Reality TV legend Jiggly Caliente dead days after losing leg
RuPaul's Drag Race star Jiggly Caliente has died following a leg amputation. She was 44.
Last night, Caliente's family released a statement on her Instagram page, announcing her shocking death.
'It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Bianca Castro-Arabejo, known to the world and cherished by many as Jiggly Caliente,' they wrote.
'Bianca passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at 4:42am, surrounded by her loving family and close friends.'
Caliente's relatives said she was a 'luminous presence in the worlds of entertainment and advocacy' and was 'celebrated for her infectious energy, fierce wit, and unwavering authenticity.'
'She touched countless lives through her artistry, activism, and the genuine connection she fostered with fans around the world,' they added.
'Her legacy is one of love, courage, and light. Though her physical presence is gone, the joy she shared and the space she helped create for so many will remain forever. She will be deeply missed, always loved, and eternally remembered.'
Several RuPaul's Drag Race stars took to Caliente's comments with touching words after her passing.
'One of the most kindest, sweetest souls I've ever met. I'm gonna miss you beautiful. Thank you for always being so lovely. Rest easy legend. Sending your family so much love right now,' wrote drag performer Baga Chipz.
'Auntie we will miss you and carry your love for eternity! Fly high,' added Kerri Colby.
'Love and light to family and friends. I love you Jiggly. Thank you for so many laughs,' commented Mrs. Kasha Davis.
Last week, Caliente's family announced on Instagram that she was hospitalised with a 'severe infection' that required 'most of her right leg' to be removed.
Due to the reality star's amputation, her family announced that she would not be appearing on RuPaul's Drag Race Philippines for the upcoming season, nor would she be 'participating in any public engagements for the foreseeable future.'
'At this time, we kindly ask for privacy for Bianca and her family as they navigate this difficult journey together,' the statement continued.
'Bianca's family and drag house are deeply grateful for the continued outpouring of support, strength, and prayers.'
In 2012, Caliente came in eighth place on RuPaul's Drag Race.
The Pose actress was then tapped as one of 13 queens to participate in Season 6 of RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars in 2021. She placed 12th overall after being eliminated in the second episode.
In 2022, Caliente became an official judge on RuPaul's Drag Race Philippines.

Claudia Winkleman uses chunky shoes and oversized bags to 'feel powerful'
Claudia Winkleman uses chunky shoes and oversized bags to help her "feel powerful". 'The Traitors' presenter has revealed she uses large accessories help her feel "a bit more in charge" in her daily life - admitting they give her little "boosts of power" that make her feel more confident. In a column for The Times newspaper, she wrote: "Sometimes (not often) I like to feel just a little bit powerful. I'm not a total turd, so please don't roll your eyes ... "What I'm talking about is tiny, incremental, life-affirming boosts of power. When we need to feel strong, a touch 'warrior' and a bit more in charge ... " Claudia went on to reveal that although she does like a stiletto heel, she's happier in a chunky shoe, adding: "If it's a stable and forceful look we're after, then we're going to need some heft in our heel." She listed Saint Laurent's Bianca platform shoes - which retail for £815 - as a favourite along with the Hoof boots by Alexander McQueen, which cost just under £2,000. Claudia also likes to keep her bags oversized, adding: "It goes without saying that your bag has to be big and confident. "It's saying: 'I've got stuff in here that might save the world/I've been to an extraordinary conference/Does your kid need stickers, an organic olive or pastel hair chalk?' "We need to feel pretty Mary Poppins if we are going to have swagger. What's in here? Oh, just a few Booker prizewinning novels, a live otter and a lampshade." Claudia's favourites are The Row's Margaux - which sells for around £5,000 - and Chloe's Camera Bag. She added of her jewellery choices: "Jewellery-wise, your look has to be equally forthright. It must be heavy (if it weighs less than a meerkat, it's a no from me). "And it always, always has to be gold. Think the A-Team's BA Baracus rather than dainty, and preferably without diamonds (diamonds are suddenly naff — sorry about that)." Claudia confessed her favourite Burberry necklace "weighs more than my kitchen" but insisted a chunky gold piece looks great with a white shirt or a black top with a round neck.

What are the Pope Games? Inside TikTok's conclave obsession
The ritual of the papal conclave is solemn business shrouded in secrecy. The process to elect the spiritual leader of the Catholic Church involves confiscated phones, blacked-out windows and high-stakes diplomacy – which also makes it perfect fodder for social media obsession and instant memeification. In the days since Pope Francis passed away, award-winning film Conclave's viewership has surged by 283 per cent. However, social media has taken a more... creative approach. 'Catholic Superbowl tomorrow,' one TikTok user declared on a video with more than half a million views. 'Day one of the Pope Games is complete,' another creator narrated to their 2.6 million followers. 'One hundred thirty-three of these singles have entered the villa, no technology or contact with the outside world, leaving the ring light at the door, losing their Duolingo streaks. Here's all the messy drama that went down before the conclave and what we can look forward to.' Comparing a centuries-old process to reality shows like Big Brother or RuPaul's Drag Race or even the NFL draft are among the many viral conclave-driven memes saturating the internet.
