Jurassic World Evolution 3 lets you breed dinosaurs and it's out this year
While there have been plenty of games based on Jurassic Park over the years, the best is easily its translation into a management sim in Jurassic World Evolution 2.
Developed by Frontier, the series is basically RollerCoaster Tycoon spun through a Jurassic Park lens, where you have to build a park and keep profits ticking over, while managing the satisfaction of customers and the dinosaurs themselves.
During Summer Game Fest, Frontier announced a third entry in the series, and the key hook this time around is the ability to breed and nurture baby dinosaurs.
As shown in the trailer, Jurassic World Evolution 3 boasts a new breeding system which allows you to house families of dinosaurs within your park. There are over 80 dinosaur species in the sequel, 75 of which players can breed.
The sequel promises a new globe-trotting campaign, with maps spanning from Japan to Hawaii. Jeff Goldblum reprises his role as Dr Ian Malcolm too, after lending his voice to the prior two instalments. There's no word though on whether anyone else from the franchise will return.
As noted in a press release, Jurassic World Evolution 3 features expanded customisation for your parks, with new terrain tools to create mountain peaks and canyons, while texture brushes can help you add extra detail to landscapes.

For the first time in the series, you can share your parks, dinosaur enclosures, and scenery creations with others via the cross-platform Frontier Workshop. More Trending
Jurassic World Evolution 3 is set to launch on October 21 across PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S for £49.99. A deluxe edition, which includes four extra dinosaurs (Protoceratops, Guanlong, Thanatosdrakon, and Concavenator), scenery items, and exclusive ATV vehicle skins, will be available for £64.99.
If you pre-order the sequel, players will receive a Badlands set at launch which includes scenery items inspired by the original Jurassic Park's dig site, along with scenery blueprints from the Montana Badlands, and a Badlands ATV skin for the maintenance crew.
This isn't the only Jurassic Park game in development, with Jurassic Park: Survival also in the works at Saber Interactive. A new film, titled Jurassic World: Rebirth, is set to hit cinemas on July 2, 2025.

Games Inbox: Does it matter that physical video games are dying?
The Tuesday letters page asks how quickly Call Of Duty can change, as one reader asks for help speccing out his custom gaming PC. To join in with the discussions yourself email gamecentral@ Old argument Reading about the super rare Xbox game going for £1,000 the only thing I can think of is… it's not even a very good game. I doubt anyone that's thinking of paying that much for it is doing it because they love the game but just because they enjoy collecting rare things. Which is fine, it's not hurting anyone, but I don't think that's a very normal motivation for most people. I get that people don't want physical copies to go away, and everyone likes collecting something, but the relevance of physical copies went away the second that patches came to consoles. So… somewhere around 2000? After that, what's on the disc became irrelevant, because it's never the final game. In some cases there never is a final game. So really all you're collecting is a keepsake. Personally, I'd just collect posters or action figures or something of the games, at least they're more fun to have in your room. But all this complaining about Switch Game-Key Cards… the argument was lost two decades ago, for better or worse. Cranston Time delay As much as I'd like to see Call Of Duty get some serious competition, I really can't see Battlefield 6 outselling Black Ops 7 straight off the bat. We'll see I guess, but I think the problem is that by the time Activision get round to acknowledging the coemption, which will probably take a while because they're so comfortable, how quickly can changes be made? Call Of Duty games used to take three years to make but I don't think there is any set limit now and that's why everything's got out of order – it's just a rush to get whatever they can out of the door. That's the sort of attitude that Battlefield 6's success might help to prevent but that still means we're talking 2028 at the most before there's any shift in attitude. Will there ever be a year where there isn't a new Call Of Duty, because Activision thought it needed more time in the oven? I doubt it, they'll just puff up some DLC instead, like they did with Modern Warfare 3. Focus The flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long RE: Big Boy Bent. I didn't realise the Dreamcast had such a short lifespan either. I remember selling my console to a friend, then a fortnight later he said to me that Sega had stopped making games for it, which I was genuinely unaware of but at least I'd only charged him £50 for it. It's a shame, as it was a great console with some terrific games. I remember being blown away by the fabulous graphics of the arcade port of the boat racing game Hydro Thunder, but if I had one niggle with the Dreamcast it was the control pads, they were especially poor for beat 'em-ups. The trailers were bad but I can't imagine they were the only reason people stayed away, because the combat was the best thing about the game. Which I guess undermines my point about Mass Effect. I don't really understand that either, as you'd think people would appreciate the alternative an a game that wasn't ultra hard, but here we are. I wouldn't mind if Mass Effect had a bit of a Soulslike about it, but I don't think anyone has really made that concept work with a sci-fi game based on ranged combat before. Perhaps this could be the first but for me, personally I just want it to be like the old Mass Effects but with better graphics. Does that make me shallow? I will run the computer on one screen at a time. My friend is going to put my mechanical 8TB hard drive bought in July 2023 in the new PC and the Blu-ray writer both from my old PC. I don't want a fancy case, just one that does the job and does not fall apart, like the one I bought in 2004 from a different PC vendor. New Lego Batman game will be revealed at Gamescom claims rumour
Batman will receive the Skywalker Saga treatment in his next Lego game according to rumours, and it sounds like it's out this year. It's been three years since Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and while other licensed titles like Lego Fortnite and Lego Horizon Adventures have been released since, there hasn't been any word on a true successor. Developed by Traveller's Tales, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga adapted all nine mainline Star Wars films into one game, with fully explorable planets. It was more expansive and ambitious than previous Lego games, and clearly more time was spent on it than previous games. Past rumours have suggested Harry Potter was next in line for the Skywalker Saga treatment, which did seem to make logical sense, but now an insider claims Batman has usurped the boy wizard as the next major title from the studio. This rumour, which originally popped up last month, via Lego Games News on X, claimed the next Lego game from Traveller's Tales is a 'movie based Batman title that will span multiple movies across the Caped Crusader's career'. It's said the untitled project will be revealed at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19, 2025, before it comes out in 'Q1 2026'. The same account has since posted an update on several other rumoured Lego projects, claiming a Lego Disney and a Guardians Of The Galaxy title have both been cancelled. Meanwhile, the aforementioned Harry Potter Skywalker Saga-style project was apparently in the 'pitch stage' but 'never went past it'. (RUMOR) The next LEGO Game by TT Games is heavily rumored to be a Movie Based Batman title that will span multiple movies across the Caped Crusader's career. It is reported to potentially be revealed next month at Gamescom ONL on August 19th. Release: Q1 2026 — LEGO Games News (@LEGOTtNewsI) July 21, 2025 There's little information on the Lego Batman title but, as it's based on the movies, it's said it will be 'not connected' to the prior trilogy of games which had their own original stories. That trilogy concluded with 2014's Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, which turned into more of a general DC Comics crossover. There have been actual Lego sets based on everything from The Animated Series and the classic 60s TV show starring Adam West, to the Nolan movies and recently a new one for Batman Forever. More Trending Considering the amount of work that went into the Skywalker Saga it seems reasonable to imagine the 60s movie spin-off, Batman '89, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Batman v Superman, and The Batman will all be featured. A Lego Batman game based on the movies could go meta too, via 2017's The Lego Batman Movie, so maybe Will Arnett will make a voice cameo in some capacity. We'd also hope for some nods towards Mask of the Phantasm, if not a full adapation. As ever with rumours, it's worth taking this with a pinch of salt, but it certainly sounds like a good excuse to make a new Batman game, without going over all ground. NBA 2K25 player spends £24,000 on microtransactions: 'It's not worth it'
A fan has revealed how much he spent on in-game currency in NBA 2K25, as he warns others about following in his footsteps. Free-to-play games have paved the way for predatory microtransactions in a litany of titles, and while it's easy to blame companies for enabling these practices, sometimes you have to turn the mirror on ordinary players. Microtransactions are often associated with skin cosmetics in titles like Fortnite, but there are plenty in full priced games too – especially sports games like EA Sports FC 25, which still uses what are essentially loot boxes for the Ultimate Team mode. These virtual collectible cards are prevalent in other sports games like NBA 2K25, and for one player they've cost him upwards of $32,000. In a video posted on his channel, YouTuber 2KOG breaks down his transaction history in NBA 2K25 over the past year. Within 11 months from September 4, 2024 to August 5, 2025, he claims to have spent $32,831,68 (£24,384) on the basketball sim. As seen in the video, the bulk of these transactions have gone towards virtual in-game currency for MyTeam cards – NBA 2K's equivalent of Ultimate Team – along with season passes. 2KOG isn't proud of this number though, and clarifies he's in an unusual position where he can afford to spend this amount of money. 'Most of you know I have a normal 9-5 type job, I also own my own business,' he said in the clip. 'And I do make a little bit of money off of doing these YouTube videos, so my situation is probably a lot different to most people who watch and play the game.' Despite his financial position though, 2KOG warned others from investing this amount of money into a game. 'It's absolutely not worth it,' he added. 'Even if I was breaking even [through YouTube videos], that's still a lot of resources that were put into this.' Incredibly, despite spending over £24,000, he still doesn't have all the cards available in NBA 2K25 , due to the amount of duplicates he's pulled from packs. More Trending 'I should have pretty much every card in the game, and I don't,' he added. 'And all I can do is sit here and think about how much money I've wasted. 'I did create a [YouTube] channel but it paid me a tenth of what I spent. So there's no way anyone can tell me it was worth it.' 2KOG's financial woes have since gone viral on X. At the time of writing, 2KOG's YouTube channel dedicated to NBA 2K25, which he started a year ago, has 3,5000 subscribers. If you need another reason why spending this amount of money on NBA 2K is a waste of time, none of these purchases will carry over to the series' next instalment, NBA 2K26, which is set to come out on September 6, 2025.
