Tired of Xavi Simons: Leipzig are willing to lessen their release clause
Voetbal International's Joost Blaauwhof has emphasised that Xavi Simons is on his way from RB Leipzig. Chelsea are very interested in the Dutch international, who has a release clause in his contract in East Germany. Simons, of course, made his permanent move from Paris Saint-Germain to Leipzig just last winter, for a transfer fee of €50 million at the time. According to VI sources, a €70 million release clause was included in Simons' contract with Leipzig. According to Blaauwhof, it seems highly likely the Blues won't even have to pay the full amount of his release clause. A frustrated Leipzig appears willing to let Simons go for less than that amount. Despite previous interest from clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, and Barcelona in international media, Chelsea now appear to be the first club to make a concrete offer for the creative player. According to various media, Bayern Munich are also reportedly monitoring the situation, but that hasn't yet led to any concrete approaches. GBeNeFN | Max Bradfield

Heerenveen playmaker wanted by unknown English club: Frisians reject multiple advances
As per Bart Kruijt of Voetbal International, Levi Smans is attracting serious interest from an English Championship club. Said club has even made several bids for the midfielder, but SC Heerenveen aren't eager to sign off on a move. The 22-year-old Smans transferred to Heerenveen last year from VVV-Venlo, and in his first Eredivisie season, he scored three goals and provided four assists. These exploits caught the eye of a club in England's second tier. This team's identity is still unknown. It appears that a potential transfer has been in the works for weeks. Heerenveen has received and rejected several bids for Smans. According to sources, the latest offer from England was around €3.5 million. It is unknown how much Heerenveen has in mind for Smans, who cost €350,000 a year ago. His contract in Friesland runs until the summer of 2028. Heerenveen's technical manager Johan Hansma has confirmed the English interest. 'It's true there's interest, but we'd like to keep Levi with the team. If we do sell him, it has to be an offer we simply can't refuse.' GBeNeFN | Max Bradfield

Union Saint-Gilloise consider move for cup-winning stalwart at Go Ahead Eagles
Enric Llansana (24) could leave Go Ahead Eagles and is enjoying concrete interest from Belgian champions Union Saint-Gilloise, according to Voetbal International's Joost Blaauwhof. Llansana was a stalwart in Go Ahead's cup-winning team last season and could sign a long-term contract, provided the clubs reach an agreement. This would give the Ajax-trained midfielder Champions League football next season, instead of the Europa League. Advertisement Last season, Llansana played 33 matches in the Eredivisie, scoring four goals for the Deventer side. He was on the pitch for 120 minutes in the cup final against AZ Alkmaar.
