Iran committed to NPT: Foreign minister Araghchi rejects claim of ending IAEA ties

Days after Iran's parliament passed a law limiting inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi dismissed reports claiming that Iran had cut ties with the IAEA as "fake news."He said Iran is still committed to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and continues to cooperate with the IAEA and its related safeguards agreement. Araghchi statement came just a day after Iran's parliament passed a law to limit the IAEA's remains committed to the NPT and its Safeguards Agreement. In accordance with the new legislation by Majlis, sparked by the unlawful attacks against our nuclear facilities by Israel and the US," Araqchi said in a post on social media platform X. "Our cooperation with the IAEA will be channelled through Iran's Supreme National Security Council for obvious safety and security reasons," Araqchi law, enacted on Wednesday by President Masoud Pezeshkian, requires that any future inspections of Iran"s nuclear sites must get approval from the Supreme National Security Council. It follows tensions after the IAEA's board of governors declared Tehran in violation of its obligations under the NPT, and after Israel launched airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in LASHES OUT AT GERMANYThe US called Iran's decision to suspend cooperation "unacceptable," warning Tehran to continue working fully with the IAEA. At a regular briefing on Wednesday, US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said, "Iran needed to cooperate fully with the IAEA without further delay."Germany's Foreign Ministry also called on Iran to reverse its decision to halt cooperation with the IAEA. However, Iran's Araqchi responded by lashing out on Germany, saying, "Iranians were already put off by Germany's Nazi-style backing of Genocide in Gaza, and its support for Sadam's war on Iran by providing materials for chemical weapons. The explicit German support for the bombing of Iran has obliterated the notion that the German regime harbors anything but malice towards Iranians."Iran has long insisted its nuclear program is only for peaceful purposes like energy production and denies any intention to develop nuclear weapons. However, Western countries suspect Iran aims to develop atomic bombs under the cover of a civilian nuclear program. The IAEA's role is to inspect nuclear sites to make sure nuclear activities are not diverted to military IAEA said it is "awaiting further official information from Iran" regarding the new law and how it will affect inspections.- EndsMust Watch

Iran Egypt Foreign Ministers hold telephone conversation

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Badr Abdelatty, the Foreign Minister of Egypt, held a telephone conversation on Monday, to discuss the latest regional developments following the cessation of the Zionist regime's military aggression against Iran. In the conversation, Araghchi pointed to the widespread condemnation of the Zionist regime's aggression against Iran by the international community—especially Islamic countries and key regional organizations. He criticized the failure of two responsible international bodies, namely the UN Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency, to condemn the attacks, and emphasized the Islamic Republic of Iran's firm pursuit of identifying the aggressor and obtaining reparations. The Egyptian Foreign Minister welcomed the end of the Zionist regime's aggression and stressed his country's continued efforts to help de-escalate tensions in the region, including efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza. Iron Dome's successor, lasers: Bad news for Iran as Israel plans secret weapons against Khamenei's regime

Iran-Israel war- File image Iran-Israel war: In a massive development, Israel is developing advanced new weapons, including the Iron Beam laser defense system. As part of the counter threats from Iran and its allies, Israel is reportedly pouring billions to replenish its arsenal and making new secret weapons. Following recent conflicts, Israel's defense industry is working at full capacity to replenish stockpiles and introduce cost-effective, high-tech systems aimed at maintaining its military edge and deterring future attacks. 'Stand-off missiles developed by Israel's defense industries allowed its aircraft to precisely strike key parts of Iran's air defense system from afar. Missiles like the Rampage and the ROCKS were launched at their targets long before Israeli jets even entered Iranian airspace. Simultaneously, Mossad units operated drones deep inside Tehran, targeting top Revolutionary Guard commanders and senior figures in Iran's nuclear program,' the report added. Is Israel building Iron Dome's successor? Reports also claimed that reports claimed that Israel is working on Iron Dome's successor. 'Iron Beam is a 100-kilowatt-class High-Energy Laser Weapon System that will detonate the propellant or high explosive warhead on a rocket. In theory, it will have an unlimited number of shots, rather than 20 missiles per battery like Iron Dome. It will also be far more cost-efficient as the only limiting factor is its reliability and access to electricity, which costs approximately 14 cents per kilowatt hour in Israel,' as per a report of the Popular Mechanics. Iran calls on UN to recognise US, Israel as initiators of 'aggression' Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi called on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to recognise Israel and the United States as the initiators of the 'aggression' against Iran. In a letter addressed to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and UNSC President Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett, Araghchi on Sunday, urged the Council to fulfill its responsibility in maintaining international peace and security, according to the official IRNA news agency. He accused Israel of deliberately targeting residential buildings, civilians, and civilian infrastructure, describing the attacks as a 'flagrant breach' of the UN Charter and a 'blatant violation' of international law. Iran Asks UN To Recognise US, Israel As Aggressors In Recent Attacks

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on Sunday wrote a letter addressed to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and UNSC President Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett to recognise Israel and the United States as the initiators of the "aggression" against Iran. According to the IANS citing IRNA news agency, Araghchi urged the UNSC to fulfil its responsibility in maintaining international peace and security. He also accused Israel of intentionally striking residential buildings, civilians, and essential infrastructure, calling the attacks a "clear violation" of the UN Charter and a "gross breach" of international law. Araghchi stated that Israel and the United States had also attacked Iran's nuclear facilities — which are under the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) — in a "serious breach of the UN Charter, the Non-Proliferation Treaty, and the IAEA's regulations and resolutions." The Iranian foreign minister also stressed that the UNSC should hold the "aggressors" accountable and act to prevent the recurrence of such "crimes." Earlier, on June 13, Israel launched major airstrikes on several areas in Iran, including nuclear and military sites, killing senior commanders, nuclear scientists, and numerous civilians. Iran also responded Israel with multiple waves of missile and drone attacks. On June 22, US forces made an entery in support of Israel an bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities. In retaliation, Iran struck the US Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. After 12 days of fighting, a ceasefire between Iran and Israel was reached on Tuesday. (With IANS inputs)

Iran says Israel ran to ‘Daddy', warns it ‘will not hesitate' to unveil real power if provoked

Iranian Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, said on Saturday that President Donald Trump should put aside the "disrespectful tone" towards Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei if the US wants to have a deal with Iran. Underscoring that Iran does not take it kindly to threats and insults, Aragchi said that Iran would not hesitate to unveil its real capabilities. "The complexity and tenacity of Iranians are famously known in our magnificent carpets, woven through countless hours of hard work and patience. But as a people, our basic premise is very simple and straightforward: we know our worth, value our independence, and never allow anyone else to decide our destiny," Iranian Foreign Minister wrote on X. He added, "If President Trump is genuine about wanting a deal, he should put aside the disrespectful and unacceptable tone towards Iran's Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, and stop hurting his millions of heartfelt followers." "The Great and Powerful Iranian People, who showed the world that the Israeli regime had NO CHOICE but to RUN to "Daddy" to avoid being flattened by our Missiles, do not take kindly to Threats and Insults. If Illusions lead to worse mistakes, Iran will not hesitate to unveil its Real Capabilities, which will certainly END any Delusion about the Power of Iran", the post further mentioned. He concluded his remarks by saying, 'Good will begets good will, and respect begets respect.' The remarks by the Iranian Foreign Minister come amid the backdrop of the US hinting towards talks with Iran. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Thursday (US local time) had said the Trump administration is focused on diplomacy and peace, adding that the US continues to remain in close communication with the Iranians. Addressing a press briefing, Leavitt said, "I spoke to our special envoy Witkoff at length this morning and I can assure all of you we continue to be in close communication with the Iranians and through our intermediaries as well, namely the Qataris, who have been an incredible ally and partner throughout this entire effort. As I said, this administration is always focused on diplomacy and peace, and we want to ensure we can get to a place where Iran agrees to a non-enrichment civil nuclear program." Her remarks follow after the US had conducted precision strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites under Operation 'Midnight Hammer'.
