Food fest spices up tourism campaign

THE public enjoyed a vibrant blend of various cuisines at the four-day Selangor Mega Food Festival which took place at Dataran Kemerdekaan in Shah Alam, Selangor, earlier this month. Worker at a stall selling Mexican street food preparing the Mozarella Birria Tacos. From Mexican tacos to Arabian desserts and Italian lasagna, the various food items from different countries and cultures around the world offered visitors plenty of choices to satisfy their taste for exotic flavours. Food stall staff, in Javanese traditional attire, offering servings of Javanese traditional dessert at the food festival. Local favourites such as nasi kerabu, pau and cempedak fritters further enriched the visitors' experience at the event, which featured more than 100 food stalls. Besides the fun of exploring meal options, visitors also took hot air balloon rides that were among the key attractions at the festival. A child and his father enjoying the 'Dragon's Breath', a dessert containing liquid nitrogen and served in a cup at the food festival. Families spent quality time enjoying the activities and atmosphere at the festival and capturing the memories of sweet moments, using smartphones.
