Hamish Blake's chilli eating contest ends in tears on Lego Masters Australia
A last minute food challenge ended in tears for Lego Masters host Hamish Blake during Monday's episode of the quirky game show.
The 43-year-old funnyman persuaded Team China 's Dai and Jiayuan to a chilli eating contest.
However, after just a few bites of the large spicy vegetable Hamish was left short of breath.
He was barely able to choke out his comments while he watched Dai and Jiayun built their 'Chilli Girl' Lego model.
Meanwhile, the Team China contestants were able to eat the chilli, without any adverse reaction at all, as Hamish drank milk to soothe his palette.

'I'm not very good with spicy. At Nando's I always have Lemon and Herb,' Hamish choked, in reference to the famous peri-peri chicken brand.
'I have personally learned that you should not do a chilli eating contest against a woman from the Sichuan Province of China,' he confessed.
It comes after Hamish cut a casual figure when he stepped out to attend the 2025 Logie Award nominations in Sydney on Monday.
The fan favourite host embraced quiet luxury in an A.P.C. 'Edward' jersey sweater that retails for a whopping $650.
The TV veteran completed his low-key winter look with khaki slacks and crisp white trainers, and a cheeky grin.
And Hamish had a lot to smile about.
The beloved comedian has once again been nominated for the coveted Gold Logie, after taking home the gong in 2012 for Hamish and Andy's Gap Year and in 2022 for Lego Masters.
Lynne McGranger, 72, who played Irene Roberts on the soap opera Home and Away for over 33 years, also earned a Gold Logie nomination.
Also nominated for the number one gong is A Current Affair's Ally Langdon, 46, who won Best News or Public Affairs Presenter last year.
Former ABC News Breakfast presenter Lisa Millar, 56, is also in the running for the top prize for her work on Backroads and Muster Dogs.
MasterChef Australia's Poh Ling Yeow, 51, also scored a nomination, after speculation that she may be stepping back from the beloved cooking show.
Julia Morris, 57, is set to battle it out for the Gold Logie too after hosting Network 10's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in South Africa alongside conservationist Robert Irwin.
Completing the list of nominations is Dancing With The Stars' Sonia Kruger, 59, who is up for the number one gong again, after nabbing a Gold Logie back in 2023.
Ray Martin, 80, who has made a name for himself on programs such as 60 Minutes, A Current Affair and Four Corners, also came out on tops in the Logie nominations on Monday.
The five-time Gold Logie winner is set to join Graham Kennedy and Bert Newton with an award named in his honour, crowning Most Popular News or Public Affairs Presenter at the Aussie awards.
The 65th TV WEEK Logie Awards nominees were announced on Monday in the Yallamundi Rooms at the Sydney Opera House, highlighting the very best of TV talent in Australia.
Voting will open for all awards from 9am on Monday June 16 and remain open until 7pm on Friday August 1.
The ceremony will be available to watch on Seven and 7Plus.

Abbie Chatfield mocked by cruel trolls for returning to social media in days after announcing a month long break following 'horrible year'
has returned to social media just days after breaking down in tears and announcing a month long break. The podcaster had resurfaced, posting a fun video in which she and boyfriend Adam Hyde were dancing together before attending a wedding. 'Wedding time!!!! With my angel' the 29-year-old podcaster captioned the energetic clip. Some of her followers were unimpressed to see Abbie back so quickly after her breakdown and shared their thoughts in her comments. 'Short break from socials. Crying in a car, nek minute uploading a video dancing in a hotel. The level of contradiction is sending me' one person wrote. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'I thought you weren't posting for a month?' another person asked. 'The social media break didn't happen. Here you are again, just no tears this time' one more commented. 'What happened to leaving socials? Couldn't even last a day hahahaha' another said. 'So we not taking a break, another attention seeking move' commented yet one more. Others were very supportive, with several pointing out that Abbie specified her break would not start till later in the week. 'Love this! Glad you give zero f**ks about your daily jellly haters and still show up! No flies on you my babe' one said. Another wrote: 'You guys are stunning and your energy is beautiful'. Abbie post comes days after she revealed that she is taking a break from social media after what she says has been a 'horrible year.' The influencer shared an expansive and emotional video to TikTok in which she outlined the reasoning behind her decision. She said that 'endless trolling' from 'right-wing freaks' had finally reached breaking point and that she needs time away from social media to 'protect her brain.' Over the next four weeks, Abbie's social media feeds will only feature pre-recorded clips for her It's A Lot Podcast. 'For the next month, I'm not going to be posting on social media at all except for pre-scheduled content for the podcast,' she revealed. 'I really need time off from the internet - like desperately.' Giving followers an insight into the level of trolling, Abbie said that the amount of abuse she receives online was 'endless'. 'It's been really horrific this past six months with the amount of violent trolling that I have received,' she said. 'It's hundreds of messages a day. It's really traumatising and I don't like saying that because I know that trolls want to hurt me. 'Ever since the end of last year the trolling has become increasingly violent and aggressive from people that don't like me. It's day, every day.' Abbie continued: 'Just imagine if every single day you received a hundred texts saying that people were going to SA [sexually assault] you, people want to be violent towards you, people hate you. 'I cant even enjoy TikTok because my for you page is videos about me - people making fun of me.' She also claimed that the vitriol had gotten so bad over the past year that she has even experienced suicidal ideation. 'I haven't really gone a day in the past eight months without having thoughts of un-aliving myself so, I really need a break because, when I get to have a day off without my phone, I'm able to get back to being normal,' Abbie tearfully admitted. 'I'm sick of being lied about, I'm sick of being attacked by right wing freaks and losers.' Abbie also revealed that she was currently in the process of writing a book - a process made almost impossible when coupled with the emotional drain of dealing with internet trolls. 'I've decided to put in like a boundary for myself to protect my brain because it's been extraordinarily difficult this year and it's incredibly exhausting,' she said. 'I'm also writing a book right now and, in order to write the book I need to be mentally clear because the constant criticism I receive makes me paralysed to write or actually do anything because I believe I am what everyone says I am.' Abbie's emotional admission comes after her online rival Clementine Ford defended Abbie amid their ongoing internet stoush. The pair have been exchanging barbs for weeks after Clementine accused Abbie of profiting from the 'performance of being politically engaged'. However, the pair have appeared to have found some common ground, with Clementine defending Abbie in an explosive response to an online troll. She shared an image to her Instagram story on Thursday that showed a very off-colour remark by a troll account called 'Right Of Centre'. The comment read: 'Two ugly xx trolls. Men should not help them at all. 'If they're being mugged they're not worth it - too ugly - only good looking nice women deserve chivalry on any level.' Clementine responded swiftly, slamming the commenter as an 'incel creep'. 'Regardless of my views on AC [Abbie Chatfield], I'm pretty sure neither of us need or have ever needed nor have ever asked for men to help us - especially not weird little incel creeps who blame women for their basement position on the male hierarchy,' she said. 'F*** off, loser. We both know you would p*** your pants in fear if one of us even looked in your direction.' Abbie and Clementine's feud began when the latter wrote on her 'Dear Clementine' blog on Substack that some influencers, like Abbie, profit from the 'performance of being politically engaged' while criticising anyone who disagrees with them. How to avoid falling for a Man Child on the dating scene & the tell-tale sign you're already seeing one without knowing
THE dating world is hard to navigate as it is, with more apps than anyone could know what to do with, ghosting, red flags and more. Now, the term 'Man Child' has been thrown in there too, as Sabrina Carpenter's latest single has singletons calling out their ex flames. 2 2 The term describes a man who acts like a child in a relationship, or just in general. That includes emotionally immature men who can't, or won't, give their partner support. They might be immature, unreliable and irresponsible, leaving you to pick up their slack - the last thing you want in a long term commitment. Luckily, dating app Hily relationship expert Dr. Marisa T. Cohen, PhD, shared with the Daily Mail the tell-tale signs to be on the lookout for if you're either trying to avoid dating a Man Child, or wondering if you're already seeing one. According to the pro, one easy way to figure out a person's emotional maturity is to pay attention to how they handle conflict in different areas of their life. 'Their answer can tell you a lot — like if they're self-aware, whether they stick it out when things get rough, and how well they keep their cool (or not)," Marisa explained. Another indicator if a potential lover is a Man Child or not is if they did the work on themselves by going to therapy and learning skills to regulate their emotions. 'You'll get a sense of what they need, how they handle things, and maybe even how they deal with stress or think about mental health,' the expert explained. Another good was is to ask your potential suitor what they're most proud of in their life. This way, the pro explained, you can hear about their big wins and how they "handled any curveballs along the way." Love Island fans call Islander a 'red flag' as he makes shock dating admission It's pretty normal to talk about past relationships when getting to know someone you might be romantically interested in, but avoiding basic questions is the key to really getting to know someone. Instead of asking when their last relationship was, for example, the dating pro suggested asking what they learned from it. 'Basically, you're seeing if they've taken time to reflect, process the ups and downs, and figure out how to do better next time,' the expert said. According to VeryWellMind, if your man doesn't help around the house you should be on high alert. "If asked to help with chores, an immature person might respond petulantly. "They might need to be bribed or demand compensation for performing tasks that are simply a routine part of keeping a home and functioning as a responsible adult." Not only that, put their partner might need to remind them to shower, brush their teeth and perform basic hygiene tasks. If a man is acting like Peter Pan, you could easily fall into the trap of being his Wendy, meaning you could end up unconsciously encouraging his behaviour by acting like his mum. You might even enjoy being able to comfort and look after him in the early days of the relationship, the pros noted. "Initially, you might have felt attracted to and enjoyed these aspects of your partner's personality. "As your relationship progressed (perhaps even to marriage), however, you might have become exhausted by, or even resentful of, your partner's immature behaviour." 15 Relationship red flags to look out for Red flags are warning signs that indicate unhealthy or manipulative behaviour. When you encounter relationship red flags, it's a good time to pause and reflect on the dynamic you really share with that person. Overly controlling behaviour Lack of trust Feeling low self-esteem Physical, emotional, or mental abuse Substance abuse Narcissism Anger management issues Codependency Inability to resolve conflict Constant jealousy Gaslighting Lack of emotional intelligence Negatively affecting your relationship with family and friends Inability to communicate openly Lack of social connection or friends For more advice and support, Relate is available: "Whether it's your relationship with a partner, a child, a family member or anyone else - we help everyone to build better relationships."
