Yellow Wiggle Greg Page slams Justin Timberlake in 'brutal' TikTok: 'Getting roasted by the OG!'

Page posted an exercise video to TikTok on Wednesday in which the 53-year-old can be seen doing push-ups with minimal effort while listening to the superstar's tune Can't Stop the Feeling. In the short clip, Greg can be seen taking little breaks as he listens to a live version of the 2016 hit in which Timberlake stops his vocals to let excited concertgoers take over the song completely. 'When you're working out to your favourite JT song and you are giving as much as he does', he said in his cheeky share. Fans appeared to love the Timberlake diss, with 372 followers commenting on the amusing sledge. Page posted an exercise video to TikTok on Wednesday in which the 53-year-old can be seen doing push-ups with minimal effort while listening to the superstar's tune Can't Stop the Feeling 'JT catching strays from Greg Page wasn't on my 2025 Bingo Card, but if someone has it, mark it down,' said one user on the thread which has attracted 24.3K 'love' emojis. 'I think I can handle this new JT workout,' joked another follower, while a third added, 'This is how I normally work out… can't believe I haven't seen any results yet 18h ago.' 'Getting roasted by the OG Yellow Wiggle is absolutely brutal,' commented another user. 'Greg you're a legend,' another fan gushed. It comes after Greg revealed revealed that he was returning to show business earlier this year. The former star children's entertainer, who hung up his Yellow Wiggle skivvy back in 2013, was back on stage in March as part of the new musical production of Annie at the Capitol Theatre, Sydney. He plays President Roosevelt for the show which is now playing in Melbourne. Greg says that while he was performed all over the world, tackling a theatre role is very different to being part of a group for children. 'This is very scripted... with the Wiggles we had flexibility and we could improvise,' he told the Canberra Times back in March. 'It's one thing to take a man out of the Wiggles but you can't take the Wiggles out of the man,' Page said. He added: 'I've performed in many theatres, many times in different countries. This is a very different experience.' Greg had been experiencing health difficulties since December 2005, when he underwent a double hernia operation. He was forced to withdraw from the group's 2006 US tour after suffering repeated fainting spells, slurred speech, fatigue, and trembling. After bring diagnosed with a non-life-threatening form of dysautonomia - a hard-to-diagnose chronic illness - Greg decided to step away from the beloved musical act. In doing so he made way for newcomer Sam Moran. After making a return to the Wiggles in 2012, replacing Sam, Greg suffered a near-fatal heart attack while on stage with the group, for a one-off reunion concert at Castle Hill RSL in 2020. A young off-duty nurse in the audience found a defibrillator in the RSL and desperately worked to resuscitate Page while waiting for an ambulance. In his first interview since the attack on radio station 2GB, Greg said he had no warning signs. 'I went happily on my way, Wiggle-d my butt off that night, and nearly didn't make it,' he recounted of the concert. Despite his heart attack, Greg said he still considers himself to be 'fitter' than he's ever been, and said he was carrying more weight when he left The Wiggles in 2013. 'I felt really good. No warning signs, no symptoms, so when the show was coming up, I thought, "Yeah, okay, I'll just walk a little bit harder this morning, go a little bit faster"' he said.

Hormonal vs bacterial acne: Symptoms, causes and solutions
Learn about the the critical differences between hormonal and bacterial acne. Image: Pexels Acne, whether you're a teen battling breakouts or an adult managing surprise flare‑ups, is more than just a skin issue. It can dent your confidence, disrupt routines, and even leave dark marks or scars. Yet not all acne is the same. Distinguishing between hormonal acne and bacterial acne is vital, because the causes, symptoms and treatments of each differ markedly. Knowing which type you're dealing with can make all the difference in achieving clearer, healthier skin. What is acne, and why does it happen? Acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory disorder affecting the oil-producing follicles found on the face, back and chest. It develops when follicles become clogged with excess sebum, dead skin cells and bacteria. Multiple factors like hormonal activity, diet, genetics, stress, or skincare choices, can contribute. Distinguishing between hormonal and bacterial types is important because treatment approaches differ significantly. A one‑size‑fits‑all approach often fails and can delay effective management. Next Stay Close ✕ Hormonal acne Causes & timing Hormonal acne is triggered by fluctuations in androgen hormones, such as testosterone and DHEA, which stimulate sebum production and clog pores, setting the stage for bacteria and inflammation. It is especially common during puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, perimenopause and in women with polycystic ovary syndrome. Typical appearance & pattern Hormonal acne often appears as deep, red, tender cysts or nodules beneath the skin, particularly along the jawline, chin and lower face. It commonly flares cyclically, worsening in the week before or during menstruation. It may also produce occasional whiteheads or blackheads. Lifestyle factors Stress elevates cortisol, which can worsen oil production and acne flare-ups. High sugar or dairy intake may also contribute to increased inflammation and sebum output. Poor sleep may further destabilise hormonal balance. Treatment options Treatment typically requires a dual approach: hormonal modulation and topical clearance. Options include combined oral contraceptives for women or anti‑androgens like spironolactone or newer topical clascoterone to rebalance hormones. Topically, retinoids, salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide help clear follicles. Lifestyle changes such as reducing dairy and sugar, managing stress and improving sleep support long‑term improvement. Prevention vs management Hormonal acne can often be managed effectively, but rarely eradicated permanently. For many, especially women with PCOS or persistent cycles, maintenance treatment over time may be necessary. Avoiding known dietary triggers and sustaining good sleep and stress control can help prevent flare-ups. Bacterial acne Cause & triggers Bacterial acne is driven by overgrowth of C. acnes in overly oily, clogged pores, triggering inflammation and pus‑filled lesions. It is often aggravated by poor hygiene, occlusive products, high humidity and excess sebum; environmental and lifestyle factors such as dirty gym equipment, pillowcases or makeup brushes also contribute. Appearance & pattern This type of acne typically presents as whiteheads, blackheads, papules and pustules, especially on the T‑zone, cheeks, back and shoulders. Unlike hormonal acne, it does not follow a menstrual cycle and may occur in both genders and across age groups (though it's more common in teens and young adults). Treatment options Treatment focuses on reducing bacterial load and unclogging pores. Common treatments include benzoyl peroxide, topical antibiotics like clindamycin, and retinoids to regulate cell turnover. Oral antibiotics may be prescribed for moderate to severe cases, but typically for only short periods due to concern about antibiotic resistance. Why misdiagnosis happens and why professional advice matters Because acne types can co‑exist and appear visually similar, self‑diagnosis is tricky. Many people attempt over-the-counter treatments for weeks without improvement. According to experts, one should consider a dermatologist consultation if acne persists after three months of OTC treatments and lifestyle adjustments. Dermatologists can assess hormone levels and identify bacterial involvement before prescribing targeted treatment plans, helping reduce long‑term scarring and psychological impact. Successful acne treatment starts with knowing what kind of acne you have. Hormonal acne responds best to therapies that address hormone imbalance plus skincare, whereas bacterial acne requires antibacterial and unclogging treatments. Both benefit from mindful lifestyle habits. If you're not seeing progress, professional consultation is key. IOL Lifestyle Get your news on the go, click here to join the IOL News WhatsApp channel.

The 31-year-old, Tiffany Meek, mother of the 11-year-old Jayden-Lee Meek, is accused of murdering her son. Image: Timothy Bernard / IOL Graphics Tiffany's defence lawyer, Noven Naidoo, has argued strongly for the release of his client on bail, insisting that she is not a flight risk. Tiffany is facing multiple charges, including murder, crimen injuria, defeating the ends of justice, and attempting to obstruct justice. Video Player is loading. Image: Supplied Jayden-Lee's body was found on May 14 on the staircase of their flat at the Swazi's Place complex in Fleurhof, southwest Johannesburg, after the Grade 6 learner was reported missing the day before. On Monday, Naidoo argued that her client is innocent, and everybody wants justice for Jayden-Lee. "The learned magistrate, in her wisdom, should realise that with all the public outcry, there is no evidence that Mr Mnisi was harmed by the public. While the public is indeed angry with the applicant, why would they resort to murder? Kill the applicant and risk being also charged with murder. Everybody wants justice for Jayden-Lee, but that can only be achieved through a proper investigation and with the trial court making a determination on the matter. "In conclusion, there is no evidence before this court to even suggest that the applicant is a flight risk. In the absence of such evidence, it is submitted that the accused be released on bail as the accused has discharged the onus as a suitable candidate for bail," Naidoo stated. On Monday, the State prosecutor argued that Meek does not have a reliable address as she intends to relocate to another province, which will make things difficult for the State to take control of the case. Tiffany Meek, 31, appearing before the Roodepoort Regional Court in Johannesburg. Image: Timothy Bernard / Independent Newspapers "If the applicant is released and goes to stay with her father, she will not have a stable address. Two, your worship, it is evident that the accused will continue to be employed, and she is not required to be in the office. She can work remotely. That means she can work from anywhere, and she will continue to have financial resources. "What I mean is that the applicant could be a flight risk. She is in another province. So we are asking someone somewhere in another police station who has no interest in this matter to keep tabs on her," the State prosecutor told the court. IOL News

Fatah's Jibril Rajoub: Africa's role in Palestinian unity and peace
KZN ANC Provincial Coordinator Mike Mabuyakhulu, KZN ANC Provincial Provincial Convenor Jeff Radebe, Palestine Secretary General Jibril Rajoub, Advisor of Palestine President Salman Elherfi and Deputy Convenor Weziwe Thusi. Image: Tumi Pakkies/ Independent Newspapers Palestinian leader and Secretary General of Fatah, Jibril Rajoub, has pleaded with Africa to unite to ensure the continent plays a powerful role in driving peace in conflict zones. "Our message, especially in this critical time, is that while Africa like many around the world, is not happy with the split amongst Palestinians, we want unity and Africa must lead the way in that. Africa must be united. You have to become again one family with one plan, with one leadership. While I am with Fatah and have been for more than 20 years, I believe, as South Africa has shown the world, the only way to unite with Hamas is through dialogue, national reconciliation, national unity and free elections," Rajoub told IOL in an exclusive interview in Durban, where the Fatah delegation is visiting as part of its visit to the country for a Liberation Movement summit, as guests of the ANC. The Fatah group is the second largest political party in the Palestinian Legislature and the largest in the multi-party Palestine Liberation Organisation, founded by the late Yasser Arafat. And, while Fatah has been in a factional battle with Hamas, Rajoub said his party remains open to unifying all groups under one Palestinian body. Thanking South Africa for their support of Palestinians and bravery in taking Israel to the International Court of Justice, accusing it of committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. "Those who brought Israel to the ICC and ICJ came from the disciples of Mandela in South. Our chemistry, that bond, with South Africa is unbreakable. And we appreciate it," added Rajoub. "The world must know that Palestinians will never leave our homeland. We are there and we will stay there. We have two choices: either martyrs or a free will not give up and we will not surrender, and we will continue our struggle until we have our rights, right self-determination, our national aspirations, our full independent sovereign Palestinian state, free and independent," added Rajoub.
