Donnarumma 'not spoken' to Man City
Manchester City currently have four senior goalkeepers on their books, which is one too many, so it is somewhat of a surprise that they are being heavily linked with Paris St-Germain's Gianluigi Italy number one's career at PSG appears to be over after being left out of the Super Cup tie against Tottenham and the Ligue 1 champions signing Lucas Chevalier from say City have agreed a deal to sign the 26-year-old but sources close to the player have told BBC Sport this is not the case and they have not spoken to Pep Guardiola's current number one Ederson has been heavily linked with a move to Galatasaray but club sources have said they want the Brazilian to stay and there have, so far, been no bids or interest this 31-year-old is entering the final year of his contract at Etihad Stadium and said at the Club World Cup in June that his "future is here" and his "mind is staying in the club".However, that could change if City were to receive an attractive offer - that would be a situation both the club and player would need to think competition for the goalkeeping jersey is extremely healthy, with James Trafford coming in from Burnley and Marcus Bettinelli being signed as third-choice earlier this means Stefan Ortega's career at City appears to be over with the club open to offers for the German goalkeeper, and would mean they would need to sign a replacement should Ederson depart road then leads back to Donnarumma and, although there has been no contact between the parties so far, that may change by the end of the month.

🎥 OTD: Man City sign the Premier League's ultimate maverick
Mavericks have often found themselves at home with Manchester City. But in the Premier League's polished era, Mario Balotelli stood out like a sore thumb. It is 15 years ago since 'Super Mario' first landed on English shores after Roberto Mancini sanctioned a reported €22m deal to sign him from their old club Inter. The forward's return of 30 goals in 80 appearances for the Blues wasn't the most prolific but he still cropped up with some important strikes during that time. It wasn't just on the pitch where Balotelli left a huge impression at the Etihad Stadium. Fireworks were often never far away, both figuratively and literally. The stories of Balotelli's time in Manchester could fill a book in their own right! 📸 Stu Forster - 2012 Getty Images

Man City outline stance on Ederson future amid interest in £40m-rated PSG outcast Gianluigi Donnarumma - with Galatasaray ready to make a bid for Pep Guardiola's current No 1
Manchester City want to keep hold of Ederson this month but have Gianluigi Donnarumma in their sights were the Brazilian to depart. Galatasaray have been interested in the 31-year-old and are believed to be ready to make an approach. City insist that there has been no contact from any potential suitors, with Pep Guardiola hopeful that his No 1 stays for the final year of his contract. Donnarumma's days at Paris Saint-Germain are numbered after being jettisoned by Luis Enrique, despite playing a crucial role in their run to winning the Champions League last season. City have been weighing up the possibility of a switch for the Italy international in the eventuality of Ederson looking elsewhere over the coming weeks. Ederson himself said in June that he sees his immediate future at the Etihad Stadium and branded suggestions of a switch away as '99 per cent fake news'. Galatasaray have shown an interest in Ederson and are believed to be ready to make a move City would reluctantly allow the former Benfica stopper, a mainstay since joining in 2017, to move on were a suitable offer to arise. Stefan Ortega's future is still to be resolved, with the German currently No 3 behind new signing James Trafford, who re-joined from Burnley. Guardiola used Ederson and Trafford for 45 minutes each during the weekend friendly against Palermo and had planned for the pair to push each other this term.

Ederson moves closer to Galatasaray
Ederson moves closer to Galatasaray Ederson Moraes, the Brazilian goalkeeper from Manchester City, has already given the green light to Galatasaray. A three-year contract is on the table, along with a massive salary: eight million euros per season. In Istanbul, fans are already dreaming of seeing him don the yellow and red jersey. But there's still one obstacle. Manchester City won't let go of their starting keeper so easily. Galatasaray's €7 million offer has been rejected. The English side are asking for nearly double that amount—€13 million. Negotiations are ongoing. With just days to go before the league campaigns resume, everything could speed up. If Galatasaray matches the asking price, this transfer could become one of the summer's most talked-about moves.
