Foundation set up in Southport victim's name to spread ‘magic'
Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, was killed along with Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and six-year-old Bebe King when Axel Rudakubana, 18, launched his knife attack on a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in the town on July 29 last year.
Her parents Sergio and Alexandra Aguiar told BBC Breakfast on Wednesday they have set up the Alice's WonderDance foundation in their daughter's memory.
Mrs Aguiar said her daughter began dancing when she was 16 or 17-months-old and danced 'non-stop' from then.
She said: 'Alice's WonderDance is a foundation we created in the name of Alice just to show everyone how wonderful Alice was.
'We just want to provide fun for children in the world of dance.'
She said the logo for the charity features ballet shoes and a magic wand to 'spread the magic in her name'.
Money raised could go towards dance classes for after-school clubs, uniforms for children or university funding for young dancers, Mrs Aguiar said.
Mr Aguiar is set to take on six marathons across the world to raise funds, starting in Berlin next month.
He said: 'Every mile I run is for her and her name. I just think about her.'
He ran the London Marathon earlier in the year to raise money for a new playground at Churchtown Primary School, where Alice was a pupil.
The family said they have received support from Elsie's Story and Bebe's Hive – funds set up in memory of the other two victims.
Mr Aguiar said: 'We try to work together like a team, try to help each other.'
Family friend Sarah Buck told the programme the foundation is also selling merchandise, including T-shirts, bags and hats, to raise money.

BBC Breakfast viewers switch off after 'creepy' interview with national treasure
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video It was more a red face than a red sofa on BBC Breakfast this morning, thanks to Only Fools and Horses star Sir David Jason. The 85-year-old sat down with Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt to discuss his illustrious comedy career, during which he couldn't help but get distracted by Naga. Indeed, the legendary actor left a blushing Naga in fits of laughter, with the star clearly finding the TV presenter 'lovely jubbly'.Just as he was about to share an anecdote from his illustrious career, Sir David remarked, 'It's Naga, I just can't keep my eyes off her!' A red-faced Naga then asked the star 'Do you always do as you're told?' After he refused to spill any details about his latest project, saying he was under strict orders to keep it under wraps. Smiling, David said, 'Oh, Naga! Yes, I will, for certain people. Not you, Charlie!' Viewers at home wasted no time sharing their reactions on social media after the interview aired. Some commented that they found the interaction 'creepy' with Gary Robinson writing on X that David was 'nothing short of creepy on @BBCBreakfast this morning – national treasure of not'.One viewer went as far as to post 'Poor old sod…time for a nap I think!' with another referring to Sir David as a 'randy old goat', with a fourth person commenting that 'That piece with David Jason was way too long'. X user Ruth Green commented that 'I enjoy David Jason's work, but I had to switch off the interview as it was so embarrassing. Well done to Naga for being dignified.' However, there was some praise for Sir David, 85, with one X user writing, 'Lovely to see Sir David Jason, a great example of decency, hard work and hilarious TV for decades. A bright spot in this programme today.' Others added that 'Sir David Jason is a legend' and that he was an 'absolute delight' The comedy star clearly only had eyes for Naga, issuing a jaunty 'See you later!' as she was left giggling, leaving her co-star Charlie to wrap up proceedings. As well as entertaining with anecdotes from his 60 years in show business, he was also promoting his forthcoming tour, An Evening With Sir David Jason. More Trending This event will see Sir David reflect on his long career, and he'll be joined by special guests. Sir David made quite the impression from the start on the segment, with Charlie commenting that: 'Can I just describe for the viewers who are watching this morning, you make an entrance. Charlie Stayt reveals what Sir David Jason is REALLY like as he brings up his 'outrageous' behaviour backstage live on BBC Breakfast - before Naga Munchetty is pictured making a stony-faced exit
BBC Breakfast host Charlie Stayt has revealed what Sir David Jason is really like - as he brought up his 'outrageous' behaviour backstage live on the morning news programme. The Only Fools And Horses legend joined Charlie and Naga Munchetty in the studio to look back on his illustrious acting career. And within moments of sitting down for his interview, an emphatic Charlie mentioned the 85-year-old's backstage conduct. 'Very pleased to say Sir David Jason is right here with us on the sofa with us this morning,' Charlie began. He then added: 'Can I just describe for our viewers who are watching this morning - you make an entrance. 'I was quite impressed. As you came into our studio a moment ago, you were saying hello to everyone - you know how to make an entrance.' Taken aback, the Open All Hours star laughed, saying: 'Well it's just that I like to feel comfortable but I like also to, if you can, make the people you're with comfortable. 'The great thing is really to be a little bit outrageous, so everybody is put at ease, it's a bit of fun. 'You know, I said good morning to the camera, and nobody but the camera was there. The camera seemed to like it.' The British star went on to discuss the move from his theatre roots to studio filming, and iconic Only Fools And Horses scenes from over the years. And after the cameras finished rolling, host Naga was pictured making a stony-faced exit as she left the studio. Dressed in a striking orange dress and moody sunglasses, she appeared impassive as she climbed into a taxi. It comes as a fan recently revealed online what David, 85, was really like in person, keen Only Fools viewers jumped at the chance to find out. Only Fools And Horses, the BBC sitcom about two south-east London market trader brothers, won its away into the nation's hearts as soon as it hit our screens in 1981. Created by the inimitable late John Sullivan, it starred Sir David Jason as Derek 'Del Boy' Trotter and Nicholas Lyndhurst as his little brother Rodney. And the pair were joined in Peckham by a host of beloved supporting characters, including Grandad (Lennard Pearce) and Uncle Albert (Buster Merryfield). The fan posted on discussion site Reddit: 'My mate's dad was good friends with David and used to run a B&B in Weston-super-Mare. 'Over the years, 'Uncle David' would pop by now and then and my mate would also see him at family gatherings and events.' David has had an illustrious career outside Only Fools too. He has starred variously in detective series A Touch Of Frost, grocery shop sitcom Open All Hours and fifties-set family life comedy The Darling Buds of May. But it is ambitious Cockney Del Boy, known for his catchphrase, 'This time next year, we'll be millionaires!', who seemed to capture the user's family the most. They continued: 'As you can imagine, whenever he showed up, people couldn't resist asking him to 'do a bit of Del Boy'. 'He always politely declined, until one unforgettable occasion. After a bit of friendly badgering, David finally gave in. 'My mate said he took a deep breath and in that moment, everything about him changed - his posture, his expression, even the way he stood. 'It was like Del Boy had walked into the room. For the next 20 minutes, Del Boy was the life of the party, giving everyone a performance they'd never forget.' Breakfast airs daily on BBC One from 6am and is available to stream on iPlayer
