Zoe Kravitz shares her candid reaction after hearing Taylor Swift's upcoming album The Life Of A Showgirl

Zoe Kravitz revealed that she has already 'heard bits' of her BFF Taylor Swift 's upcoming album The Life Of A Showgirl. The 36-year-old actress — who recently admitted that she 'destroyed' part of the Grammy winner's home — opened up about the pop star's forthcoming music during an interview with Extra on Monday. Taylor announced her 12th studio album last week on her boyfriend Travis Kelce 's New Heights podcast — and is set to hit shelves later this year on October 3. Zoe — who has been close pals with the songstress for many years — was asked by interviewer Tommy DiDario if she has had the chance to listen to the new album. 'I've heard bits of it,' the star shared, before adding, 'It's fantastic, of course. No skips.' Tommy replied, 'No skips? That's rare!' to which the Hollywood actress responded, 'For her, it's not.' Zoe and Taylor have developed a close friendship over the years, and have been seen spending time together on various occasions. Late last year in November, the pair stepped out to grab dinner in NYC - not long after Zoe split from ex Channing Tatum. The High Fidelity actress — who is also the daughter of music artist Lenny Kravitz — had the chance to collaborate with Taylor on her 2022 Midnights album. She notably co-wrote the tracks Karma and Lavender Haze, while also offering background vocals to the latter. Zoe has previously given a little insight into the friendship on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. At the time, she had cheered on Taylor during her Eras Tour stop at Wembley Stadium and said, 'It's crazy.' Zoe continued, 'I mean, I'm not surprised, because Taylor is scary talented at everything she does, so it's not surprising that she's so good. 'But what is weirder actually to me, is that after she performs for however many thousands of people that is, you know, she just comes over after, and like, we drink some wine, and like, eat a burger, and like, hang out.' And during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers last week, Zoe revealed that Taylor provided her refuge during the devastating L.A. fires in January. The actress was also joined by her mom Lisa Bonet as they stayed at the singer's historic $25 million Beverly Hills mansion — and got candid about the incident that 'destroyed' a part of the abode. 'We ended up having to stay there for about two weeks,' Zoe said, with her mother's pet snake Orpheus also tagging along. 'And Taylor has this beautiful house. It's from the '30s, something you want to preserve and take care of.' She recalled telling her mom that she likes to be a 'good houseguest' and 'leave places better than I found them.' While cleaning up the house shortly before she planned to leave, The Batman star received a call from Lisa — who was also inside the home. But The Cosby Show alum admitted to her daughter that she had gotten into 'a pickle.' Zoe recalled going upstairs and finding the bathroom door shut. When she opened it, the star found Lisa 'crouched in the corner in this weird way.' 'And I'm like, "What's going on dude?" And she's like, "So I was washing my face and I had Orpheus and I just put her down for a second. Closed the door and she found this little hole in the corner."' The actress went on to explain that there was a banquette built into the wall next to the tiny hole. Zoe added that her mom was able to get a hold of the snake's tail as they both tried to come up with a plan to try to pull Orpheus out from the wall. The actress was joined by her mom Lisa Bonet as they stayed at the singer's historic $25 million Beverly Hills mansion — and got candid about the incident that 'destroyed' a part of the abode; Zoe and Lisa seen in 2018 However, the snake began to get further into the wall which caused her to 'panic.' She eventually had to reach out to Swift's house manager who arrived to the scene and began to use a crowbar to 'tear apart this banquette.' 'We're ripping up the tile. We're scratching the walls. I mean it's just like...,' Zoe continued before adding that she also had to help her mom hold onto the snake. 'Completely destroyed Taylor's bathroom and there was just this moment where I was like, "Either we destroy her bathroom or I have to tell her that there's a snake somewhere in her house."' Zoe explained, 'I said to her house manager, "Obviously, I'm gonna pay for everything to be fixed. Please just don't say anything until it's fixed."' But when the actress called Taylor to admit to the situation, the Bad Blood songstress already knew. 'I remember calling her saying, "Hey, I wanted to talk to you about something." And she was like, "Is it the fact that you almost lost a snake in my house and destroyed my bathroom?"' Last week on Wednesday's episode of the New Heights podcast, Taylor unveiled the cover art for The Life Of A Showgirl, which has 12 songs. On the cover, the songstress could be seen partially immersed in water while donning a bedazzled bodysuit. She gazed toward the camera in the photo, which was taken by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, whom she previously collaborated with in 2017 for her Reputation album. 'I loved what they did with those photos, so I called them up for [this album]. I am so happy with the way the photos came out with this one,' the singer explained while sitting next to her boyfriend Travis. The star said she is 'so proud' of the LP while adding, 'This is a full send. I care about this record more than I can even overstate.' Taylor also explained that the cover art was meant to show what the 'end of [her] night' looks like after performing on tour. 'My day ends with me in a bathtub — not usually in a bedazzled dress — but we try to keep it decent,' she humorously said, with Kelce sitting next to her. 'I wanted to glamorize all the different aspects of how [the Eras Tour] felt and [the The Life Of A Showgirl cover] is how that felt at the end of the night.' Sabrina Carpenter is featured on the titular track, while other song titles include The Fate Of Ophelia, Elizabeth Taylor, Opalite, Father Figure, Eldest Daughter, Ruin The Friendship, Actually Romantic, Wi$h Li$t, Wood, CANCELLED!, and Honey. Taylor opted to not work with her previous collaborator Jack Antonoff, but instead co-produced the upcoming album with Max Martin and Shellback. The Grammy winner recalled bringing the album to life and recording tracks amidst her Eras Tour from 2023 through 2024. During brief breaks from touring, she would whisk herself to Sweden where she would work closely with Max. And on Monday, Taylor sent fans into a frenzy once again as she showed off a seductive new album cover for The Life Of A Showgirl and its limited-run Shiny Bug Vinyl Collection. In the image, the Bad Blood songstress could be seen posing inside a dimly lit corridor with her arms planted on a bare wall in front of her. She donned a glittering, dark purple bodysuit that clung to her frame as well as matching, elbow-length gloves and nude fishnet tights. Her blonde locks were parted in the middle and cascaded down past her shoulders as she sent a sultry gaze towards the camera. The Life Of A Showgirl will be released on October 3, just over a year and a half after the release of her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Taylor Swift Explains Album Color Decision for 'The Life of a Showgirl' — and It's Deeper Than You Think

Taylor Swift Explains Album Color Decision for 'The Life of a Showgirl' — and It's Deeper Than You Think originally appeared on Parade. On Wednesday, Taylor Swift appeared as a guest on her boyfriend Travis Kelce's podcast New Heights, which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce. In the two-hour episode, the 35-year-old singer opened up about many topics, including how she felt when she got the rights back to her music, what she did this past summer, how she deals with media scrutiny and, of course, the inspiration, details and stories behind her upcoming release, The Life of a Showgirl. Towards the end of the podcast, Swift revealed the album cover, the tracklist and the release date of her 12th studio album. The record will only include 12 songs, one of them being a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter, and will be out on streaming platforms on Oct. 3. Each of Swift's albums — or "eras" — comes with its own theme and signature color palette. For The Life of a Showgirl, that palette is orange and mint green. When Jason Kelce asked about the significance of the color orange, Swift initially replied jokingly and sarcastically, "I've just always liked it, Jason." "It feels like kind of energetically, how my life has felt," the singer continued. "This album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during [the Eras Tour], which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant." The "Style" singer revealed that she wrote and recorded The Life of a Showgirl in Sweden while on the European leg of her Eras Tour, which took place from May to July 2024. Swift worked with producers Max Martin and Shellback on this album, who were also the main collaborators for many of her hits on her albums Red and 1989. Swift also explained that she has different goals with each of her albums, as well as a theme. Since Showgirl was written while she was in the Eras Tour, she explained that the theme behind this next release was to share "everything that was going on behind the curtain," while the two goals were to have songs with "melodies that were so infectious that you are almost angry at it, and lyrics that are just as vivid, crisp, focused and completely intentional." "I wanted the album to feel the way my life felt, and this completely matches the way my life has felt," Swift said. "This is the record I've been wanting to make for a very long time." The Life of a Showgirl will drop on Oct. 3. ET today: a rare vinyl collection, available for only 48 hours. Swift put fans on alert this morning when she started a new countdown on her site. You can shop it here: It was initially unclear what news she'd share, although possibilities included Swift revealing that she will perform at the 2026 Super Bowl or 2025 MTV VMAs. Some fans were convinced she'd announce her album's first single and release date. The URL for her site auto-directed to which was a telling hint the ultimate announcement would be merch of some form. During the interview, the singer explained her Easter egg methodology: 'The art of the Easter egg is that there's do's and don'ts, right? 'Something I'm coming up with, something I have coming up, a plan I have coming together,' she continued. 'Something that you don't know I'm saying for a specific reason that you'll hear later and you'll go back and be like, 'Oh my god.' I think my favorite one of those was I was given an honorary doctorate from NYU, and I made the commencement speech. And I put so many lyrical Easter eggs in that speech that when the Midnights album came out after that, the fans were like, 'The whole speech was an Easter egg.' And for me, that's really fun because they find it fun.' Taylor Swift turns heads in sizzling bodysuit for special edition album imagery ahead of new music

Taylor Swift stunned in a surprise special edition vinyl cover of her upcoming album, "The Life of a Showgirl." For "The Shiny Bug" edition of her 12th studio album, Swift wore a red and black bedazzled bodysuit with matching long gloves. The pop star accessorized with fishnet tights and her classic red lips. Swift, 35, revealed the original artwork for her 12th catalog, which included showstopping images of the singer dressed to the nines like one of Las Vegas' finest entertainers, on Aug. 13. The 12-set tracklist was included with the initial imagery, which will be released Oct. 3. The "Midnights" singer first announced her new album, "The Life of a Showgirl," at 12:12 a.m. on Aug. 12. The next day, she made an appearance on her boyfriend Travis Kelce's "New Heights" podcast. Taylor detailed the 12-track setlist on the podcast, and revealed song names, including "The Fate of Ophelia," followed by "Elizabeth Taylor," "Opal Light," "Father Figure," "Eldest Daughter," "Ruin the Friendship," "Actually Romantic," "Wi$h Li$t," "Wood," "CANCELED!," "Honey," and "The Life of A Showgirl" featuring Sabrina Carpenter. Swift told fans she wrote the album while on the European leg of her record-breaking "Eras Tour" with pop producers Max Martin and Shellback. "I'd do like three shows in a row. I'd have three days off. I'd fly to Sweden, go back to the tour and actually like working on this, I was physically exhausted at this point in the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating," Swift explained. The singer-songwriter previously worked with Martin and Shellback on multiple hit songs including, "Bad Blood," "Blank Space," "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "…Ready For It?" "It was really special," she said of getting to work with the producers again. "It meant the world to me to have this creative experience where we knew we had to bring the best ideas we've ever had. I also know the pressure I'm putting on this record by saying that, but I don't care because I love it that much." According to Swift, TS12 "just comes from like the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life." Kelce, who has had the pleasure of listening to all the unreleased tracks, said the album is "a lot more upbeat, and it's a lot more like fun, pop, like excitement." "I think it's a complete 180 from a lot of the songs on 'Tortured Poets' for sure," he noted. Swift agreed, saying: "Life is more upbeat."
