Judge ‘not competent' to write verdict,Alld HC sends him for 3-mnth training

Kanpur Nagar
be sent to the
judicial training
institute for three months of training.
Justice Neeraj Tiwari passed the order while allowing a writ petition filed by one Munni Devi of Kanpur Nagar when her plea to add some additional grounds in a
tenancy dispute
was rejected.
The petitioner assailing the impugned order submitted that the additional district judge arbitrarily dismissed the amendment application in a three-line order without going into the merit of the issue.
The petitioner further submitted that not a single line has been written as to why the amendment application was rejected.

The petitioner alleged that earlier too the same judge had committed a similar mistake.
After going through the impugned order, the high court in its order dated April 22 said: "This court is of the firm view that Amit Verma, the additional district judge, Kanpur Nagar, is not competent to write a judgment. Therefore, he must be sent for training for at least three months at the Judicial Training and Research Institute, Lucknow."

51,133 suspects in serious crimes held in last 7 mnths: Police report
Patna: Detailing its law enforcement operations from Jan 1 to July 20, the Bihar police department released a comprehensive report on Wednesday, according to which 51,133 suspects involved in serious crimes like murder, dacoity, robbery, rape, SC/ST Act violations and kidnapping have been arrested. Besides, 5,059 arrests were made in cases related to communal violence, attacks on police, mob violence and celebratory firing. Police also recovered 2,369 weapons and 11,958 rounds of ammunition in the same period, according to the data. This apart, the department's special drives resulted in collection of fines worth Rs 14.67 crore after checking of 8,03,936 vehicles, said the report. According to the comprehensive report, police identified 1,289 criminals involved in property-related crimes under Section 107 of the BNSS, with court proposals filed against 306 individuals for property confiscation. The department also implemented preventive measures under sections 126 and 135 of the BNSS, affecting 6,40,707 individuals, with bond proceedings initiated against 1,33,561 people. The department also executed 34,853 proclamation and 19,737 attachment orders. Police said public grievance redressal remained a priority, with director general of police Vinay Kumar conducting daily public hearings. The department processed 29,983 complaints through various channels, ensuring timely action and resolution. A significant achievement was recorded in warrant execution, with the completion of 1,88,914 summons, 1,43,345 bailable warrants and 1,58,441 non-bailable warrants, said police. Patiala cops demolish drug trafficker's illegal house
1 2 Patiala: As part of its intensified anti-drug campaign, Patiala police on Tuesday demolished an unauthorised house built by the family of a notorious female drug trafficker on government land in Rorikutt Mohalla, a locality identified as a drug hotspot. Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Varun Sharma confirmed that the family had been involved in 26 cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The illegal structure was constructed by Seema, her husband Sompal, and other family members on land belonging to the public works department. SSP Sharma said that Seema alone faces 16 NDPS cases, Sompal has four, and Seema's mother-in-law is named in approximately six cases. The department concerned had requested police assistance to remove the encroachment, and security was provided during the demolition. Under the Punjab government's 'War Against Drugs' campaign, SSP Sharma said the action sends a strong message to drug traffickers to abandon the illegal trade and choose a better path.
