Ye's Yeezy.com Returns With $20 Slides For Sale
Ye is equally adept at angering the masses and marketing his products. The 48-year-old artist returned to the shoe game this week with the relaunch of highlighted by new $20 slides. His popular site was originally shut down by Shopify earlier this year, but you can't keep the artist formerly known as Kanye West down for long. Eight new products are now available for sale; the previously Adidas Yeezy slides are now referred to as the YS-01 and no longer feature a logo. Fans can also purchase the Yeezy Pods (PD-01 for short), the SL-01 slide, high heels, and boots. It would be smart to rush and purchase anything before some controversy occurs, and this website gets taken down, too. With the Vultures artist, anything is possible. Ye has spent the majority of this year offending countless groups of people. He proudly declared his love for Adolf Hitler and called himself a Nazi, insulted Lizzo and other large women, feuded with Playboi Carti, expressed his envy toward Kendrick Lamar, and went back-and-forth between dissing and defending his old rival, Drake. The Chicago producer also erratically released a lot of music. In March, he shared Bully and an accompanying short film. In May, he shared a new single, 'Alive' with YoungBoy Never Broke Again, but infuriated Carti. The song sampled DJ Swamp Izzo's 'Alive,' which the Atlanta artist flipped on 'Crank' from his March album Music. Carti also had a version of 'Alive' featuring NBA YoungBoy, and he leaked that record in retaliation against Ye. The duo's falling out was largely because Carti wanted to get West's daughter North on a song, and Kim Kardashian permitted it, though she had previously taken issue with her ex-husband attempting to put their child on a track with Diddy. Pusha T Shuts Door On Musical Reunion With Ye: 'That's In The Past'
Pusha T is making it crystal clear: his collaborative days with Ye, formerly Kanye West, are officially behind him. In a candid new interview with The Guardian published Thursday (Aug. 7), the Virginia-bred lyricist not only reflected on their creative peak, but firmly shut the door on any chance of musical reconciliation. 'Just as a rap aficionado, well, being there was special!' Pusha recalled. 'Creating 'So Appalled' and 'New God Flow' were some of my favorite memories. The Good Friday series, that was crazy, too. 'The albums I dropped during that time, like Daytona and It's Almost Dry, they are very, very strong offerings. It goes without saying that me and Ye made great things together.' Still, for Pusha, the past is exactly where that era belongs. 'Yeah, that's in the past. That's definitely in the past,' he said firmly. 'If I diss someone, it's a very real thing to me. I watch other rappers use disses as a gimmick and sh*t like that, but that ain't what this is for me.' The fallout between the two once-close collaborators has been simmering for some time, which Pusha offered insight into during an interview with GQ earlier this year. 'We did… He's a genius. And his intuition is even more genius level, right? But that's why me and him don't get along, because he sees through my fakeness with him. He knows I don't think he's a man. He knows it,' Pusha admitted. 'That's why me and him don't click, because he knows what I really, really think of him. He's showed me the weakest sides of him, and he knows how I think of weak people.' With that, it seems one of hip-hop's most potent partnerships has reached its final verse.
