Is ‘Kin' returning for season 3? Everything we know so far

Alright, Kin fans, let's talk about the big question on everyone's mind: are we getting a third season of this addictive Irish crime drama? The Kinsella family's gritty world of Dublin gangland has us hooked, and after two wild seasons, we're dying to know what's next. So, is Season 3 a sure thing, or are we just wishful thinking? Here's everything floating around out there as of mid-August 2025. Will There Be a Kin Season 3?
No official word yet on Kin Season 3, but don't lose hope! The show's got a lot of buzz, and there's chatter that keeps fans optimistic. Back in September 2024, Emmett J. Scanlan (our boy Jimmy Kinsella) spilled some tea on ITV's This Morning . He said there's no green light yet, but networks are circling like sharks because Season 2 crushed it on BBC iPlayer, landing in the top five shows in February 2024. Scanlan even hinted at a possible 'bidding war' between broadcasters. How's that for juicy?
Rewind to August 2023, and RTÉ, the Irish network that first aired Kin , was all in, saying they're working with global partners to bring it back. But here's the catch: Bron Studios, the main production company, hit a rough patch with a bankruptcy filing in 2023. That's thrown a massive curveball, tying up the show's rights in legal knots. Co-creator Ciaran Donnelly told JOE in December 2024 that they're fighting to sort it out, but it's a messy process with lawyers and all that jazz.
Oh, and another hurdle? The cast's original contracts from 2020 expired after three years. That means getting heavyweights like Charlie Cox (Michael), Clare Dunne (Amanda), and Scanlan back would need new deals. Cox is especially tricky since he's off shooting Daredevil: Born Again . Still, Donnelly and Scanlan are hyped to keep going, with Donnelly saying they originally planned for at least five seasons. Fingers crossed! When Could Kin Season 3 Premiere?
If everything falls into place—rights cleared, cast signed, cameras rolling—when might we get new episodes? Looking at past releases (Season 1 dropped September 2021, Season 2 hit March 2023), a late 2025 or early 2026 premiere seems possible if filming starts by mid-2025. Donnelly mentioned that even with a go-ahead now, production could take 6 to 10 months, so we're likely looking at mid-2026 at the earliest.

The George Payne Located centrally near Plaça Catalunya, this lively Irish pub delivers a genuine match-day atmosphere. With ten 60' screens across two floors, you'll never miss a moment. Known for its long beer list, 'Messi World Class Burger,' fiery chicken wings, and even humorous food challenges like the 'Luis Suárez Big Bite,' this spot turns sports viewing into full-on entertainment. 4. Flaherty's Irish Bar & The Old Irish Pub Also recognized as strong choices in Barcelona's sports bar lineup. Both offer cozy, authentic pub interiors and frequent broadcasts of football, rugby, and more, great for tourists or locals seeking a classic Irish pub vibe. 5. Sonora Sports Tavern Listed among the top sports pubs in the city, Sonora rounds out a solid lineup with its welcoming setting and reliable sports coverage. It's also in an interesting area of the city that is more modern, Poble Nou. 6. Casa de Tapas La Cañota For those seeking a family-friendly, restaurant-style alternative, this Montjuïc gem delivers seafood tapas and burgers, alongside four TV screens to catch Barça matches in a relaxed, but vibrant setting. 7. L'Ovella Negra A rustic, convivial tavern with large spaces, table football, sangria-by-the-pitch-volume vibes, and big screens for match nights. It's a mix of local tradition and festive sports culture. 8. Bar Llopart & Bar Versalles For a more local experience, these neighborhood havens offer an authentic sporting atmosphere with Catalan flair. Bar Llopart in Sants, with its Barça scarves, chants, and budget-friendly beers, attracts true fans. Bar Versalles in Sant Andreu, with historic charm and modernist touches, screens matches amid a genuine community feel. 9. Additional Favorites & Local Tips Travelers and students frequently recommend Irish pubs like Michael Collins, James Joyce, and George Payne as go-to places for casual match watching, even if the concept of a 'sports bar' isn't ingrained in Catalan culture. Others point to a local ambiance, where regular bars simply tune into big games in the background. Final Word Whether you're hunting for craft beers, fiery wings, and big screens (CocoVail), or an adrenaline-charged, challenge-fuelled environment (George Payne), Barcelona offers diverse options. Belushi's and other Irish pubs keep things steady and social. Meanwhile, more traditional locales like Bar Llopart or La Cañota cater to local fans, families, and foodies alike. There's a perfect place in Barcelona for every kind of match-day mood, cheers to that! TIME BUSINESS NEWS

‘Fallout' Season 2 Poster Released; Walton Goggins Teases Tone Of New Season

A new poster for Prime Video's Fallout Season 2 has been released, revealing the season's location and when the show is coming back. Starring Walton Goggins as Cooper Howard/The Ghoul, Ella Purnell as Lucy MacLean, Aaron Moten as Maximus and Kyle MacLachlan as Hank MacLean, Season 1 of Fallout — based on Bethesda Softworks' blockbuster video game series of the same name — was a massive hit on Prime Video in 2024. Created by Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, and executive produced by Jonathan Nolan, Fallout Season 1 was nominated for 16 Primetime Emmy Awards, winning one for Outstanding Music Supervision. The Emmy nominations for Fallout included Outstanding Drama Series, as well as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Goggins. The teaser poster for Fallout Season 2 was published exclusively by IGN on Friday, which shows silhouettes of The Ghoul, Lucy, Maximus and the canine Dogmeat walking in the sandy, deserted environs of the former Las Vegas, now called New Vegas. Go to IGN to see the full version of the poster, which is teased in the image below. While no specific premiere date was released, the teaser poster indicated that Fallout Season 2 was returning in December. Walton Goggins Says 'Fallout' Season 2 'A Mashup' Of Three Sci-Fi Classics During a recent Zoom conversation with Walton Goggins about his recent Doritos Golden Sriracha-flavored comedy film short, A Spicy But Not Too Spicy Plumber, the Cooper Howard/The Ghoul actor teased the upcoming season of Fallout. While Goggins noted that he's not at liberty to talk about anything specific, he's thrilled with what's coming as a fan of everybody else's work on the show in front of and behind the camera. 'Not being a gamer but being a fan of this universe and a fan of this story, man, what we have in the can is a mashup of — and I'm gonna say, this is gonna sound so random — but Indiana Jones meets Doctor Strangelove meets the Star Wars [Cantina], and so far it's surpassed my expectations,' Goggins enthused. Given Goggins's career in both film and television has spanned decades, he's developed a keen sense when a show is firing on all burners. 'I've been around, so I understand the arcs of seasons and understand if Season 1 catches fire, Season 2 should be better … That's when you're really hitting your stride,' Goggins explained. "The critics will have their point of view or whatever, but I can tell you from my perspective, we've hit our stride and we're telling this story in such a subversive way that it's so fun to watch with real consequences. I just can't wait for people to see it.' Goggins, of course, is coming off the success of The Righteous Gemstones, which just ended its four-season run. Goggins also starred in The White Lotus Season 3, which earned multiple Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and an Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series nomination for Goggins. Fallout Season 2 will return to Prime Video in December. Note: Some of the interview quotes in this 'Fallout' Season 2 article have been condensed and edited for clarity.
