Thief Returns Gold Chain After 9 Days With Sorry Note: ‘Feld Bad Sensations'

Last Updated: A few days after the theft, just as the couple prepared to leave for Poinachi, they noticed the stolen chain and letter neatly put on their verandah. Theft, whether personal or financial, can have a profound and lasting emotional impact on victims. Beyond the immediate financial loss, individuals may experience a range of negative emotions, including anxiety, fear, anger, shame, a sense of violation and can affect their mental health. But for this Kerala woman, it was no less than a miracle when the thief returned her gold pendant along with an apology letter, nine days after stealing it. Thief Returns Gold Chain To Woman According to Onmanorama, M Geetha of Paramba Lakshmi Nivas in Poinachi, lodged a complaint at the Melparamba police station after her nuptial pendant was stolen while travelling in a bus with her husband. The officials then circulated details of the missing chain in local WhatsApp groups. However, a few days after the theft, just as the couple prepared to leave for Poinachi, they noticed the stolen chain and letter neatly put on their verandah. The note from the thief read, 'It has been nine days since this chain came into my possession. At first, I was pleased. But any time I held it, I felt a bad sensation, a slight shiver. I thought long and hard about what to do with it. Then I noticed a WhatsApp message saying it was nuptial jewellery. I decided that I did not want anyone else to suffer loss. I do not want to reveal my identity. Sorry for keeping it for so long and causing you pain." The letter had the name of a nearby town, Kundamkuzhi, written below. This is not the only case where the thief's change of heart grabbed the viewer's attention. Recently, a bizarre twist has emerged in a high-profile theft case involving luxury watches allegedly worth 6 lakh Euros (around Rs 6.13 crore). According to Wanted in Milan, less than 24 hours after an American visitor was robbed at a five-star hotel in Milan, the stolen items were mysteriously returned, along with a handwritten note from the burglar stating the watches were fake. As per the police report, the thief snatched the man's Tom Ford backpack, which contained four Richard Mille watches—each reportedly valued at 1.5 lakh Euros, along with a wallet, cash in both euros and dollars, credit cards and a pair of Apple AirPods. view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Superdrug shoppers say £6 perfume smells 'exactly like' Tom Ford's £290 version

Superdrug's Cherry Noir is said to be just likeTom Ford's Lost Cherry, which costs £290 for a 50ml bottle. The high street version is a fraction of the price and is said to last all day Superdrug customers are raving about a fragrance that they insist smells 'identical to' a Tom Ford scent. Tom Ford's Lost Cherry retails for £290 for a 50ml bottle, whilst Cherry Noir costs has dropped to £6 and is reported to 'last all day'. Cherry Noir doesn't reveal the breakdown of its fragrance notes online, but features cherry, amber, sandalwood, vanilla, musk and coconut. It's lacking the bitter almond, plum and cinnamon present in Lost Cherry. SWAP WITH NEXT LINE In one of the product images, it boldly states 'af Ford able alternative, get Lost in the Cherry ', making the inspiration crystal clear, reports the Manchester Evening News. 63p-a-day supplement for menopausal women that helps them 'feel like their old selves' Next is selling beauty box with £90 worth of makeup, skincare and more for £20 It's earned an average rating of 4.4 out of 5 on Superdrug. One customer raved: "Amazing! I have had Tom Ford's Lost Cherry, I've had more expensive [alternatives] to Lost Cherry...I came across this and it smells exactly like it! A tiny fraction of the hundreds of pounds you would pay for Tom Ford and a smell that lasts all day, even through a 14hr shift at work. I'm amazed and I'll be buying this over and over again!". Another said: "This is supposed to be an [alternative] for Tom ford lost cherry however I have never smelt that before so can't compare. However I absolutely love this scent, it's definitely got notes of cherry which is a scent I already adore but it's also long lasting which is fantastic as some perfumes only last a couple of hours. It's a decent size bottle for the price too, I am very impressed with this perfume and look forward to trying more of this range." One shopper was let down by a 'medicinal' quality, penning: "Cherry Noir definitely smells very similar to the Lost Cherry fragrance, especially once the perfume has settled on the skin. However, the opening notes of Cherry Noir smell very synthetic and almost medicinal, which initially put me off the scent. Cherry Noir comes in the standard white bottle that all Artiscent fragrances use. The bottle is 50ml, so it's convenient to take along during daily activities or travel. In terms of lasting power, this stayed on my skin for around 6 hours. I wore it to work and could still faintly smell it at the end of the day." Meanwhile another commented: "Perfume for the spring. The freshness of juicy cherries smells sweet and mysterious. Amber and Sandalwood gives a lovely warmth to the scent. It lingers for a long time on the skin and even longer on my clothes. it's a great choice for everyday, This is affordable yet screams luxury from the bottles minimalistic design to the scent." The 'premium' fragrance isn't the sole product at Superdrug drawing comparisons to a high-end alternative. The 100ml £3.50 Fruity Mist Caramel and Pistachio is being likened to Sol de Janeiro's Cheirosa 62 - customers even reckon it's superior. One wrote: "Before trying this mist, I was worried that it would be too sweet, but I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of freshness it gives. Save your money on Sol de Janeiro and buy this, you won't regret." A generous 120g tub of B. Melting Cleansing Balm is a fragrance-free and sensitive skin-friendly way to remove makeup. One customer commented: "Lovely product, skin texture is noticeably softer and smoother directly after use...I would prefer if it had a subtle natural spa smell but then guess that'd make it Elemis and potentially irritable - maybe make 2 versions?" The Elemis balm in question sells for £49 for a 100g tub. There's also Optimum Collagen Day Cream, priced at £15 or £7.50 for members, which has similarly been compared to Elemis with the brand's Pro-Collagen Marine Cream (£95 for 50ml).

"It seems to help with my split ends", whilst a further purchaser concluded: "Great product, leaves my hair very soft and smells amazing, will buy again." Shoppers did have some observations to share, with one noting on LOOKFANTASTIC: "Bought this as kept seeing it on socials, so I had really high hopes. It's ok, smells nice, but not really giving me the WOW factor that I'd hoped for." The Manucurist active glow polish has similarly received excellent ratings. One customer remarked: "Lovely natural look. Very happy with this product." A different buyer stated: "Great finish, but the colour is not right for my skin tone, but it does work really well with Active Smooth treatment." Nevertheless, someone else commented: "Got this as part of my beauty box and absolutely love it! Just gives a mirror shine and makes nails look healthier without any garish colours."

The Early Fall Fashion Edit: What to Wear Before It's Everywhere

I don't know about you, but this summer's sweltering heatwaves have me looking forward to fall with eager eyes (and a yearning heart for the colder temps once again). So, until the next season officially arrives, I'll be working to round out my cool-weather capsule wardrobe to incorporate some additional pieces that'll make my wardrobe (and anyone else's, for that matter) the crème de la crème. If you're with me, get a head start on becoming the most fashionable one in your circle with the must-have fashion trends for the season, as spotted by the ELLE team during the fall/winter 2025 season in New York, London, Milan, and Paris, below. Vibrant Shades Open Gallery Quiet luxury, who? This season, fashion houses are embracing bold, eye-catching colors meant to turn heads. Whether it be a zesty pop of neon green under a tailored suit as seen at Tom Ford or a head-to-toe fire engine red coat like the one at Saint Laurent, you're about to see a sartorial world filled with new levels of color this fall. Sweater Dressing Open Gallery Honestly speaking, is there anything better than a cozy, elevated sweater to bundle up in? I think not. Chic sweaters are nothing new to the fall/winter runways, but this season feels like another level of sophistication. Fair isle sweaters were among the micro-trends within knitwear, but there was a particularly good number of chunky, oversized options (and sweater dresses), too. Embrace the trend now with a simple crewneck knit, or opt for an oversized option you can pair with a tiny pair of hot pants à la Jil Sander. Heavy Metal Leathers Open Gallery Another fall mainstay: Leather. And this year, it's all about the boxy moto jacket. Heavy, oversized leather jackets were the epitome of cool for this season, and as someone who lives in this silhouette during the colder months, I couldn't be more excited. Sculpted Shapes Open Gallery As much as you may love your more oversized, baggier, boxier pieces, prepare to give those a little more shape. The runways at Schiaparelli, Givenchy, and Ashlyn, among others, showed jackets and coats with nipped waists, adding a bit more structure to your ensembles. Opt for pieces with curved, sculptural silhouettes, like this Simkhai skirt that has a unique construction or print that creates the illusion of a garment that might challenge your notion of physics. Shearlings and Faux Furs Open Gallery If you were keeping a tab on the biggest street style trends during the fall/winter 2025 fashion month, then you already know vintage-inspired faux fur and shearling coats are having a newfound renaissance—and it isn't stopping there. Plenty of designers featured the wintry staple on their runways, including Gucci, Fendi, and Tod's. If that's not a hint to get in on the trend now, I'm not sure what is. ‘My dream' scream shoppers as Primark launch £5 dupe of Tom Ford's £390 Lost Cherry perfume & there's matching body wash

Find out which other retailer is selling luxury dupes CHERRY-obsessed shoppers are going wild after spotting a brand-new Primark range including a £5 dupe of a luxury Tom Ford perfume. TikToker Lauren sent fans into meltdown this week after posting a video from inside her local store showing off the sweet-scented collection, which starts at just £3.50. 3 A TikToker spotted Primark's new cherry perfume range Credit: Tiktok/ @Laurenvenn 3 There's also a matching body wash available Credit: Tiktok/ @Laurenvenn Front and centre is the Cherry Crush Eau de Parfum, a £5 bottle that's already being called 'divine' by shoppers lucky enough to get their hands on it. One fan even claimed it smells 'much better than the Soap & Glory cherry scent". But Primark hasn't stopped there. The bargain beauty range also includes a matching body wash for £4.50, a hair and body mist for £3.50, and a foaming body polish for £4, perfect for layering that fruity fragrance all over. Read more on dupes SCENTS CHECK I adore Sol de Janeiro & found a dupe Home Bargains candle for just £2.99 There's even a cherry lip gloss to finish the look. 'This is my dream,' raved one fan in the comments. Another admitted they were 'running to Primark' to snap it up. The only catch is that the collection has been spotted in stores across the UK, but it hasn't landed on Primark's website, so you'll need to head in person if you want to bag a bottle. For comparison, Tom Ford's Lost Cherry Eau de Parfum is a luxury favourite with a cult following and a hefty £390 price tag for a 100ml bottle. 3 Tom Ford Lost Cherry Eau De Parfum costs £390 a bottle It has a rich cherry, gourmand sweetness balanced with floral and amber tones. So if your bank balance won't stretch to Tom Ford levels, Primark's Cherry Crush could be your new summer fling. Primark hops on the 'mini beauty' trend with new range of teeny essentials, and they're perfect for using on the plane It comes after Love Island star, Megan, revealed the Primark dupe she loves. She praised the PS Prep + Perfect Vitamin Enriched Moisturising Primer, calling it the "Primark dupe for the Bobbi Brown." This product, which costs just £4.50, creates a smooth, glowing canvas for makeup. The video, which has amassed 3.5 million views, was part make-up tutorial, part villa tell-all. Luxury perfume dupe Primark isn't the only budget-friendly retailer offering great dupes this summer. If you want to smell amazing without spending a fortune, you need to leg it to Aldi. Thanks to Aldi, you can snap up a Prada fragrance dupe for a fraction of the price - yes, you heard that correctly. The German retailer's £1.99 mini perfumes have sent beauty buffs into a frenzy. Not only are they more affordable, but the 15ml scents are also ideal for chucking in your bag, or when you go travelling for a few days. Shoppers have claimed the Lacura Prism frangrance is "nearly identical" to iconic Prada Paradoxe, which starts at £72 for 30ml in Boots. Prism - which customers insist is "nearly identical" to the original - is described as "delicate and light" and offers "gentle notes" of Orange Blossom, Neroli and Jasmine. It also boasts "warm undertones" of Bourbon Vanilla, White Musk, and Amber which match a rich Bergamot and Tangerine "freshness on the finish".
