Married At First Sight's Michael Brunelli gives shock update about relationship with Martha Kalifatidis: 'Things have been heavy lately'
Married At First Sight's Michael Brunelli has given fans a glimpse into his day-to-day life with Martha Kalifatidis - and it's not all sunshine and rainbows.
The fan-favourite MAFS couple, who met on the sixth season in 2019 and have been together ever since, are regularly transparent about their life on social media, however Michael's recent post shed a raw light on the pair's reality post-show.
The fitness trainer shared a clip to Instagram on Monday showing his and Martha's recent trip to Byron Bay for her birthday, along with their two-year-old son Lucius.
In the voiceover for the video, the dad gushed about how much his fiancée does for their family-of-three.
'Martha carries a lot, for me, for Looch, for everyone around her. She doesn't complain, she just keeps going even when she probably shouldn't have to,' he said.

He went on to highlight some of the couple's 'heavy' moments that have weighed on him recently, leading to their decision to take a break from their day-to-day.
'The truth is things have been heavy lately. We've been juggling work, parenting, pressure like everyone else.'
'Some days feel like we're running in opposite directions. Snapping more, laughing less. So for her birthday we decided to stop, not run away, just step out of the noise.'
Michael then shared details about their trip on the Eastern Coast and how it reminded the couple about 'what matters'.
'We cooked, we swam, we talked about everything and nothing at all.
'It didn't fix all the stress but it reminded us of what matters. We made a memory that will outlast any present. So happy birthday babe, I love you always and thank you for everything.'
It comes after Michael shared an emotional update with fans, opening up about the personal toll that parenthood and pressure have taken on his mental and physical well-being.
The former MAFS groom revealed in a raw Instagram post that despite loving life as a dad to two-year-old son Lucius, he no longer recognises the person he's become.
'As cliché as it sounds, I looked in the mirror today and barely recognised the guy looking back,' he began in his vulnerable message, adding, 'Not because there's anything seriously wrong with me, but I finally accepted that I'm not where I should be… physically and mentally.'
Michael admitted that he's been stuck in survival mode and has neglected his own health and happiness while focusing on being a parent.
'My gym bag has dust on it, the veggies in the fridge are untouched, and the steps haven't cracked 10,000 in months,' he said. 'It's like I'm physically here, but in a thousand other places mentally.'
While he's struggling behind the scenes, Michael made it clear that fatherhood remains his proudest role.
'Being a dad is a massive part of my purpose,' he said. 'But somewhere in the life noise, the pressure, the lack of sleep, the negative thoughts… I stopped being much else.'

Hamish Blake's chilli eating contest ends in tears on Lego Masters Australia
A last minute food challenge ended in tears for Lego Masters host Hamish Blake during Monday's episode of the quirky game show. The 43-year-old funnyman persuaded Team China 's Dai and Jiayuan to a chilli eating contest. However, after just a few bites of the large spicy vegetable Hamish was left short of breath. He was barely able to choke out his comments while he watched Dai and Jiayun built their 'Chilli Girl' Lego model. Meanwhile, the Team China contestants were able to eat the chilli, without any adverse reaction at all, as Hamish drank milk to soothe his palette. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'I'm not very good with spicy. At Nando's I always have Lemon and Herb,' Hamish choked, in reference to the famous peri-peri chicken brand. 'I have personally learned that you should not do a chilli eating contest against a woman from the Sichuan Province of China,' he confessed. It comes after Hamish cut a casual figure when he stepped out to attend the 2025 Logie Award nominations in Sydney on Monday. The fan favourite host embraced quiet luxury in an A.P.C. 'Edward' jersey sweater that retails for a whopping $650. The TV veteran completed his low-key winter look with khaki slacks and crisp white trainers, and a cheeky grin. And Hamish had a lot to smile about. The beloved comedian has once again been nominated for the coveted Gold Logie, after taking home the gong in 2012 for Hamish and Andy's Gap Year and in 2022 for Lego Masters. Lynne McGranger, 72, who played Irene Roberts on the soap opera Home and Away for over 33 years, also earned a Gold Logie nomination. Also nominated for the number one gong is A Current Affair's Ally Langdon, 46, who won Best News or Public Affairs Presenter last year. Former ABC News Breakfast presenter Lisa Millar, 56, is also in the running for the top prize for her work on Backroads and Muster Dogs. MasterChef Australia's Poh Ling Yeow, 51, also scored a nomination, after speculation that she may be stepping back from the beloved cooking show. Julia Morris, 57, is set to battle it out for the Gold Logie too after hosting Network 10's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in South Africa alongside conservationist Robert Irwin. Completing the list of nominations is Dancing With The Stars' Sonia Kruger, 59, who is up for the number one gong again, after nabbing a Gold Logie back in 2023. Ray Martin, 80, who has made a name for himself on programs such as 60 Minutes, A Current Affair and Four Corners, also came out on tops in the Logie nominations on Monday. The five-time Gold Logie winner is set to join Graham Kennedy and Bert Newton with an award named in his honour, crowning Most Popular News or Public Affairs Presenter at the Aussie awards. The 65th TV WEEK Logie Awards nominees were announced on Monday in the Yallamundi Rooms at the Sydney Opera House, highlighting the very best of TV talent in Australia. Voting will open for all awards from 9am on Monday June 16 and remain open until 7pm on Friday August 1. The ceremony will be available to watch on Seven and 7Plus.

Sofia Richie breaks silence on claims husband Elliot Grainge cheated on her after birth of first child
Sofia Richie has broken silence on claims that her husband Elliot Grainge cheated on her. The media personality, 26 - who recently enjoyed a rare family outing with Grainge and their baby girl - addressed the viral allegations by sharing a clip to her TikTok account. She was joined by the record executive, 31, as they read through comments about him allegedly having an affair. The mom-of-one filmed herself listening to Grainge as he listed some of the 'mean' comments as he laid next to her on a bed. 'Get that coin, sis,' Elliot read out loud, prompting Sofia to let out a small laugh. He then continued with, 'Why wouldn't she want to be single again?' and 'They got married?' Another was, 'She already secured the baby. Sofia has a rich dad as well, she should divorce him and take his child support money.' As Richie laughed once again while her husband read the comment, Grainge quietly added to his wife, 'Don't do that Soph.' Elliot then read another and said, 'That? Cheating on her?' - causing them both to agree the comment was 'mean.' Sofia panned the camera back to her and after a few moments passed, her husband questioned, 'What am I? Shrek?' In the caption of the post, the daughter of Lionel Richie penned to her followers: 'I had to break it to my husband that he's not the peoples princess.' Social media users jumped to the comment section on the star's TikTok to offer their support to the couple. One penned, 'Best way to silence haters,' while another typed, 'Changing my dating app bio to "looking for an Elliot Grainge."' 'People honestly forgot how hurtful the things they say can be. That's terrible, poor dude,' a fan wrote. One shared, 'NOW this is a way that we should be clearing up rumors every single time. I love this,' and another added, 'Never doubted this man! He loves her, people are weird.' 'Real ones love Elliot and know he treats you like a queen,' one TikTok user penned, which also garnered a like from Sofia. Another was, 'She already secured the baby. Sofia has a rich dad as well, she should divorce him and take his child support money' As Richie laughed once again as her husband read the comment, Grainge then quietly added to his wife, 'Don't do that Soph' 'People honestly forgot how hurtful the things they say can be. That's terrible, poor dude,' a fan wrote A fan commented, 'What a way to respond,' while one added, 'Ugh please let this type of love attack me.' Back in 2021, it was confirmed that Sofia was dating Elliot - who is the son of CEO of Universal Music Group Lucian Grainge. The following year, he popped the big question during a romantic proposal during a getaway to Hawaii. In April 2023, Sofia walked down the aisle and the couple said 'I do' during a ceremony that took place in the south of France. The nuptials went viral on social media when the beauty launched her TikTok only days before the big day - and drew massive attention for its 'quiet luxury.' During an interview with L'Officiel, the star opened up about the following she garnered not long after joining TikTok. She currently boasts nearly 4 million followers on TikTok, and 11 million on Instagram. 'I've never expected to get any positive feedback from social media,' she told the outlet. 'My happiness doesn't depend on social media feedback, and I feel like I protected my mental health in that way throughout the years of being in the spotlight.' Sofia added, 'It was shocking for me to see such positive feedback, and it really put a smile on my face. It made me feel like, "Wow, there are kind people out there."' When it comes to using her social media accounts - especially TikTok - the star explained, 'I truly try to stay true to myself and my brand, and I honestly use TikTok like I'm talking to my friends. I'm just having fun. 'I don't want people to feel like I'm leading them to buy everything under the moon because I'm getting paid.' And while talking to Who What Wear in 2023, she reflected on launching her TikTok page to document the days leading up to her wedding. 'My friends were like, "How cool would it be if you started a TikTok and showed people in real time what was happening?" I thought, "You know what? That's so refreshing, and that's a great idea."' Sofia then jokingly revealed, 'I actually feel like a grandma on TikTok. Fun fact: I don't even know how to edit a video.' The star later expressed, 'The content that I created around my wedding was organic, and I wasn't pushing anything or hiding anything waiting for a magazine to publish. I was just being myself and letting people live through it with me in real time.' Sofia has been keeping busy and recently jumped to Instagram shortly after addressing the cheating allegations. Both she and Elliot recently enjoyed a getaway to the French Riviera to attend a wedding. Their baby girl Eloise - who celebrated her first birthday last month in May - also joined her parents for the trip Richie uploaded a series of snaps, including one where she and her husband were dressed to the nines and shared a loving kiss underneath the warm sunshine. The star wore a sleeveless, vibrant blue gown that was held up with halter-styled straps and Grainge sported a classic black tuxedo. Their baby girl Eloise - who celebrated her first birthday last month in May - also joined her parents for the trip. Sofia shared additional pictures that were taken over Father's Day weekend as they spent time at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, where both she and Elliot tied the knot two years earlier.
