Get into the maxi-MINI for less money The 2025 MINI Countryman is the BMW sub-brand's SUV. The Countryman debuted in 2010 as the brand's first compact SUV, and the tall MINI is now in its third generation. While it resembles its predecessors, the Countryman adopts the brand's new design language known as Charismatic Simplicity, focusing on a more distinctly modern style with minimalist elements inside and out. The exterior is chunkier, and the new Countryman gets a larger grille that incorporates the bumper. It also sports angular fenders, a new headlight/DRL shape, and new vertical taillights. The new design language and the UKL2 platform also allow for an electrified powertrain, which is present in the 2025 Countryman SE ALL4. What is the Jeep Wrangler 4xe Backcountry? China drags BMW down to first half sales dip

BMW Group has announced a marginal year-on-year (YoY) increase in vehicle deliveries for the second quarter (Q2), with a notable surge in sales of electrified vehicles. Deliveries of BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce vehicles climbed by 0.4% to 621,271 units between April and June. The Rolls-Royce brand experienced a 9.4% YoY sales increase in the quarter. In contrast, BMW & MINI sales witnessed a mixed geographical performance, with a 10.1% rise in Europe and a 1.4% increase in the US, while China saw a decline of 13.7% against the same period of the previous year. However, for the first half (H1) of the year, the group's total vehicle deliveries slightly dipped by 0.5% compared to last year's period, amounting to 1.2 million units. However, the sale of electrified vehicles, including fully-electric and plug-in hybrid (PHEVs) models, jumped by 18.5%, reaching 318,949 vehicles. Despite a slight 0.8% drop in deliveries, the Rolls-Royce brand managed to deliver 2,796 vehicles in the first half of the year. The BMW brand itself delivered 1.07 million vehicles in the first half, with a rise in deliveries across all regions outside China. The brand's electrified vehicle sales rose by 6.5% to 272,402 units delivered in H1, with PHEVs experiencing a significant 28.9% YoY increase in demand. BMW M saw sales up by 6.5% and over 100,000 vehicles sold in H1. The BMW M5 and BMW M5 Touring, launched in late 2024, are also said to have contributed to the division's growth. The MINI brand's sales were also up by 17.3% to 133,778 vehicles, growing across all regions. In China, MINI's sales increased in H1, and its fully-electric models saw demand globally. BMW board of management member Jochen Goller said: 'In the second quarter, we also achieved an important milestone, with the delivery of our 1.5-millionth fully-electric vehicle. 'This success underlines once again how the BMW Group has evolved from an electric pioneer to one of the leading players in the BEV market – now offering more than 15 fully-electric models.' Last month, BMW Group began installing production systems for high-voltage batteries at its new assembly plant in Irlbach, Bavaria, Germany. BMW posts modest Q2 sales increase on growing demand in Europe, US resilience

German carmaker BMW reported a modest increase in second-quarter deliveries on Thursday, as growing demand in Europe offset a slump in China, with the U.S. market showing resilience. In the April-to-June period, deliveries of BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles increased by 0.4% year on year to 621,271 units, the company said. BMW & MINI sales rose by 10.1% in Europe and by 1.4% in the United States, while sales in China fell by 13.7% compared to the same quarter last year, the carmaker said. The U.S. market growth in the quarter is a signal of resilience, given the ongoing tariff pressures and economic uncertainties in the region, Pal Skirta, an analyst from Metzler Equities said. In contrast, peer Mercedes earlier reported a 14% sales drop for its cars unit in North America in the second quarter. German carmakers are pushing for a deal with President Donald Trump to replace a hefty 25% tariff on car and car part imports, from which BMW and Mercedes-Benz would benefit most as both companies operate large factories in the United States. The analyst also pointed to "the strong performance of the MINI brand, which recorded growth across all regions" and should help alleviate market concerns surrounding the agency sales model recently introduced in some markets.>
