honda Accord now do.
