Football is officially in full swing, as players began reporting for training camp in Cincinnati on July 22. And it's no surprise a particular Bengals player arrived in a colorful outfit (hint: He's on the cover of the latest Sports Illustrated). Joe Burrow, who is entering his sixth season with the team, sported a bright-colored tie-dye shirt and black athletic shorts, paired with black-and-white sneakers (that are likely Alo) as he reported to camp. He also had his signature bracelets and what appeared to be a Stanley cup. More: Why Bengals owner Mike Brown starts every training camp with mock turtle soup Advertisement Burrow gave the Bengals' social media team a quick two thumbs-up, stating, "We're back," as he walked into Paycor Stadium. The Bengals shared the star quarterback's entrance on social media, using his quote as the caption. Burrow's stylist, Kyle Smith, told Sports Illustrated that the quarterback "loves color in a way that I don't." The 27-year-old recently graced the August 2025 cover of Sports Illustrated's Sports and Style issue, which dropped on newsstands July 17. U.S. Ryder Cup players will use first fall event, the Procore Championship, to help stay sharp
The Procore Championship in Napa, California, is shaping up to be training camp for the Ryder Cup for the American team to avoid getting rusty ahead of the Sept. 26-28 matches. 'I know I'll be there,' Scottie Scheffler said. Ditto for Xander Schauffele, who suggested the world's No. 1 player was a strong voice in urging whoever is on the U.S. team to be at Silverado Resort on Sept. 11-14. That was a big concern at the last Ryder Cup, held outside Rome in 2023. The PGA Tour season that year ended Aug. 27 with the Tour Championship at East Lake, and the majority of the team had a full month away from tournament golf before going to Marco Simone for the start of the Ryder Cup on Sept. 29. Justin Thomas and Max Homa were the only players in Napa, along with U.S. captain Zach Johnson. Europe had its players at the BMW PGA Championship in England. Team Europe got out to a fast start at Marco Simone and sailed to an easy victory to win back the cup. The Procore Championship is the only PGA Tour event on the schedule between the Tour Championship and the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in New York. It also is the same week as the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth. Odds are against having all 12 of the Americans there — one of them is Bryson DeChambeau, who is banned from the PGA Tour because he's with LIV Golf. Ryder Cup update: Keegan Bradley confirms Bryson DeChambeau's inclusion; Chris Gotterup makes huge jump DeChambeau's T-10 finish at Portrush impressed Bradley enough for Bradley to confirm to Sports Illustrated that DeChambeau will be among the 12 players on his squad. U.S. captain Keegan Bradley told Sports Illustrated he would use one of his six picks on DeChambeau, who finished in the top 10 at three of the four majors this year. 'Bryson is going to be a very important piece to us winning the Ryder Cup,' Bradley said in a text message to SI. 'He brings so much. He brings energy, passion but most importantly, he's one of the best players on the planet.' The LIV Golf League season ends Aug. 24 with its team championship in Michigan. The only other competition for DeChambeau would be a YouTube match or European tour stops in Switzerland, Ireland, England or France.

Livvy Dunne: How New York Times ‘hit piece' led to SI Swimsuit dream
Olivia 'Livvy' Dunne said her career with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 'all started because of a hit piece' The New York Times published about her in November 2022. During a recent appearance on the 'What's Your Story?' podcast, the retired NCAA gymnast recalled the fallout from the past interview about her Name, Image and Likeness (NIL), which was titled, 'New Endorsements for College Athletes Resurface an Old Concern: Sex Sells' — and featured a snapshot of her in a LSU team-issued leotard. 'So I got offered to be in Sports Illustrated — it all started because of a hit piece The New York Times wrote about me,' Dunne, who landed the cover of the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, told host Stephanie McMahon. 'So they came to our gymnastics facility at LSU, took pictures of me. They said, 'Wear your team-issued attire, put on a leotard,'' and they took a picture of me standing in front of the beam, like any gymnast would, and then they blew it up on the screen and put the headline, 'Sex Sells.' 5 Olivia Dunne explains how she became a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model during an appearance on the 'What's Your Story?' podcast with Steph McMahon on July 17, 2025. YouTube/What's Your Story 'Okay, well, you just came into the facility and took pictures of me in our team-issued attire and blew it up on a screen… So I was like, 'Okay, well, this is crazy.' And there was obviously a lot of backlash to The New York Times because of that.' At the time, Dunne fired back at the newspaper in an Instagram Story post. 5 Livvy Dunne's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover for the 2025 issue. SI Cover 'And I decided I [was] going to put that same picture that they posted and captioned 'sex sells' on my Instagram story and write 'at The New York Times, is this too much?'' Dunne recalled of her clap back in 2022. 'Because, come on, you know what you're doing. You just put a picture of me in a leotard for clicks and then caption it 'sex sells.' '… And then people loved that. They were like, 'This is so great,' because no, it's not too much. You're in your team-issued attire, which is a leotard for gymnasts. I can't control that…. So it was just ridiculous. There was a lot of positive feedback from that. So, Sports Illustrated reached out to my agent. I was so excited about that. That was always a dream of mine. I mean, there's some legends and some amazing athletes that have been in Sports Illustrated.' 5 Olivia Dunne walks the runway at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show at W South Beach on May 31, 2025 in Miami Beach, Florida. Getty Images The New York Times story was published with the sub-headline, 'Female college athletes are making millions thanks to their large social media followings. But some who have fought for equity in women's sports worry that their brand-building is regressive.' This isn't the first time Dunne has called out The New York Times publicly. 5 Olivia Dunne during her interview with the New York Post Sports in September 2024. Brian Zak/NY Post During an appearance on the 'Full Send Podcast' in 2023, Dunne called the piece 'complete BS,' and claimed the reporter 'was asking me very odd questions' in the phone interview. 'The interviewer called me and he was asking me very odd questions. It was worded quite weird,' Dunne said. 'He was like, 'So, how does it feel to be a small petite blonde gymnast doing so well with NIL?' I was just like, 'Why does it matter that I'm petite and blonde?' You can just ask me about NIL without you having to use these weird ways of saying it.' 5 Olivia Dunne attends the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Social Club Celebrates the Launch of the 2025 Issue at Moonlight Studios on May 17, 2025 in New York City.
