5004 numberplate: Rajinikanth's fan recreates superstar's iconic foreign car moment as she buys her first car, says 'shamelessly asked...'
Rajinikanth once made the headlines when he recalled a past memory of being ridiculed by a producer and his journey to success. Now, the superstar's fan has recreated the moment, expressing her joy as a fangirl. Rajinikanth's fan recreates the superstar's iconic moment Taking to her social media handle, Ramya Raman said, 'Bought new car. Took it to Thalaivar home. I kept the keys close to the magical name that has always inspired me to think beyond. And the car number is 5004... yes Thalaivars first car number.' 'Foreign car eduthutu... ithe kodambakkam roadla moment... endrum Thalaivar Vazhiyil (Taking my foreign car and the Kodambakkam road moment. Always in Thalaivar's path). And took delivery from the same person who gave X7 delivery to Thalaivar, shamelessly asked them. Inspired, blessed,' she added. See the fan's post with pictures: When Rajinikanth was insulted by a producer For those unaware, Rajinikanth once recalled an insulting moment in his life during the Darbar audio launch. Speaking at the event, the superstar narrated how he was offered a positive character in another actor's movie, and a remuneration of Rs 6000 was finalized. The actor who wasn't a superstar at that time agreed to the salary and asked for Rs 100 or 200 as an advance. However, the producer refrained from paying the amount and assured it would be given to him on the day of shoot. On the first day of shoot, Rajinkanth was asked to put on his makeup, but refused to apply it until an advance was paid. The actor said, 'The production manager told me that the hero had arrived and asked me to sit for makeup. I refused. I told him that I wouldn't proceed without getting Rs 1000.' Knowing this, the producer became furious and insulted Rajinikanth, refusing to give him a role in the movie and making the actor walk home all by himself. The superstar added, 'That was when I realized that if I do not come back to AVM Studios in a foreign car, then I am not Rajinikanth.' Concluding his words of motivation, the Coolie actor revealed how he fulfilled the promise to himself, appearing at the same AVM Studios in his Italian Fiat with the numberplate 5004, smoking a cigarette and looking regal.

BMW 7 Series tops Korea's premium import sedan sales in H1
BMW's 7 Series posted the strongest sales performance in South Korea's premium flagship import market during the first half of this year. According to the German carmaker's Korean unit on Monday, 2,885 vehicles were sold from January to June, reflecting a 23.7 percent increase from the same period last year. The 740i xDrive accounted for over half of all sales, leading the lineup with 1,512 sold, marking 40.8 percent year-on-year growth. The diesel variant, 740d xDrive, also recorded a 36.2 percent increase with 831 sold. BMW's performance further extended across its large luxury model lineup, which includes the full-size sport utility vehicles X7 and XM, the 8 Series coupe and M8 sedan models. The brand sold 5,776 vehicles in this segment during the first six months of this year, up 21.4 percent from 4,758 last year. The X7 alone posted sales of 2,421, a 21.5 percent increase year-over-year, demonstrating BMW's dominance in the large luxury SUV category with a total of 2,578 SUVs sold. South Korea continues to be a crucial market for BMW globally, ranking third in 7 series and overall luxury class sales. BMW Korea said that the market's alignment with BMW's values of innovation, luxury and personalization makes it one of the brand's most strategic regions worldwide. One key factor behind this success is the rise of tech-savvy middle-aged consumers in Korea who seek both advanced digital features and sophisticated design. The 7 Series addresses this demand with features like a 31.3-inch display in the rear, supporting streaming platforms such as Netflix and YouTube, as well as HDMI input for external content. Additional highlights include the 4D Bowers & Wilkins sound system, the Executive Lounge seating package and Executive Drive Pro for maximum ride comfort. BMW also offers a wide range of power trains under its Power of Choice strategy, including gasoline (740i), diesel (740d), plug-in hybrid (750e xDrive) and fully electric models (i7, i7 M70 xDrive). To further enhance exclusivity, the company operates the BMW Individual program for top-tier models like the 750e xDrive, i7 xDrive60 and i7 M70 xDrive. Customers can choose from over 22,000 combinations across exterior design, colors, trim lines and interior materials. Moreover, the BMW Excellence Club ㅡ a premium ownership program ㅡ plays a vital role in driving customer loyalty by offering once-in-a-lifetime experiences, such as VIP access to the Cannes Film Festival and the Ryder Cup golf tournament. Additional benefits include priority invitations to BMW-sponsored concerts, events and the BMW Ladies Championship, Korea's only LPGA tournament. "Through a continued focus on tailored benefits and premium services, BMW Korea is committed to redefining luxury mobility experiences and reinforcing its leadership in the domestic market," a company official said.

From Chore to Choice: Taking the Work Out of Lawn Care with the Sunseeker Elite X7
If you've ever stood in the middle of a sprawling backyard on a hot Saturday afternoon, mower in hand, wondering why keeping the grass neat feels like a second job—you're not alone. For many homeowners with sizable lawns, the ritual of mowing can be exhausting: navigating slopes, weaving around trees and flowerbeds, and constantly emptying clippings. Even robotic mowers, which promise convenience, often fall short when faced with uneven terrain or complex garden layouts. That's why the Sunseeker Elite X7 feels like a breath of fresh air. What sets the Sunseeker Elite X7 apart isn't just how it mows, but how it reshapes the role of lawn care in daily life. The real value lies in how seamlessly it fits into your routine—freeing up hours each week, removing the stress of constant upkeep, and delivering a consistently neat lawn without compromise. A big part of that ease comes from how well it handles the everyday realities of a real garden. Most gardens aren't perfectly flat or open. Trees create patchy satellite signals, flower beds break up open space, and pets or garden furniture often move throughout the day. The Sunseeker Elite X7 is built to handle exactly these kinds of environments—without constant supervision. At the core of its performance is the AONavi™ Positioning and Navigation System, which combines satellite-based RTK-GNSS with Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (VSLAM). This dual approach allows the X7 to navigate with high accuracy, even in areas where GPS alone would be unreliable. Whether the layout is open or irregular, it plans efficient paths and avoids unnecessary overlap, making full use of the lawn area without wasting time or energy. The Vision AI System adds another layer of reliability. Equipped with binocular cameras and trained through deep learning, the X7 can recognize more than 200 types of obstacles after contact and reroute intelligently. Unlike simpler systems that stop at anything unexpected, the X7 understands the difference between objects in the environment and adjusts its route accordingly. One particularly thoughtful feature is its ability to recognize small animals, helping to prevent accidental disturbances to pets or wildlife. For many homeowners, a freshly cut lawn is a small but satisfying marker of order. But achieving that clean, even look—without damaging the turf or spending hours reworking missed patches—can be harder than it seems. Its floating dual-blade system automatically adjusts to the contours of your lawn, delivering a consistent, even cut across slopes and uneven areas. This gentle approach avoids the scalping and tearing that can damage grass and lead to patchy growth. With a 35cm cutting width, the X7 mows more efficiently than most standard robotic mowers—cutting nearly twice as much area in the same amount of time. That means less energy spent, fewer passes, and more reliable results, even in larger or more complex gardens. The adjustable cutting height, ranging from 20mm to 100mm, also gives users more control than most models on the market, which often top out at 70mm. Whether you prefer a close-cropped look or a lusher, longer finish, the X7 can easily be tailored to suit seasonal needs or personal preferences. Not every lawn is flat and predictable. Many are shaped by slopes, uneven patches, tree roots, and seasonal shifts that make mowing inconsistent at best—and frustrating at worst. Equipped with all-wheel drive, independently suspended front wheels, a floating cutting deck, and a swiveling rear axle, the X7 moves with control and balance across a wide range of surfaces. Whether it's handling a steep incline, transitioning from grass to gravel paths, or navigating over soft ground after a rain, the mower maintains stability without losing grip or cutting performance. With the ability to manage slopes of up to 70% (35°), the X7 gives users peace of mind that the job will get done, regardless of terrain complexity. Through the Sunseeker Smart App, you can check in on the mower's progress, adjust the schedule, or set new mowing zones—all from your phone. Whether you're on the sofa, at work, or away for the weekend, you're always in the loop. The app gives clear updates in real time, so you know where it's been, what's left, and if anything needs your attention. But beyond the engineering, what the X7 really delivers is freedom. Freedom from weekend chores, from patchy results, from the constant adjustments that most mowers demand. Whether you're managing a large, multi-zone lawn or simply want a garden that stays immaculate without effort, the X7 gives you back your time—while still delivering professional-level results. In that sense, it's more than just a lawn tool. It fits seamlessly into a modern lifestyle where intelligent systems quietly take care of the background work, so you can focus on what matters most. The Sunseeker Elite X7 isn't just about cutting grass—it's about redefining routine with smarter, more intuitive living.

Next BMW X7 spotted with Neue Klasse styling
BMW's largest SUV, the X7, is set to make a return in 2026, the second-generation model spotted testing on European roads. Prior to that the Neue Klasse line-up will launch, kicking off with the new iX3 due out later this year. As with the new X5, due out in 2026, the X7 also borrows styling from the Neue Klasse line-up. From the look of the camouflaged test vehicle, BMW's biggest SUV will have seven-seat capacity again. This ensures it rivals the upcoming GLS and full-sized Range Rover. Read our review of BMW's 2023 X7. Up front is a split headlight design, as on the current vehicle, and a vertical kidney grille arrangement. Whether it merges into the headlights, like other Neue Klasse models, is unclear. At the rear is a quad-tip exhaust system, indicating it is an M50 or M60 variant, and a roof-end spoiler. It is thought that the new X7 will use an overhauled version of the firm's existing Cluster Architecture (CLAR). This can incorporate both ICE and electric powertrains. Whether the latter comes to pass is unclear, but the iX7 name is a BMW trademark. And the company is currently creating EV variants of its core models. The Neue Klasse programme includes an iX3, an 'i3' (3 Series) and an electric 'i1' 1 Series at some point. Electric components for the iX7 could be borrowed from the i7. That has a 106kWh battery with three different motor outputs, ranging from 335kW (single motor) to 485kW (dual motor). Given the X7 is an SUV, expect only the dual-motor all-wheel drive variants.

The new BMW X7 is getting the Neue Klasse treatment
We only got confirmation last month that BMW's largest SUV, the X7, will return for a second generation, but we've caught it testing on the road already as it's prepared for an expected launch in 2026. BMW subtly announced the new model during its Q1 financial results call earlier this year, during which the company revealed it had incurred the research and development costs for the upcoming Neue Klasse line-up (which will launch later this year with the new iX3) as well as 'successor models to the BMW X5 and BMW X7'. Advertisement - Article continues below News of a fifth-generation X5 was no surprise, as we've also spotted it testing with some clear design influences from the Neue Klasse concepts. As with the new X5, due in 2026, the X7, which may also arrive next year, looks like it'll borrow styling from the Neue Klasse line-up. What is immediately obvious from the shots of this camouflaged test car is that the X7 will retain its position as BMW's biggest SUV. The sheer proportions will surely give it seven-seat capacity once more, ensuring it remains a close rival to the Mercedes GLS (which will soon be updated) and the full-size Range Rover. Skip advert Advertisement - Article continues below At the front end, it looks like the new X7 will continue with the split headlight design that appears on the current car and the 7 Series limousine flagship. Here we can see a chunky headlight cluster below a thin LED strip. In the middle, there's a vertical kidney grille arrangement – we'll have to wait and see if this merges into the headlights, as per the Neue Klasse concept models. Also visible are some tabs on top of the doors to the side, which is something we've seen on other prototype BMWs, including the next-generation X5. At the rear, the design is less radical, with a quad-tip exhaust system on this car suggesting it could be a hot M50 or M60 variant, plus an overhanging roof spoiler. Underneath, the new X7 is expected to sit on a revised version of BMW's existing Cluster Architecture (CLAR). This platform is able to cater to both internal-combustion and pure-electric powertrains. While BMW hasn't suggested the new X7 will gain a pure-electric variant, the German firm has at least trademarked the 'iX7' nameplate. An all-electric iX7 wouldn't be too surprising, however, given that BMW is in the process of creating EV variants of its core models. The Neue Klasse programme will see the introduction of the X3-sized iX3 first, followed by the all-electric 'i3' 3 Series and at a later stage an electric 'i1' 1 Series. It's possible the electric components for the iX7 could be taken from the i7. Powering the CLAR-underpinned i7 is a 105.7kWh battery with three different power outputs – a single-motor rear-wheel-drive 449bhp unit, a dual-motor four-wheel-drive 537bhp version and a top-rung dual-motor with 650bhp. Given the X7 is an SUV, we'd expect only the dual-motor all-wheel-drive layouts to be offered. Can't wait for the new model? Check out the best BMW X7 deals right now...
