Gucci's 'summery' perfume that brings in 'lots of compliments' launches on LookFantastic
Gucci's Flora range has been a massive hit with floral fragrance fans for years and there's now a new addition to the line-up. Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Intense Eau de Parfum has officially launched today (July 16) on LookFantastic with the price starting at £74.
It opens up with bright and fruity mandarin orange before settling into a heart of namesake gardenia and hedione then softens into a sandalwood base. The intense perfume is expected to have a stronger longevity and sillage.
When buying on LookFantastic the perfume comes with a Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Intense Mini Bundle that includes a small bottle of the perfume, a toiletries bag, and what appears to be a small compact. There are three sizes available: 30ml (£74), 50ml (£103) and 100ml (£145).
The fruity floral combination should be popular for fans of Calvin Klein's Euphoria, £34.99 for 100ml, who are looking for something longer-lasting. Those who were intrigued by La Vie Est Belle Intensément by Lancôme, £74 for 50ml, and aren't crazy about vanilla will also like this scent.
There aren't any reviews yet for the new Gucci scent on LookFantastic, however Selfridges has pulled in just shy of 100 reviews with an average rating of 4.8. One shopper said: "Lovely summery scent, really fruity but not overpowering. Scent lasted all day, and I received lots of compliments whilst wearing it. It's definitely something I'm going to buy again."
Another was impressed by the versatility of the scent, writing: "I'm very impressed with this perfume by Gucci! The scent is beautiful - flowery, strong and feminine. Great for both day & night all year around and it is long lasting. I would definitely recommend this perfume to every woman!"
One shopper was disappointed by the sandalwood note, writing: "This particular Gucci is nice and strong smell wise and lasts for most of the day. I'm not 100% on the smell, as seems more sandalwoody to me than anything else."
It is worth noting that base notes linger for the longest amount of time in any perfume and reapplication or layering is recommended to keep top notes around.
Another shopper insisted the scent would guarantee compliments, penning: "This Gucci perfume is stunning and encapsulates everything feminine. The perfect balance of floral and sweet. What more could you want?! Be prepared to receive compliments!"

And another agreed: 'This is really high quality perfume. It lasts all day and a little goes a long way.
