Will 'With Love, Meghan 'Get a Season 3? What We Know About the Future of Meghan Markle's Netflix Show

NEED TO KNOW Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have extended their Netflix deal to produce more new film and television projects The news came shortly before the release of season two of the Duchess of Sussex's lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan The couple's announcement included the confirmation of a With Love, Meghan holiday special, but the future of the series remains unknown Meghan Markle just dropped the trailer for the second season of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, giving fans a look at the star-studded upcoming episodes of her food and lifestyle show. The release comes on the heels of the news that Meghan and Prince Harry have struck a new deal with Netflix for future film and television projects. On Aug. 11, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they would be extending their creative partnership with the streamer through their Archewell Productions with a multi-year, first-look deal. 'We're proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand," Meghan, 44, said in a statement. "My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally and celebrates our shared vision.' The update comes after it was widely reported in July that Harry and Meghan's initial five-year, $100 million deal with Netflix would not be renewed when it expires in September. In addition to the deal, the announcement came with the news of a With Love, Meghan holiday special, set to premiere in December. However, there's been no news yet about the possibility of future seasons of With Love, Meghan. Season two was announced shortly after With Love, Meghan premiered its debut season in March. The second season of the lifestyle show had already been filmed, with Michael Steed back as director. Netflix is also a partner with Meghan's lifestyle brand, As ever, and many of the products are featured on With Love, Meghan. Netflix's CEO, Ted Sarandos, recently said, "We're a passive partner in Meghan's company, and it's a big discovery model for us right now." The Duchess of Sussex told Inc that she was "building out a very different business plan" until she met with Josh Simon, Netflix's vice president of consumer products. "The reach from Netflix, coupled with my vision for the brand, felt like it was going to be a really perfect match," she said in the interview. She added, "They have tremendous experience on licensing deals and turning brands and shows into really good products, like Bridgerton,' referring to Shonda Rimes' royal-inspired series, which has expanded off-screen into fan experiences, concerts and more. It's also possible that Meghan will be turning her focus to other projects. The couple's Netflix press release about their latest deal included an announcement about a new documentary project, Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within. "In the heart of Uganda's Masaka region, where the shadows of the HIV/AIDS crisis linger, a small orphanage becomes a beacon of hope. Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within goes beyond the viral videos to reveal a vibrant, one-of-a-kind community where orphaned children transform hardship into joy, dancing their way toward healing, belonging, and the promise of a brighter future," said the release. Additionally, Harry and Meghan confirmed that their adaptation of Carley Fortune's bestselling novel Meet Me at the Lake is still in the works. "Archewell Productions is in active development on additional projects with Netflix that span a variety of content genres, including the feature adaptation of the bestselling novel by Carley Fortune, Meet Me At The Lake. This romantic drama follows a decade-spanning love story that begins with a chance encounter and a broken promise," the release stated. Bela Bajaria, Netflix's Chief Content Officer, said in a statement: 'Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere. The response to their work speaks for itself — Harry & Meghan gave viewers an intimate look into their lives and quickly became one of our most-watched documentary series." "More recently, fans have been inspired by With Love, Meghan, with products from the new As ever line consistently selling out in record time. We're excited to continue our partnership with Archewell Productions and to entertain our members together.' Read the original article on People

British viewers are not sufficiently 'classy' to enjoy Meghan's Netflix series and are 'too cynical' unlike Americans: Incendiary claim of Harry's friend revealed by RICHARD EDEN... and he doesn't stop there!

Described by British television critics variously as 'an exercise in narcissism' and 'toe-curlingly unlovable TV', the Duchess of Sussex 's series With Love, Meghan provoked much mockery among Netflix viewers. As the American streaming giant prepares to broadcast a second series of the lifestyle and cookery show, one of the Duke of Sussex 's old friends has spoken out about why the British failed to take the series to their hearts.

Meghan Markle Refuses To Film Netflix Show Inside Her Montecito Home, Instead Returns to $9.5 Million Rental to 'Protect That Safe Haven'

Benzinga and Yahoo Finance LLC may earn commission or revenue on some items through the links below. It turns out even Netflix can't get Meghan Markle to open her front door. The Duchess of Sussex may promise an "at home" feel in her lifestyle series "With Love, Meghan", but that sunlit kitchen and cozy dining table on screen? They're inside a $9.5 million rental — not the $14.7 million Montecito, California, estate she shares with Prince Harry, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet. In an interview with People magazine, Meghan explained why her Netflix series — which premiered March 4 — was filmed in a nearby rental that mirrors the style of her own home. "I wanted to protect that safe haven," she said. "We're a close-knit family, and I love those moments—putting Lili down for a nap, having lunch together, having sacred time together at the end of the day." 'Scrolling To UBI' — Deloitte's #1 fastest-growing software company allows users to earn money on their phones. With a production crew topping 80 people, opening her actual kitchen wasn't an option. "Our kitchen is where Mama just cooks for the family, and with a crew of 80-plus people, that's a lot of people to have in your house!" Meghan said. She and Prince Harry, who married in 2018, purchased their Santa Barbara County property in 2020 after stepping back from royal duties. In a 2022 interview with The Cut, Meghan shared how a unique palm tree on the grounds caught their attention during the first tour — a symbol, perhaps, of the privacy and peace they were looking for. Trending: This Jeff Bezos-backed startup will allow you to . That sense of privacy explains why the on-screen version of "home" is actually someone else's. According to Meghan's first season was shot at a nearby four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom property owned by local philanthropists Tom and Sherrie Cipolla. The couple purchased it for $4.7 million in 2017, and it's now valued at about $9.5 million. The location proved such a good fit that she returned to it for season two, rather than move production into her family's actual residence. Netflix's official description promised an "at home"-style experience with the former actress, so some viewers raised eyebrows when they learned the backdrop wasn't her real house. But for Meghan, that boundary seems non-negotiable. The Montecito estate is where Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet play, where family dinners happen without an audience, and where — as she puts it — the day ends in "sacred time together."For fans tuning in, the shift may not matter much. The rental property, with its sunlit kitchen, manicured gardens, and airy interiors, delivers the warm, aspirational vibe the show promises. And for Meghan, keeping her home off-limits preserves something even more valuable than a picture-perfect shot: the sanctuary she says keeps her grounded. As "With Love, Meghan" readies its second season, one thing seems clear — the Duchess is happy to share her California lifestyle, as long as the cameras know where to stop. Meghan Markle's 'underwhelming' With Love guestlist: Season 2 stars a make-up artist, pilates instructor and Netflix TV chefs after she was unable to attract big names, insiders reveal

Meghan Markle failed to land a star like Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama or a Kardashian for season two of her show so was left with a 'very underwhelming' cast including her make up artist and pilates instructor, it was claimed today. Netflix has bailed out the Duchess of Sussex by packing the With Love, Meghan with people who have shows with the streamer, most of them TV chefs, a source has said. The majority of Meghan's guests have links to WME, the talent agency that also represents the Duchess of Sussex, the Daily Mail understands. A British Hollywood insider said: 'It's very underwhelming. It's really down to Meghan to get the stars. Where is Oprah, Michelle Obama or a Kardashian, even? It is just a bunch of random people she knows'. The trailer for the next eight episodes of With Love, Meghan has been viewed 380,000 times on YouTube but has 32,000 dislikes compared to 2,900 likes. And fans have not been wowed by the guests in a rented house near her Montecito mansion used for privacy reasons. Model and TV star Chrissy Teigen is arguably the biggest name but there has been controversy because of the Sussexes' campaigning on online safety and Chrissy's 'mean girl' past that led to her apologising for bullying several people on Twitter. Queer Eye star Tan France, a vocal supporter of the Sussexes, also appears alongside the less well known Jay Shetty and his wife Radhi Devlukia. Meghan's make-up artist friend Daniel Martin is back and her pilates instructor Heather Dorak. There are a number of chefs including Samin Nosrat, Christina Tosi, Jose Andres, David Chang and Clare Smyth - who cooked at the Sussexes' 2018 wedding. 'Chrissy Teigen isn't popular anymore. Guests like Jay Shetty and his wife, or Jamie Kern Lima, they are well known, but not superstars. The others are quite niche really', MailOnline's insider said. 'She's not had any real celebrities on the show apart from Mindy Kalling. 'The closest she has to one on this season is Tan France. But it feels like Netflix stepped in to help her there. 'They have used Tan as Queer Eye is finished and they want to keep him as a Netflix face as he's very popular'. David Chang with Meghan. He is the star of the Netflix show Dinner Time Live The Netflix trailer for season two of Meghan Markle's critically challenged show With Love, Meghan dropped on Tuesday - hours after she and Harry signed a 'downgraded' new deal with the streamer. The Duchess of Sussex 's lifestyle show, where she hosts guests in a rented house near her Montecito mansion for privacy reasons, will return on August 26 - just as Netflix loosened its ties with the Sussexes. With Love, Meghan was renewed for a second season just as season one was released in March. All the episodes were filmed at the same time, it is understood. In the one-minute, 27-second teaser, Meghan is seen eating cheese, prepping snacks and drinks with friends and even reveals the food her husband Prince Harry doesn't like. 'Do you know who doesn't like lobster? My husband,' she says as she prepares the seafood. As the trailer comes to an end, Meghan reveals: 'I love these moments of discovery and beauty. So let's be curious together.' Meghan's lifestyle show failed to break into Netflix 's top 300 programmes for the first half of 2025 and was even thrashed by multiple seasons of Suits. The numbers watching were 'dismal', an insider at the streamer reportedly said. Meghan has also filmed a Christmas special for broadcast in December, in a potential clash with the Princess of Wales ' annual carol concert at Westminster Abbey. The first series showed the former Suits star, 44, inviting friends and famous guests to a California estate, where she shared cooking, gardening and hosting tips. But it was panned by many reviewers who called it 'sensationally absurd and trite' with the Duchess of Sussex called 'tone-deaf' and punting a show that 'vibrates with vacuous joylessness'. It has an IMDB rating of 3.2 out of 10 and a 38% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, indicates that the TV show is considered 'rotten'. Meghan was also lampooned for putting pretzels from the packet into a plastic bag, chiding one guest for using Markle as her surname instead of Sussex and one viewer threatened to sue claiming her recipe for homemade bath salts burned her skin. It came as experts claimed that the Sussexes' new Netflix deal is a 'downgrade' on their previous $100million five-year tie-up and more 'we'll call you' than 'here's the chequebook'. The couple signed a new 'multi-year, first look deal for film and television projects' with the streaming giant - understood to be worth less for the pair than their previous contract. The 'first-look' arrangement means Netflix can say yes or no to new film or television projects before anyone else - allowing them to pick and choose what they invest in. PR expert Mark Borkowski described the new deal as a 'downgrade', claiming it falls a long way from the jackpot figure of Harry and Meghan's original contract in 2020. He told the Daily Mail: 'I think Netflix has done a very neat job of pivoting away from two very expensive people who didn't deliver, and they've taken that deal off the table, and they've given them a modest one. The Duchess of Sussex in her Netflix series With Love, Meghan which came out in March 'It's not like they're gradually uncoupling – it's a downgrade. Netflix are not going to expose themselves to those budgets again. It's Netflix saying, 'Let's have a look at your content, but we'll pick and choose, mate'.' He believes the pair will be paid for each production selected by Netflix rather than receiving an overall fee, such as the reported $100million of their first deal. 'I would be surprised if it's not pay-as-you-go and it's well, well below that first mark,' he added. The couple's new output will include a second season of the Duchess's 'With Love, Meghan' lifestyle show later this month, as well as a Christmas special in December.
