Hezbollah Command May Never Relinquish Power: Defense Strategy to Be Discussed with Lebanon's Defenders Exclusively

Al Manar17-04-2025

Member of Loyalty to Resistance Bloc MP Hasan Fadlallah indicated that the Israeli enemy benefits from the Lebanese state weakness to continue its attacks on Lebanon and claim more casualties, adding that the ceasefire agreement imposes on the Zionists to stop their violations of Lebanon's sovereignty.
The Israeli enemy continued on Thursday violating the Lebanese sovereignty and the UN Resolution 1701, disregarding the ceasefire monitor committee which has so far failed to stop the Zionist attacks.
Addressing Yaroun martyrs' honor ceremony in Al-Housh town, Sayyed Fadlallah stressed that Hezbollah agreed to the truce after obtaining guarantees from the Lebanese officials that the ceasefire sponsors will impose on the Zionist enemy to be committed to the terms, too.
Hezbollah reiterates call on the Lebanese state and Army to defend Lebanon's sovereignty and citizens, according to MP Fadlallah who stressed all the South of Litani River area is now controlled by the public institutions.
Regarding the dialogue being raised by the media outlets, MP Fadlallah emphasized that the defense strategy may never be discussed before the end of the Israeli occupation, the liberation of the Lebanese prisoners kidnapped by the enemy during the recent war, and the execution of the reconstruction project.
Hezbollah lawmaker added that the dialogue will be only with those who believe in defending the Lebanese sovereignty, away from the Israeli and US dictates, stressing: 'We may never engage in a dialogue with those who attack the Resistance.'
The Resistance Command may never relinquish the military power, Sayyed Fadlallah affirmed.
Regarding the reconstruction project, Sayyed Fadlallah underlined the role of the government in securing the necessary funds, adding that Hezbollah considers this file is as important as the resistance.

Al-Mashat Warns Investment Companies in ‘Israel': Leave Before It's Too Late

The head of Yemen's Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, urged all companies investing in the Israeli occupation entity to 'take the Yemeni warning seriously,' urging them to 'leave quickly.' In statements to the Yemeni Saba News Agency on Sunday, al-Mashat warned that the environment in the Israeli occupation entity is 'unsafe' for these companies, stressing that they 'must bear the consequences of their insistence (on remaining) and be responsible for any losses they may incur.' A source in the Yemeni Ministry of Defense to Saba News Agency: – 'Foreign investors and companies operating within the Zionist entity must leave immediately; the environment will not remain safe, and it is best to do so while the opportunity still exists.' – 'Our missiles are… — The Cradle (@TheCradleMedia) June 1, 2025 This warning follows a statement from Yemen's Ministry of Defense on Saturday advising foreign investors to 'leave immediately' while 'the opportunity remains.' Al-Mashat cautioned that additional measures may be implemented in coming days, placing companies at 'real and significant risk.' He criticized Netanyahu's government for 'gambling with investor safety' and announced that Yemeni authorities would soon establish a departure deadline. The Yemeni leader also revealed that some companies have already begun relocating assets following earlier warnings. In a related development, Al-Mashat designated all Israeli military air and maritime routes as combat zones unsafe for civilian traffic. This declaration came after Israeli warplanes struck Sanaa International Airport, prompting him to warn Israeli settlers that 'bunkers will no longer be safe.' Al-Mashat stated that Yemen's armed forces can engage Israeli aircraft without disrupting international navigation. 'Our armed forces will be able to deal with the hostile Zionist aircraft without any harm to air and maritime navigation,' he said.

Normalization with Israel only possible with two-state-solution, says Lebanon PM

'I would like to see a two-state solution, Israel withdrawing from the occupied territories in exchange for peace, and that peace will lead to normalization,' said the PM. Nawaf Salam, Prime Minister of Lebanon and former President of the International Court of Justice , said in an interview with CNN in Dubai this week that his country's normalization of relations with Israel would only be possible through a two-state solution that includes the creation of a Palestinian state. 'I would like to see a two-state solution, Israel withdrawing from the occupied territories in exchange for peace, and that peace will lead to normalization . Normalization is part of the vision.' Salam also said during the interview that Israel's presence 'in parts of southern Lebanon is undermining Beirut's attempts to restore sovereignty,' and added that he would like the US to pressure Israel to withdraw from the five outposts that it established a few hundred meters from the border. 'Israeli presence in Lebanon is a red line for everyone. This is not a red line for Hezbollah alone,' he added in the interview. He previously did an interview with Sky News Arabia this week, and told the source that his government would not be cooperating closely with Iran, and said that Lebanon would only consider peace with Israel if it was 'real peace.' 'We are a peace-seeking nation, but we want a real peace. Israel is occupying territories that belong to our country,' he said. As ICJ president, Salam initially presided over South Africa's ongoing genocide case against Israel.

Morgan Ortagus, key figure on Lebanon's file, may step down as US deputy envoy to the Mideast — what we know

Report by Toni Mrad, English adaptation by Karine Keuchkerian In January 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump appointed Morgan Ortagus as Deputy Special Envoy for the Middle East. Despite the appointment, Trump's announcement carried a tone of implicit skepticism and a lack of enthusiasm, reflecting personal reservations about the decision—even as Ortagus enjoyed "strong Republican support." In addition to her regional responsibilities, Ortagus was tasked with overseeing the Lebanon file and made two official visits to Beirut. During her first visit in February 2025, Ortagus met with Lebanese officials and said at a news conference that the United States had drawn a "red line" against Hezbollah's participation in the Lebanese government. She claimed that Hezbollah had been militarily defeated and should play no role in any future cabinet. In her second round of talks in April, Ortagus reiterated the urgent need to disarm Hezbollah and all other armed groups in Lebanon. A third visit to Lebanon had been expected in the coming days, but media reports now indicate that Ortagus will soon step down as part of broader changes within Trump's foreign policy team. She is reportedly being reassigned to another post within the administration. Although she had expressed interest in becoming the special envoy to Syria, the role was instead given to Thomas Barrack. The White House has not confirmed the change. Israel's Channel 14 reported that Ortagus' departure is "not good news" for Israel, citing her strong support for efforts to disarm Hezbollah.
