Avichay Adraee: Special operation in southern Syria targets Iran-linked cell, weapons seized
Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee claimed on X that forces from the 474th Brigade of the 210th Division carried out a special overnight operation to capture a cell "activated by Iran" in the areas of Umm al-Luqas and Ain al-Basali in southern Syria. The operation was conducted in coordination with field investigators from Unit 504. ''Based on intelligence gathered in recent weeks through investigations, the brigade conducted a focused nighttime raid that resulted in the arrest of several operatives,'' he stated. According to Adraee, the forces discovered weapons and hand grenades in the area where the cell was apprehended. Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced on X that the Israeli military struck an inactive nuclear reactor in the Arak region of Iran overnight. Adraee stated, ''Construction of the reactor began in 1997 but was never completed due to international pressure. In recent years, the Iranian regime had worked to convert the facility into a reactor capable of producing plutonium. However, Iran deliberately avoided completing the conversion to use it as leverage against the West.'' Avichay Adraee claims Israel struck Iranian Air Defense system in Western Iran
Israeli Army spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced on X that the Israeli Air Force had carried out a wide-scale strike targeting the Iranian regime's air defense system in western Iran. In his post, Adraee stated: 'In recent hours, Israeli fighter jets completed a large-scale strike on the Iranian regime's air defense system in western Iran, destroying dozens of radar systems and surface-to-air missile launchers.' Israel issues evacuation warning for residents of Ain Qana, South Lebanon
