US envoy urges Lebanon to resolve Hezbollah arms
Shafaq News – Beirut Hezbollah's disarmament would benefit both Lebanon and its Shiite community, US Envoy Tom Barrack asserted on Monday, framing the step as enforcement of existing resolutions rather than a new accord. After meeting Lebanese President Joseph Aoun at the Presidential Palace in Baabda, Barrack emphasized that Washington's role is 'advisory, not coercive,' stressing that the weapons issue must ultimately be resolved by the Lebanese state. Israeli airstrikes hit southern and eastern Lebanon
Shafaq News – Beirut Israeli warplanes carried out a wave of strikes on Thursday targeting several locations across southern and eastern Lebanon. Local media reported that the raids hit Barguz, al-Mahmoudiyah, al-Jarmaq, al-Qatrani, and al-Jabbour in the south, most of which have been repeatedly targeted. The scale of human or material damage from the attacks remains unknown. Earlier today, two Lebanese citizens were injured in an Israeli drone strike targeting a motorcycle in the southern border town of Aitaroun. Since the truce took effect on November 27, 2024, Lebanese authorities have documented more than 4,200 Israeli violations, leaving over 230 people dead and 480 wounded, including women and children. Israeli forces also remain stationed at five positions in southern Lebanon.

Israel kills Hezbollah artillery chief in southern Lebanon strike
Shafaq News – Beirut Israel's military confirmed on Thursday it had killed Mohammad Jamal Murad, a senior Hezbollah commander, in an airstrike on the southern Lebanese town of Mansouri. Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon leaves casualties
Shafaq News- BEIRUT An Israeli drone attacked a vehicle in the southern Lebanese town of al-Mansouri on Thursday, causing casualties. Lebanon's Health Ministry reported that the strike killed one person and wounded two others. The attack came as Israeli drones were reported flying over several villages in the Tyre district, in what Lebanese officials described as ongoing airspace violations. There was no immediate response from the Israeli military.
