Roy Keane takes on fellow cruise passengers who were harassing female DJ
The Man Utd icon told how he was on holiday with wife Theresa when he almost ended up getting into a fight while on the ship Roy Keane 'lays down a marker' with rude passengers on family cruise Roy Keane has revealed how he had to step in and 'put down a marker after four cruise ship passages started hassling a female DJ. The Man Utd icon told how he was on holiday with wife Teresa when he almost ended up getting into a fight while on the ship. Kean told Stick To Football: "I've had a great summer. No tournaments, bit of a break. "I went on a cruise and really enjoyed that. "I did (get annoyed on) the first night. I put a marker down on the first night to a few people. News in 90 Seconds - August 15th "They weren't coming up to me but they were just being rude to other people. "They were just being rude to other people, rude to the woman playing the music and getting aggro with her and I stepped in. "Listen lads calm down, this is a nice boat remember. "But these lads, about four of them who were about the same age as me, maybe a bit older, they were being really rude to this woman DJ and manhandling her. "And I just went over to them and went, 'Lads just calm down,' so I sat down and four of them came across ready to… 'But no I didn't have them, it didn't kick off but it was pretty close." The panel including Gary Neville, Ian Wright, Jamie Carragher and Jill Scott listened open-mouthed to the story When Neville asked how Theresa reacted Keane said: "She wasn't too bad with it. She said they were really rude." Neville then quoted his former United team-mate Keane's comment about "putting a marker down". "It didn't kick off, but it was pretty close. New season, same Roy.' "It's like a pre-season game, Charity Shield, studs down the back of somebody,' Keane joked. "They were still annoying the rest of the week but I kept my distance. "A few nights later I saw them having a few words with this other guy. "I went over to support him a little bit, but it wasn't as bad as I'm kind of making out." Keane has been spending some quality time with his family recently - including his grandkids – as he celebrated his 54th birthday. He recently shared a number of snaps of him playing with the youngsters and relaxing in the swimming pool on Instagram. And Keane will become a grandad again in a few months when his daughter Leah welcomes her baby. Leah and Southampton defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis - who got engaged in Italy last year - announced the news of their pregnancy on social media this week. Leah posted black and white photos of her positive tests, baby bump, and scans alongside Harwood-Bellis in their car. They also shared a video, captioned: 'Half of me, half of you.' The Manchester United legend already has three grandchildren and welcomed his latest in April with a nod at one of his classic punditry lines: 'My new grandson, big baby.'
