Austin Reaves' overall rating for NBA 2K26 has been revealed
There is no doubt that Austin Reaves is a rising stud in the NBA. The Los Angeles Lakers guard has gone from a nice complementary player to a borderline All-Star-caliber player over the last couple of years, and some seem to think he still has one or two higher gears he can shift his game to. Last season, he averaged 20.2 points and 5.8 assists a game while shooting 46% from the field and 37.7% from 3-point range. In March and April, with Luka Doncic taking some pressure off of him, he elevated his production to 23.3 points per game on 49% overall shooting and 41.1% from downtown during the final 20 contests of the regular season. The player ratings for NBA 2K26 are starting to be unveiled, and Reaves' overall rating of 85 ranked 49th. While Reaves played below his standards during the Lakers' five-game loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs, many aren't concerned that it could be a sign of things to come. He has clearly been on an upward trajectory ever since entering the NBA as an undrafted player in 2021, and there aren't any signs that his production last season was any type of fluke. He can opt out of his contract next summer and become a free agent, and it is believed he will seek a new contract that would pay him at least $30 million a year. Nonetheless, there seems to be a quiet confidence that he will remain with the Purple and Gold, especially since it has been reported that both sides are motivated to work out a deal.
