GTA 6 rumoured to feature game-changing addition after its release

Gamers are speculating on what the new game may entail after Rockstar Games announced that GTA VI would be delayed until May 2026. Rockstar Games announced last week that the release of Grand Theft Auto VI would be delayed until May 26, 2026. Gamers were up in arms about the announcement, and many are impatient to discover what new features GTA 6 may bring. After a second teaser trailer for the game was also released, speculation has risen on one particular never-before-seen feature that fans believe may be introduced in the new game. While Grand Theft Auto VI has been announced to feature two playable characters- Jason and Lucia, who are thought to represent Bonnie and Clyde in the GTA 6 storyline- fans are theorising that a third playable character could be introduced after the game's release next year. ‌ The game's second trailer, which was released on May 6, showed a cop who fans believe could become a third playable character in the game. However, this is strictly fan speculation, as the finer details of GTA 6 remain a mystery for now. ‌ Gamers have been debating the possibility of this new feature online, with some believing that if Rockstar Games stay true to a Bonnie and Clyde style storyline, then adding in a cop as a character wouldn't make much sense. But the gaming company has been known to introduce new playable characters before, particularly after a main protagonist dies. Some fans are theorising that either Lucia or Jason will die in this game, which will prompt the introduction of a third playable character. And this idea is within the realms of possibility, as it echoes previous plans for GTA 5 to replace a character after the main storyline ends. ‌ According to SportSkeeda, Grand Theft Auto V was supposed to replace protagonist Franklin Clinton with a new playable character, Lamar Davis, after players completed the game's main storyline. But due to issues with Lamar's voice actor, this idea was promptly scrapped and Rockstar games had to rewrite the whole of the GTA 5 finale. The Grand Theft Auto VI delay was announced in a disappointing statement from Rockstar games last week that read: "With every game we have released, the goal has always been to try and exceed your expectations, and Grand Theft Auto VI is no exception. ‌ "We hope you understand that we need this extra time to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve." Fans are pulling their hair out waiting for the new game's delayed release, and they weren't pleased to find out that they wouldn't be able to play it until next year. Many aired their grievances on X, with one disappointed gamer saying: "Finding out gta 6 got delayed right as i wake up... it's the worst way i could have started this day". Another gamer hit out at the predictability of the situation, saying: "Twitter Flipping Out About GTA 6 Being Delayed Like It Wasn't The Most Obvious Thing Ever".
